after update my E72 to version 071.1004, I went to ovistore and had to update for a new version of ovistore.But got the message "install failed".so i can`t install the new version of Ovi-store.tried several things nothing worked.
View 4 Repliesi just got beack my phone back because of the same problem, and 2 days after it happened again. When i click on the ovi store button, the loading image is not in the middle of the screen but at he top left part. And if i leave my phone to load the application it just loads and nothing happens.After i got back my phone i restore the latest .nbu file, maybe it doesn't like some setting.

I did the install and after a restart, was prompted to do several more updates: Anna 1/2, Anna 2/2, Ovi Suite, Maps and Anna Service Pack. When the update finished I was told that Anna1/2 and Ovi Store had failed, while the others were all sucessful. I have tried it several times but it fails every time.The phone appears to be working OK but the failure of Anna 1/2 is a bit worrying as I do not know the significance of it and the Ovi Store failure is annoying as I cannot launch it. The Ovi Store would not launch previously either ,so I was hoping the upgrade to Symbain Anna would fix that

The update started and everything looked normal. I returned a few hours later and found a message on my PC that the istallation failed or was interupted. The phone was "frozen" with a black screen and not responding.

After restarting I noticed that all my settings are gone. In my home screen by default all the icons, mailing and widgets are default, which was there when I bought the phone more than 6 months back. It is set to the three home screens, as if it is new phone.I cheked the menu and observe that all the apps that I downloaded are there even new Symbian anna is also there, mail settings are as it is.So what the apps/ software it was downloading without intimidating me I don't know, even I don't know till now what exactly happenned. Is it that Nokia was doing something over the Air (OTA), and which failed?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI cannot download and install the Symbian Anna 1/2 update, always when I try it says that the download and install failed.Same happens if I try downloading via Nokia Ovi, Nokia Software Installer or directly via phone menu.The Symbian Anna 2/2 update was installed with no problems.I have updated the E7 software to version 022.014.It seems that the E7 works with no problems, but in the software updater it is said that Anna 1/2 should be installed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install a software uodate on my E72 using Ovi Suite. I have not updated before. My phone is connected to my PC with a USB. I am using Windows XP. Ovi appears to have identified relevant updates and backed up the data on my phone. Ovi suite states that it is preparing to install. It has been like this for 4 hours. There is a warning not to disconnect the USB or switch off the phone or the phone may stop working. When I try to close Ovi suite it says it cannot be closed because it is busy. There is no option to cancel the install. My only options appear to be to shut down the PC or unplug the cable. Wish I had not started on this process.

Over The Air, but there was no clear definition on how to do that, So I want to the other option, Nokia Ovi PC Suite. The download kept failing but it kept resuming when I tried to download the update again. After the download finished Usually you do not need the internet to install something that you already downloaded (Should Always Be Like That!!) So I thought that and while the update was installing Nokia Ovi PC Suite said something about Cannot Connect To Service, Although My Internet was PERFECT! and I tried to turn on my E63 and it would just vibrate and then turn off. I tried reviving it by leaving the battery out for 5 mins ( I also left it out for 6 hours) And when you turn it on Hold the Green Button Call And the 3 and the *. But none of that works, I wanted to send my phone to Nokia Care through Post But you need the IMEI but How can I do that?

I have re-booted both normally and with long press of power button - No help.I also changed the default browser from Opera Mobile to Nokia's Web - No help either.
As a matter of fact, the E7 doesn't really make any use of the Default browser setting, but always launches the clumsy Nokia Web instead of Opera.

i bought a nokia e6 and after few months i switched off the mobile and it shows phone start up failed contact the retailer due to this I've to restart my phone 10 to 12 times and its very irritating.And the preloaded apps are not working like ovi store.

The sim card I want to use works perfectly on other cell phones like my Sony Ericsson (which I don't want to use). My E71 is not sim-locked and I do not know where to go than here! A weird thing is that the E71 can not find the operator I want to use either and the operator's net is really good on other phones.

A few days ago it also had problems to start up: I pressed "on" button untill it vibrates (then it normally starts up) but it didn't do anything, after some tries (around 15) it did start up. Then today the phone just shutted down and wasn't able to start up. And I get the message in the title.I have tried hard reset (shift, space, backspace + on) but it doesn't do anything.I have the newest firmware for my country (Belgium) and i think its 92.003 but not entirely sure.
