Have installed QuasarMx on my Anna E6 and would like to have as my default music player but when I go to settings|application settings|default applications and try and change the default for playing music only the Nokia Music player is listed.
View 1 RepliesI'm wondering if there is an alternative to the default music player on the E7, the reason I ask is I just can't get used to it, it seems determined to have me just "shuffle" everytime, trying to make a playlist is near impossible because it groups by artist and not album.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen i connect my E71 device via the USB cable it shows in the Nokia suite that there is 352 songs on my device in the music libary, however when i go to the E71 and press refresh it only detects 140 songs ( these songs are derived from my memory card 8GB microSD . When i seem to try and refresh it after it had found the 140 songs it constantly has the 'Refreshing. Added: 0.' searching for music. How do i get it to detect the full 352 that it shows in my Nokia suite and that i have in the actual device.

I am trying to play them using the default music player, which I belive is the only player that can show up on the home screen. I can create my own playlist, but it looks like I have to add songs one by one to the playlist, which is a huge pain.If I use "all songs", then some of the garbage ringtones and mp3s that came with the phone also get included.
View 8 Replies View RelatedAnd set it up so that when I plug in my headphones and hit play on the remote, the music starts playing. On my S3, it was really easy. I just installed the app, and when asked if I wanted to set it as my default music player, I just said yes, and presto! Poweramp all day every day. I'd plug in my headphones and it was good to go. But on my S5, there doesn't seem to be any way to set a default music player. If I go into my application manager and go to Poweramp, under "Launch by default", It says "No defaults set", but there is no way to press the "Clear defaults" button because it isn't highlighted. It's just faded.
This is the case for Google Play Music, and the default S5 music player app as well. When I go to "Default applications" in the settings, under "Set Defaults", there are only 2 options: "Home" (TouchWiz Home), and "Messages", but there doesn't appear to be any way from here to set any new default apps such as my music player of choice. The worst part is, maybe 4 out of 10 times, when I plug in my headphones and click the play button on the remote, Poweramp will start and a song will start to play, but the other 6 times, I'll click play and nothing will happen and I have to unlock my phone and manually press play on the Poweramp widget on one of my home screens. I just want to plug in my headphones and have it work consistently every time like it did on my S3.
Last year I bought an E71 as part of a 24 month contract. Recently, my sister and I swapped phones and kept our respective sim cards (which are on the same network provider), my former phone accepts the sim card and she is able to send and recieve texts, and phone calls. The problem being that when she tries to make calls (from my former phone) there sometimes is no dial tone. I was told that the phone had saved data from my sim card and needed to be reformatted, is this the case?

Whenever I connect my Atrix 2 to my car stereo via bluetooth, DoubleTwist comes up and immediately starts playing the last album I happened to be playing on it. I have several music players installed, and would like to configure the phone so another is the default. Any way to do this? I've tried browsing to a music file and pressing it to bring up the "Complete action using..." dialog, but the app I want to use (PowerAMP) is not listed among the choices. Am I out of luck on this, or just restricted to those apps that show in the popup?

Every time I select my phone as the Music source in the BMW Nav, the phone chooses the last used music source. So, if I've rebooted the phone and haven't used any media players on phone, it opens the Samsung built in music player and plays the demo song that came with the S6.
If I last opened Spotify, the next time I select my phone Spotify auto plays. Same with Pandora.
Any way to select a default and work around this "last used" setting?

And my question is ... is there a way to set Google Music as default player that accepts bluetooth commands?My typical use case - when I try to play music using bluetooth system in my car, I have to manually open Google Music from the phohe, otherwise standard Motorola Music app would take over and play. And since there is no way to uninstall it, I have to stop motorola music app, switch to google music and manually start music there.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMusic Player widget shown on my screen: play/pause/rev.fwd buttons and the cover as well. For some reason the buttons and cover disapeared. I haven't installed or uninstalled new software.
I tired to delete and add the vidget again but simply my buttons are gone. The icone link to the music player, however, I cannot control from the main screen anymore.
Often make my own ringtones using Garageband on my Mac. Transfer the tone from Garageband into iTunes (can either be shared as a specific ringtone file ('mpr' I believe), or can transfer as a regular song ('mp3').Then I use Bluetooth to send the new ringtone file from the Mac to the Phone (E7-00, Symbian Anna).It gets stored, initially, in the E:/Received Files folder. Fair enough.But now here's the problem - where can I store the new ringtone file after that, so it would appear in the phone's 'Tones' folder, the one that's displayed when I want to, e.g., change the ringtone / text-message / email alert, altogether? What I'm getting at is that I'd very much like my new ring / alert tone to feature on the default list of all the Nokia-assigned ringtones that comes as standard with the phone?Otherwise, it appears I have to save the file in the generic songs list to be played (and used as a ring / alert tone), amongst all the other actual music I listen to with the Music Player function, which I don't want to do...
