When I have the phone connected to the charger, the display screen is cycling on and off every 10 -15 seconds. how to get it to stop doing this and just remain with screen off?

I have tried using Smart Actions but the only options seem to be changing the screen timeout option to a maximum of staying on for 10 minutes. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an 8220 flip (with T-Mobile) that has stopped responding half the time. Some of the time it works perfectly -- and then, without warning, the screens go dark (both inside or out, depending on whether I have the phone open at the time) and the red "you have a message" light comes on, and stays on for about ten seconds. Then everything goes dark for a bit, and then the screen goes white, with the spinning clock in the middle. After ten or fifteen seconds, the screen goes dark again and the red light comes back, and the cycle repeats endlessly until I take out the battery.
Sometimes replacing the battery fixes the problem; sometimes it doesn't. The phone seems most likely to be lucid when fully charged, but swapping out the battery for another has not worked.
Worked fine lastnight, woke up to the screen not responding and the charger not being recognized as a "Samsung charger or battery" message (but they're the same ones that came with the phone and have been working up until now). I did the factory reset and still nothing...

Is this supposed to be a feature?I think I also observed that the vibrating is gone when the battery is very low. It then does not return until the battery is fully charged again.

every time I plug the USB battery charger (nokia standard model), or when I connect E52 to my PC the phone goes in locked state and ask for the security/lock code to unlock it.I know it because it's the default 12345 and after pressing OK the phone continues to work, but if I disconnect USB and connect it again, it goes again to clocked state (like doing it with the power button). firmware is 71.004I have this problem sice some months, but I'm not sure when it started ... may be the last firmware upgrade ? Or the last reset of the phone ....
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my Lumia 610 with charger, Its touch screen gets stuck. It does not allow me to unlock the phone by sliding the wallpaper upside. When I disconnect charger then it works like anything. I had also noted that some times, the wallpaper keeps jumping and suddenly slides upside and random applications gets started. But again when I remove the charger then it works normally. Is there any issue regarding the USB connector?

I got home 5 hours later and plugged in the charger, immediately turning it on. However, when I turned it on, I saw that it still had 38% so I did some stuff on it when the app I was using said I had no connection.
I reconnected to my WiFi but it still said I had no connection. I unplugged it and turned off the phone, but then I couldn't turn it on again. So I charged it again, and attempted to turn it on while still charging but all it would give me was the Google logo (which is the first thing that shows up when you turn on a Nexus 5) for about 2 seconds and then it would turn off again, even while plugged in. Now when it's charging, it keeps going to the Google logo for 2 seconds, shows a black screen for 3 seconds, goes back to the Google logo and keeps repeating this cycle.

iPhone won't turn on. When I connect it to my charger it turns on, comes to a screen saying iPhone, then says connect to itunes. When I connect it to my computer it shows the screen with the apple for a few seconds.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a new Galaxy S2 that I am totally delighted with (apart from the rather poor wifi signal reception, but that's not really a problem for me).I've noticed a strange thing though (and I don't know if this matters at all because everything still seems to work). When I connect my Galaxy up to my PC, it used to look something like this:(This is not my image, but it's the best I could find.) Basically, it used to say connected and show a picture of a USB connector.Now, for some strange reason, my S2 does not do that. When I connect up with USB, I still see the normal home screen and can navigate around as normal, at the same time as using Kies or accessing the S2 from my PC.Does anyone know why this is? Do other people's S2's behave like this, or do you all still see the USB image on screen?

i've galaxy s2 baught it a week ago, it's my first time connecting it to my pc via micro usb. i see the storage drive in the computer opens up i can explore copy & paste, the handset charges normaly, but the touch screen stops responding. everything just freezes, just for once internet explorer opened after a long time which seems like a late response of my pressing on touchscreen however the menu and back button work well but can't press or click on anything.. i know this isn't normal.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI had been using my N900 for 2 weeks without any issues. I never updated the software. Last night I was trying to take a picture and opened the camera lens cover. Accidentally I pressed the power button instead of the camera capture key while trying to take the picture. The display went off. I also found the phone felt warmer than usual. I took the battery out, put it in and tried again. No success. This time the phone did seem to be getting hot. I took the battery out and tried several hours later. No effect - the phone wasn't feeling warm either. I tried both the USB and wall charger - the LED was glowing green, but the phone wouldn't turn on.
Now even with the charger connected, the LED doesn't glow. Being a Sunday, I can't contact Nokia Care till tomorrow. Breaks my heart to think the hardware could get messed up so easily. We've had several Nokias in the family but not a high end one like N900. I've tried everything suggested in other forurms (including Maemo). I tried to update software with NSU. The NSU can't even detect the N900 when I connect it to the USB port. Probably suggests the battery is flat. I don't have a 5800 to try and recharge the battery externally - its shocking to know the phone can't charge if the battery is flat. If a laptop can why can't a "smart" phone? Anything else I can try?
I have a problem with my nokia 8600 luna, when I plug in the charger it displays that headset connected. What could be the problem? I took it to a repair shop and it replaced the socket but still the same.

Basically, the blackberry screen will come on and the bar will go about 3/4 of the way full and it recycles! I am running the latest OS 6. It started doing this out of the blue! I tried connecting to desktop to find a way to reinstall the OS but I can't get it to detect my phone. I tied taking out the battery all night and using a different battery...still nothing.
