Galaxy S6 :: How To Change Default Music Player Through Bluetooth Connection

I've got a 2014 BMW with Nav/BT,
Every time I select my phone as the Music source in the BMW Nav, the phone chooses the last used music source. So, if I've rebooted the phone and haven't used any media players on phone, it opens the Samsung built in music player and plays the demo song that came with the S6.
If I last opened Spotify, the next time I select my phone Spotify auto plays. Same with Pandora.
Any way to select a default and work around this "last used" setting?

I just bought this device, love it so far. When I use a Google Voice command like, "play Madonna", it defaults to Sound Picker and doesn't play any songs. I noticed Music app is not even listed as a choice. See pic.
Is there a way to have the stock Music app as one of the choices instead of Sound Picker?

Whenever I connect my Atrix 2 to my car stereo via bluetooth, DoubleTwist comes up and immediately starts playing the last album I happened to be playing on it. I have several music players installed, and would like to configure the phone so another is the default. Any way to do this? I've tried browsing to a music file and pressing it to bring up the "Complete action using..." dialog, but the app I want to use (PowerAMP) is not listed among the choices. Am I out of luck on this, or just restricted to those apps that show in the popup?

I have two music apps - standard Motorola (which I do not use) and Google Music (which is my preferred). And my question is ... is there a way to set Google Music as default player that accepts bluetooth commands?My typical use case - when I try to play music using bluetooth system in my car, I have to manually open Google Music from the phohe, otherwise standard Motorola Music app would take over and play. And since there is no way to uninstall it, I have to stop motorola music app, switch to google music and manually start music there.

I recently bought a Galaxy S6 Edge and am really liking it so far. However the one thing (so far) that I don't like is that I cannot use a 3rd party application to listen to my voice mails. My provider sends my voice messages as an AMR attachment in an MMS. When playing the AMR attachment the default app is sound player (I think), which plays the audio through the external speaker. With other phones I have had great success with WavPlayer which allows switching between the external speaker and the ear speaker. It will even allow you to switch automatically if it detects you raising the phone to your ear.
In short I want to use WavPlayer instead of the default app for listening to my voicemails from the messages app but have not figured out how to accomplish this.

And set it up so that when I plug in my headphones and hit play on the remote, the music starts playing. On my S3, it was really easy. I just installed the app, and when asked if I wanted to set it as my default music player, I just said yes, and presto! Poweramp all day every day. I'd plug in my headphones and it was good to go. But on my S5, there doesn't seem to be any way to set a default music player. If I go into my application manager and go to Poweramp, under "Launch by default", It says "No defaults set", but there is no way to press the "Clear defaults" button because it isn't highlighted. It's just faded.
This is the case for Google Play Music, and the default S5 music player app as well. When I go to "Default applications" in the settings, under "Set Defaults", there are only 2 options: "Home" (TouchWiz Home), and "Messages", but there doesn't appear to be any way from here to set any new default apps such as my music player of choice. The worst part is, maybe 4 out of 10 times, when I plug in my headphones and click the play button on the remote, Poweramp will start and a song will start to play, but the other 6 times, I'll click play and nothing will happen and I have to unlock my phone and manually press play on the Poweramp widget on one of my home screens. I just want to plug in my headphones and have it work consistently every time like it did on my S3.

I had installed Ovi Player. Whenever I try to open Ovi Player, the default store gets' open is "India". I change the store location to "Germany". When I do the search for particular music, it will again take me to "India" store instead of "Germany" store. In addition, most annoying is that I have to re-login but my user id and password will not work as its different store. Also when I go via music.nokia.de and try to login, it open Ovi player and since default location is "India", it takes me to India store and my login credentials do not I ask Nokia care on how to change default Ovi Player Store location but they are unable to provide any good I already un-install / re-installed but won't work. Do any of you have answer to my problem? I want my default Ovi Player location to be "Germany" instead of "

I have a giant library of music files, mostly mp3s. I am trying to play them using the default music player, which I belive is the only player that can show up on the home screen. I can create my own playlist, but it looks like I have to add songs one by one to the playlist, which is a huge pain.If I use "all songs", then some of the garbage ringtones and mp3s that came with the phone also get included.

Have installed QuasarMx on my Anna E6 and would like to have as my default music player but when I go to settings|application settings|default applications and try and change the default for playing music only the Nokia Music player is listed.

Does anyone know if it's possible to change the music player without elf? When I tried elf my phone didn't start and so on so I'll skip them from now. had a X3-02. Whenever the bluetooth headset is activated, the Music player is also automatically started. I have had an LG Nexus 4 for about 2 years, and I remember transferring music from my old Samsung S2 to the Nexus 4 was a breeze (was able to move 1,200 songs in a few minutes by Bluetooth). Today I purchased an LG G3 and now I want to move the music from the Nexus 4 to the G3. I cannot figure out a quick and easy way to so this.... the music player on the Nexus 4 does not allow me to select Bluetooth as a transfer option. I also tried installing the LG Cloud.... I can get songs to go to the cloud, but only 1 song at a time (this will take forever and makes no sense at all). There has to be a simpler, more efficient way to transfer music from 1 phone to the other....

How do I control which music player is used when my phone is connected to my car's bluetooth? Or, is there anyway to disable the stock music player? For example, I have the atrix's stock music player, google music, and spotify installed on my phone, and the phone will randomly select which one it would like to use when the bluetooth connects. Even if I was just listening to google music, when the bluetooth connects, the phone will automatically switch to the stock player (even though last time I was in the car I was using google music).
Sometimes I'll be listening to google music, and when I change the song it will revert to the stock player. How to make it so that the music always stops when bluetooth disconnects? The music player will randomly keep playing or pause when I turn the car off. I want it to always pause. This seems to be affected by random music programs being installed (even when not in use) such as spotify or iheartradio.

i want the memory card to be default in the phone, so that i can just put all my music on it and forget about it. at the moment i use ovi player but this just puts it on the mass media memory, therefore filling it up quickly. is there a setting in either the phone or the application to put memory card as default?

My car stereo is bluetooth capable for both telephone and music. The phone bonds with the car when I get in and detects the bluetooth audio player then autoplays. I'd like to choose when it plays. Having not listened to music on the phone during my journey I get out of the car and the phone detects the bluetooth is lost and plays music through the phones speakers. This means every time I get out of the car I have to get the phone out of my pocket, unlock the phone, find the media player / widget and stop the music. Could I control when media plays with bluetooth enabled stereos.

With my S4, when I connected to bluetooth in my car and then switched to Media, it automatically started playing Google Play Music. Now with the S6, doing the same thing plays local "music" (ringtones) via the built in Samsung Music app. I can't find a way to change the default, and I can't disable the Music app. it's possible to make another music app the default, and if so how?
