This is an AT&T phone and I have google set as my homepage but it keeps opening in Yahoo and I have to move the screen down to get the home button to appear. I would like it to open directly into google everytime.

When I tap my home button on my Galaxy S2 it goes to my 4th page. How do I change that to another page like page 1.? I have tried removing pages, also moving around pages and even removing and going down to 1 page then adding more of my apps back yet it always goes to the last page...

On S6 I notice whether at home with wifi or out with only cell data, that when I press the mic icon to do a google voice search I will see a white screen for up to 10+ seconds until the word "Listening" pops up.
It is as if it cannot connect to the service to perform the voice search immediately. Once it does connect, I can perform a web voice search with absolutely no delay...
Under running apps, Google App is of course running. I did disable these apps but not sure any would make a difference-except perhaps Cloud???
Note: I am not syncing Gmail or using a Google Email account for contacts, email, etc..

when ever I try to enter a link (and/or any website, web search etc.) I get to a blank web page. only after I return to the previous page and retry accessing the website and loads properly.

This is a new problem for me as I have previously had no difficulty connecting to my PC transferring files, especially music files.
Windows 7 on PC, Android 6 on Nexus 5. I am not rooted.
One solution mentioned in the other similar post said to go to:
Settings|Storage and USB|3dots| Menu in the Upper R Corner| USB Computer Connection is MTP
When I click on the 3 dots all I see is the option for "help and feedback". Not useful.
Accessing the device manager on the PC shows the Nexus 5 under portable devices. Clicking to update drivers shows the drivers are up to date.
Looking at "Devices and Printers" shows 2 Nexus 5 icons. One is described as a portable media player. Clicking on it brings up the blank page. The other icon under properties lists the device as a phone. Double clicking on the icon brings up Bluetooth operations which shows PC<->BT<->Nexus 5. I currently have Bluetooth turned off on the Nexus 5.
I recently ordered a w995 from overseas, and for some reason I am unable to change the default page on the web browser. Although I tried changing the setting in Internet Services -> Options -> Advanced -> Connectivity -> Default homepage, the browser seems to ignore the page I provide. Is there any way that I can override this behaviour?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid Turbo. Sometime today the little microphone button on my home page has stopped working when pressed. It only happens on my homepages on the phone, so if I tap on Google and bring up the browser page or then I can tap on the microphone and talk.
If I'm on the Home Screen; however, I can press it again and again and it is totally unresponsive. I have tried:
-turning the phone off and on again,
- going onto home-screen settings and turning google search on and off
- downloaded a anti-virus program suggested by a friend with the same phone and done searches.
This may seem like a rather small issue, but I use that microphone button a lot when using my phone.

Whenever I exit the app and re-launch, it restores the previous session (i.e., it reloads the last page viewed).
I'd like it to always start on the page I've defined as my home page.
I was using my phone earlier, everything was fine. I looked at it later, all my folders and icons are gone from my home page. The only thing on the page are the four things on the bottom. Phone, Chrome, Contacts and apps. I can get to everything from the app drawer, should be a simple matter to repopulate my home page. I've restarted my phone several times. I've both just restarted, and shut down, then restarted. All of my history seems to still be in the apps, I.e my email accts are signed in, my s-health history is there. The only thing that's changed are the icons have vanished from my home page. Phone is bone stock

On my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active I could use Any Cut to create a short cut, and while Any Cut still has limited functionality on 4.4.2 it no longer shows Playlists. Just trying to create a shortcut to a playlist, so I do not have to navigate through multiple screens to start the playlist I want to play.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi've had my S2 for about a month now and have noticed over the last week , how slow it is to return to the home page. This is returning from anything whether that be from an application or messaging or just going into the settings. I've timed it today and it takes 7 seconds to return. It doesnt matter whether i use the home button or use the back button , it still takes ages. When moving between other screens, the phone is its normal fast speed its just when it returns back to the home page.

It's always an app that's on the screen. For example if I have a screen with only Google play and camera icons on it, when I unlock the screen via fingerprint, one of those 2 apps will open up. It doesn't open the icons in my dock, just the ones in the screen. I have already cleared app cache and system cache (recovery mode).

I've upgraded to Lollipop on my S5, and for some reason, my google chrome start page and subsequent tabs, are trying to open a document that I had written and deleted.
I've tried to change the homepage, the subsequent tabs, delete and reinstall the update, but no avail. It still tries to load the deleted document.
I've set my location service for "high Accuracy" and still have to manually reset the location (and, often, force a reset) when I go from one place to another. This is silly and downright annoying. What else can be done?

View 11 Replies View RelatedSince yesterday the phone keeps getting stuck on "Opening" when I get in any of the galleries (Photos, Videos, Animations, etc.), and when I try to access any of the multimedia content via /Config/General/Personalization, and stuff like that. The only way to access it its through File Administration. It gets a little slow opening the pics and videos, but get the job done, however, it isn't the same thing.Any thoughts on how can I fix it? It will let me go to a site but then won't let me go anywhere else. For example it will let me go to google.com and then I will google something and it goes to the AT&T world phone page and something pops up and says "A problem occured while trying to render the page" anyone know why it's not working?
