I have had a S5 for almost a year, and upgraded to lollipop recently - like everyone else. Now I find that I cannot change or update the primary short cuts at the bottom of the screen. I try to drag an icon from a home page, but it will not drop into this area.
I've just upgraded iTunes and am trying to update to iOS5.1.1 and keep getting the message saying the update will delete all the apps etc, to preserve content apply the update on the computer where you sync apps, music etc. The thing is this is the computer where I sync everything, when I plug the phone in it autosyncs just fine.
I have am x6, and in the main am happy with it. However as previous owner of 3 diff n series, there are a couple of usability issues that drive me up the wall! For instance, i came to rely on the 'menu plus c' shortcut to quickly close apps. But no matter where i look, i haven't found a similar shortcut on the x6. Which means closing apps can only be done by going back in and doing it manually from within the app. Annoying and slow Is it me, or has that kind of shortcut been removed? Can anyone help? Thanks in advance kenty
I have a 7373 phone since last year, I bought it from my friends. I have sort of trouble, and it ends up I have to re install my phone to 'unofficial' phone centre. The problem I'm having now, is that I have a trouble in my 'go to' menu or navigation shortcut. Whenever I tried to make an application to be assigned in a button or in the 'go to' menu, my phone is restarted with a blank screen. Yet other feature was just doing fine and didn't have any problem. Application works well, and messaging also doing great.
I've had my un-locked S2 for over a year now and due to inactivity on the registered gmail account I am no longer able to use my phone for navigation or anything else that looks for me to be logged into my gmail account before proceeding.
I've searched for any answer that would avoid the "recommended" restore to factory defaults (which deletes all my apps, photos, etc). I found one reasonable "work around" which required running the root explorer APK, which I installed and ran only to get the message "application closed unexpectedly". Perhaps my phone has to be "rooted" to use this apk or it is simply corrupted.
Can anyone recommend a way to save all my data but change the "primary gmail" account? I could root the phone, if necessary but would like ideas before going that far afield.
Before the latest update, most of my apps were organized into folders and some of these folders were placed on the home screens. After the updates, some of the folders are "gone" not only from the home screen but from the apps area. I can see the apps if I go into App Manager, but I cannot open them from there. So I currently cannot find any way to open many apps that I previously downloaded (and app manager says I still have). Strangely, this only happened with some apps and folders but not all . What do I need to do to regain access to these apps?
After downloading the new software update, when my phone is locked and I press the home button twice for the shortcut to the camera it doesn't do anything after I press the camera icon! Before I updated it worked and now it doesn't! Why? It just shows the camera icon but when I press it, it doesn't take me to the camera.
I have a Sprint S5 running stock Lollipop. I have moved any apps that can be to the SD card. Anytime those apps are updated, they move back to the device storage. I got this phone shortly before Sprint pushed the Lollipop update so I cannot say for sure if I was having this issue prior to Lollipop.
I am using 8520 curve I have set left side to to lock the keypad. When I updated the phone I lost the shortcut for locking the keypad. When I tried setting it up from option/screen/keyboard, I could not find option to set left side key to shortcut.
after installing the Android 5.1.1 update on my Galaxy S6 edge almost all home screen icons have disappeared, even the bottom ones like phone, contacts and messages. The apps icons in the app drawer have also completely disappeared. The apps are still there and working, but I can only access them when I get a new notification.I have tried rebooting several times, and clearing the Touchwiz launcher data, but nothing changes.
Is there a way to create a home screen shortcut for the "Close All" I'm not here to debate RAM management and how android handles it, I'm well aware of that, I just want to know if there is a way to create a shortcut for it. I'm also not interested in third party apps.
I just got my phone. I realised that I do not have a shortcut for my files and the only way I can access it is through 'S Finder'. It is not on 'Apps' and how to create an icon for it on my 'Apps' or 'home screen'.
On my s4 I was able to add a direct dial shortcut to my home screen so that you could call a particular contact with just one touch. I can't find this option on the s6. How to do it?
I visit a web page daily and I would like a direct shortcut to it from my home screen. Unfortunately the actual URL changes every day, and the website takes care of the details by changing the URL from a generic one to a specific URL based on the current date. All I have to do is navigate to the generic URL (by clicking on the website's menu), and the correct URL is formulated.
I would like to add this generic URL to my home screen. However, when the page loads it's already too late to save a shortcut to home screen, because the URL has changed. And I cannot find a way to edit the URL before the shortcut is created, or later.
I don't want the side standby button to lock my device EVERY time I press it, and sometimes I can't wait 5/10/15 minutes for the device to lock itself.
A few times a day, I press the home key and my phone asks "What would you like to do?" I guess there's either a fault with my home button or I'm double-pressing it without realizing. Can I turn off this shortcut?
The camera short cut on the lock bar does not work after latest update 5.1 done today on iPhone 4S.The update was done on wifi without interface of iTunes as the iPhone setting was showing an alert.
