IPhone :: PC Recognized It As A Camera And Its Not Connected To Itunes?
Jun 14, 2012Had an unusual problem with my Iphone. Its been syncing fine with my XP pc and itunes is fine up to last night, my son had his iphone and connected it to my profile but it didnt sync as you would expect, however now the problem is no apple product will connect correctly to the pc on any profile?We have 2 i phone 4s and 2 ipods 4th gen they all now connect as image devices and itunes doesn't recognise them I think its something to do with the PC seeing the iphone / ipod but im not sure, I have reinstalled itunes and everything else is up to date. but I'm baffled now?

Jan 24, 2012Yesterday i took a few pictures and wanted to upload it onto my Pc. It doesnot come up in my Images folder. The last folder that came up was 2011 folder and my 2012 folders for january and february isnot there. if i go to my galery, the images are there but not there when connected to the pc. Is there something wrong with any setting on my phone?

May 27, 2012I took a 30 minute video of my sons kindergarten graduation on my iphone 4s and it shows up on the phone in the camera roll. When i connected it to my computer to tranfer this video to itunes it doesnt show up anywhere, except in my camera roll on my phone. ive transferred many videos and cannot figure out what im doing wron with this one.

Aug 4, 2015I usually have my phone plugged in to the aux cord when I am in my car so that I can listen to music. Naturally, when a call comes through, I answer it. The people on the line say that they hear an echo of themselves when they talk. I assume this is because the sound is coming through the speakers of my car and then back into the phone. I tried activating the HD calling on Verizon, but that did not seem to work. I did not have this issue on any of my old phones (S3, Moto X.) It is difficult to take my phone off the aux cord every time I get a call.

Aug 6, 2011I have a new Galaxy S2 that I am totally delighted with (apart from the rather poor wifi signal reception, but that's not really a problem for me).I've noticed a strange thing though (and I don't know if this matters at all because everything still seems to work). When I connect my Galaxy up to my PC, it used to look something like this:(This is not my image, but it's the best I could find.) Basically, it used to say connected and show a picture of a USB connector.Now, for some strange reason, my S2 does not do that. When I connect up with USB, I still see the normal home screen and can navigate around as normal, at the same time as using Kies or accessing the S2 from my PC.Does anyone know why this is? Do other people's S2's behave like this, or do you all still see the USB image on screen?

That prompted me to check the security for my Wi-Fi, which is still in place. I use the Cisco Linksys EA6300 for my Wi-Fi. I have always been prompted for a password when first connecting. Maybe it was me signing into my Google account? Maybe it stores Wi-Fi passwords?

- No problem from the Wifi end because I've another phone and it connects just fine over wifi.
I have hade som problems with my Wifi before using my Iphone that forced me to restart the wifi on my Iphone, but it worked when i did that.
I tried to restart my router, modem and phone wich made it work but not for long. So the issue is that it connects fine to the Wifi but i dont have any internet.

I noticed that the phone contacts never download beyond 3 contacts(I have over 1,000) so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Nov 23, 2014I've never had a problem connecting to my home wifi, everything was working fine on Friday, I left the house, went to my girlfriends and my phone connected to her wifi without a problem as usual. I returned home on Saturday and my S5 failed to connect to my wifi, I connected it manually and it connects and disconnects almost instantly. I have 5 other devices including a samsung galaxy note 4 in the house which all work perfectly fine. I've tired switching the router off and on again and that makes no difference, I removed the phone battery for 5 minutes and it then connects to the wifi for about 5-10 seconds then again disconnects, what else I can try....

Then all of a sudden the WiFi would say connected and strong signal but all of my apps would say check connection. I've been going over my limit on mobile data because of this and recently I went home for the weekend and the phone had no problem using my WiFi at home. Also anywhere on campus my laptop and old iPhone 4 get great WiFi service so the problem has to be with my S5.

Mar 23, 2015Recently spent a long time outdoors in the rain, but phone was never wet. Got home and when I tried to charge it, it wouldn't work. Then when I finally got it to charge (left it overnight) it had only charged to 50% and would stop immediately after reaching 50%. Now the "USB connector connected" notification randomly shows up, even when the phone is not connected to anything. Several seconds later it says it's disconnected. Is the phone damaged, or is it my charger? Just bought another battery on amazon and an external charger in case it's the phone. I read somewhere to hard reset it but I have too much stuff to back-up. If nothing else works, I'll have to do it, but I'm saving that as a last resort.

Sep 25, 2014I have just upgraded from a galaxy S4 to S5 and I'm having big problems with receiving calls and SMS when I am connected to my home WIFI connection.
Only when I turn off wifi on my phone I start receiving the backlog of SMS messages.
Some times I can receive calls when connected to wifi but the SMS messages don't come through until I disconnect.
My wife has also just upgraded from a s4 to s5 but hers appears to be ok.
I have noticed that in more networks/mobile networks/network mode, my wife's gives options of 3G, 4g etc but mine says LTE/WCDMA/gsm which I though was strange as we are both on virgin mobile. I don't think this is the issue though as it's a wifi issue.

Oct 17, 2014My first smartphone is a Galaxy S5 and I use ATT as my provider.I have had the phone since it came out and for the first few months I was using low data. ATT called me and recommend I downgrade my data plan. I followed their advice and downgraded. Anyway, about three months ago my data usage that counts on my bill went through the roof. I haven't changed anything that I am aware.
I called ATT and they told me that Data usage counting on my bill will always take precedent over WIFI when I am connected to WIFI (like in my house). As an example if I watch a movie or listen to the radio with my smartphone at my house with my WIFI connected, then my data usage used for these services will count on my bill.
Do I automatically have to disable my mobile data everytime I connect to a WIFI in order NOT to be charged? I assumed that WIFI took precedent and that as long as WIFI was connected then the data used wouldn't count on my bill. If this is true, then is there anyway to have my phone automatically disconnect when I am connected to WiFi?

Jan 15, 2012i've galaxy s2 baught it a week ago, it's my first time connecting it to my pc via micro usb. i see the storage drive in the computer opens up i can explore copy & paste, the handset charges normaly, but the touch screen stops responding. everything just freezes, just for once internet explorer opened after a long time which seems like a late response of my pressing on touchscreen however the menu and back button work well but can't press or click on anything.. i know this isn't normal.

But when I connect it to my S6, there is no such feature. Do I have to enable it in the settings? Or is it just a feature only available on IOS and LG.The speaker does come with a battery indicator, but its pretty vague. 3 lights only, and it indicates Full battery, 75% and low battery only. It'll be great to know the exact amount.
