Galaxy S6 :: Google Music App Default Page
Oct 3, 2015When I launch the Google Music App, the default page is the Listen Now, which takes the user to recommended music and music stations.
Is there anyway to have it open to My Library?

Galaxy S6 :: Can't Make Google Play Music The Default Music App
Apr 13, 2015With my S4, when I connected to bluetooth in my car and then switched to Media, it automatically started playing Google Play Music. Now with the S6, doing the same thing plays local "music" (ringtones) via the built in Samsung Music app. I can't find a way to change the default, and I can't disable the Music app. it's possible to make another music app the default, and if so how?

I've tried to change the homepage, the subsequent tabs, delete and reinstall the update, but no avail. It still tries to load the deleted document.
Galaxy S6 :: 10 Second Delay To Do Google Search On Home Page
Jun 2, 2015When I press microphone to do google search on home page--sometimes 10 second delay.
On S6 I notice whether at home with wifi or out with only cell data, that when I press the mic icon to do a google voice search I will see a white screen for up to 10+ seconds until the word "Listening" pops up.
It is as if it cannot connect to the service to perform the voice search immediately. Once it does connect, I can perform a web voice search with absolutely no delay...
Under running apps, Google App is of course running. I did disable these apps but not sure any would make a difference-except perhaps Cloud???
Note: I am not syncing Gmail or using a Google Email account for contacts, email, etc..

It seems to be installed properly and I see the shortcut for it. If I go into settings and try to set it for the default launcher it's nowhere to be found. I see TouchWiz, action launcher, and Nova but no Google Now.

Dec 11, 2015I have the Verizon S5 SM-G900V running 5.0, I use OK google to set up things like the days I work, Where I'm working, Who I'm working for, Dr. Appointments etc. Well when setting up these things using OK google voice command it automatically defaults to reminding only 15 minutes before the event. I need a full day notice so if someone asks me a day before hand if I'm available the next day I'll already know. Instead as it is right now if I forget I have Dr appointment it only gives 15 minutes notice and with my Dr being 45 min drive away this is just not sufficient. (MORE DETAIL) I am in fact using the google calendar on my phone and not the samsung calendar.
I have went to google calendar on my laptop clicked on the gear and went to calendar settings and changed that to default 1 day for both settings listed there and saved. I know this won't change past submissions but it didn't default to 1 day on new submissions on OK google. I even manually synced the calendar and tried again. The old phone I had (LG Exceed 2) allowed me to set a setting in the calendar settings to default events to remind 1 day in advance. But no matter where I go in the S5 (google settings,calendar settings, OK google settings) Or even web calendar settings I can't find a way to make it work?? This is a big nuisance for me to have to manually change it every time.

Sep 12, 2014And set it up so that when I plug in my headphones and hit play on the remote, the music starts playing. On my S3, it was really easy. I just installed the app, and when asked if I wanted to set it as my default music player, I just said yes, and presto! Poweramp all day every day. I'd plug in my headphones and it was good to go. But on my S5, there doesn't seem to be any way to set a default music player. If I go into my application manager and go to Poweramp, under "Launch by default", It says "No defaults set", but there is no way to press the "Clear defaults" button because it isn't highlighted. It's just faded.
This is the case for Google Play Music, and the default S5 music player app as well. When I go to "Default applications" in the settings, under "Set Defaults", there are only 2 options: "Home" (TouchWiz Home), and "Messages", but there doesn't appear to be any way from here to set any new default apps such as my music player of choice. The worst part is, maybe 4 out of 10 times, when I plug in my headphones and click the play button on the remote, Poweramp will start and a song will start to play, but the other 6 times, I'll click play and nothing will happen and I have to unlock my phone and manually press play on the Poweramp widget on one of my home screens. I just want to plug in my headphones and have it work consistently every time like it did on my S3.

Dec 14, 2015I just bought this device, love it so far. When I use a Google Voice command like, "play Madonna", it defaults to Sound Picker and doesn't play any songs. I noticed Music app is not even listed as a choice. See pic.

Jun 10, 2015I use the default Calendar app on my S5 with several Gmail accounts, all which have default reminder settings. None of those accounts will use my default for calendar reminders, even after Syncing and rebooting. I've gone into my phone settings and searched for Notification, Reminder and Calendar and none of those settings have default reminders. I can only select to enable to disable these options.

Every time I select my phone as the Music source in the BMW Nav, the phone chooses the last used music source. So, if I've rebooted the phone and haven't used any media players on phone, it opens the Samsung built in music player and plays the demo song that came with the S6.
If I last opened Spotify, the next time I select my phone Spotify auto plays. Same with Pandora.
Any way to select a default and work around this "last used" setting?

Feb 4, 2016Not sure if this is a Windows 10 Mobile problem or a Lumia 950 issue.
When using my Edge or UC Browser I find that each time I press the BACK button on a page it sends me to the top of the screen I was previously on.
With my 920, and desktop browsers, when I press back it takes me to the location of the screen I was previously on. This is a huge inconvenience when the page I am browsing is long and I then need to scroll all the way back down to get to where I was before.
I also notice this to be the case on the Microsoft Sports app. The News app works properly but the Sports app, Edge, and UC Browser all exhibit this irritating trait.

I transferred all my music to Google Music and works great from my laptop. The problem is when I try to listen to my music on Google Music from my phone. It only allows me to listen to all of it if I am on wifi. But if I enable the "downloaded only" option only a few of them downloaded. Sep 30, 2015I seem to have developed a strange problem since the update to 5.1.1 a couple of days ago. When I connect to my Edge via bluetooth, and use Google Play Music, there is a beep in the background and the music stutters and then continue playing, then about 30 seconds later it happens again...it coninues for about 10 to 15 minutes then the problem disappeared entirely. I don't believe it is entirely Google Play Music because I paused Google Play Music and the beeping continued in the background. ......perhaps the bluetooth connection? I haven't been able to reproduce the error but it has happened twice.
