Eseries / Communicators :: Nokia E7 "light Time-out" Feature

My brand new E7's "light time-out" is not funtioniong; no matter how I adjust it (anywhere from 5-60 secs). The only way it goes off is when the device is screen locked either manually or automatically which I think it's too long (minimum 1 min).
So, I sent it to a Nokia Care Center and they couldn't solve it saying it is the phone's default feature which I disagree.
Out of curiosity I tested a few E7s to a total of 15 todate and voila! IT IS NOT WORKING AS WELL! I can conclude this is a flaw in if not all but almost all E7s?

my Nokia E63 camera light has been staying on, i dont know how to get rid of it, i think its using more of the battery, and when i turn it off it remains on, the only way it disapears is when i take the battery out.

I bought Nokia E71 and everything works perfect, but offlate when i try to open the camera it says: feature not supported and i have a friend that says his E71 have the same problem from the day he bought it.

- Breathing light is set to On - Notificat.light is set to 1h and checked both Missed call and New message
By the way, where should notification light be appear on phone? (center button?) When there is message or missed call, I cannot see any light come up on any part of phone.

Previously I had to format and factory reset my nokia e7 , after the format I found out that when I send and SMS and I receive the delivery , the notification light start blinking , and as soon as I touch the touch screen or press on any of the phone buttons ( like the home key, volume or unlock ) it stops blinking , I'm sure it only has to blink when I receive an SMS , not when I receive a delivery.

I have a Nokia E72 (in fact i found the same problem on 5 devices with all possible firmware versions) and all of them had the same camera problem : in strong light condition (eg in the middle of the day, outside) camera cannot focus. It tries once but the brackets remain white and focus is not fixed, if i take the photo it is blurry.

Im using Nokia E6 from past 2-3 weeks. One of the most annoying features i found so far is that phone's keypad light doesn't turn on when you want to type the passcode for unlocking the phone. Even if you manage to unlock & want to type an SMS or a browser URL, still the keypad light is OFF. This makes it really annoying & next to impossible to type proper keys in darkness.When you leave the phone without touching any keys till its screen goes little dimmer, then when you press any navigation keys, then the keypad light actually turns on!

My Nokia E7 Breathing Light is NOT WORKING after Belle update. I've tried turning on and off the breathing light function under Setting>>Notification Lights however it is still not working. after upgrade to firmware 034.001 I noticed problem that after some time (like 1-2days) phone stops ringing on incoming calls. I see that call someone is calling but no sound comes out of phone (I can answer call and all is OK). I tried to change profiles General/Meeting but anyway after change I make test call and still no sound. Only thing that help is switch off and back on.

Does the Nokia E6 show the time sent of the message? or just the Time received? This is whenever your turn off then someone sends an SMS. After turning on, what does the time indicate in the message details?

I have used E63 before E72 and there was an option in E63 that as I selected to Synchronise after 30 Minutes then GPRS will disconnect and will be reconnect after 30 minutes and synchronise and disconnect.But in E72 GPRS all the time connected and sychronise. Is it possible that GPRS connect only the time at which we specified e.g. after 30 minutes.

I've had the E72 for around 6 months now and it's been working fine. However today when I tried to open the web browser the O2 homepage doesn't load as usual, and instead I keep getting a message saying "Internet Connection: Time-Out". I have never had any problem with the internet before, my default access point is set to O2 Active as this is my carrier. The second access point is my wireless network. I just tried connecting through the wireless network and that works fine, so any ideas why I can't connect through O2 Active?I haven't changed the settings or anything like that so I'm quite confused as to why it isn't working.

E72 used to support sending via email option immediately after capturing a picture by the camera. Now when I select 'send' option after capturing the picture, I do not see any option to send via email, only see,

Via bluetooth

If I select 'Message' its MMS option. Can some one confirm if this feature was changed after the recent Fw 052.005 ? Is it a bug with the new Email 3.09?My phone has both these updates( Fw05.005 & 3.09).

I am unable to use the Hotmail ActiveSync Feature. The settings for Mail for Exchange are:
Mail: name@live.de
Username: name@live.de
Password: xxxxxxxx
Domain: [leave blank]
and then Server: m.hotmail.com
The first sync is ok. Mail for Exchange shows me my mails.
But it keeps showing the error message: "Cant sync. Please contact Administrator...". And if I try to write an E-Mail it shows me: "Can't send E-Mail".
What's wrong with the Mail for Exchange ?

Had my E7 since May but this problem has been around for most of that time. The phone can be sat there without anyone touching it when all of a sudden the light on the back (I assume the flash light) comes on of its own accord. It is very bright and I can't switch it off.I took the phone back to the store twice already and the second time the guy in the store could also see it happening but the repairers are failing to find the fault.Sometimes the light stays on and the screen lights up and then fades. Other times (like today) the light comes on and the unlock slide key on the left hand side of phone fails to work. Only unlocking the phone via screen will work.Have checked and no applications are running so not sure what is going wrong. Anyone else had any similar problems because I am baffled.

Im having a problem in my E63, while the phone is in standby mode there should be Notification Light blinking after every 6 or 7 seconds but i cannot see that, but yeah if i recive a miss call, a text or a e-mail it shows me the notification.

My e5 has strange problem with the light sensor. If the 'Light sensor' slider in the settings is set to the minimum or one position above the minimum and I put the phone under bright light (for example outdoors in sunny days), the display goes completely off. If I cover the light sensor with something or put the phone in lower light, it turns on again. I think it's software problem, but not sure. Does anybody else have similar problem or my e5 has some fault?

My E7 ambient light sensor glows faint red when I try to connect a fring voice call (and the phone stops responding) or when certain apps (pocket lock) for instance is running. is there any issue with my phone? will the "Glow" burn my proximity sensor? is this an indication of any problem with the application. I only istall applications downloaded from OVI store.

i have updated my nokia E75 to the latest software version 202.12.01
but it keeps restarting randomally,, so it can be a 5minutes period or even working for 3 hours but at the end it keeps restarting for no reason..
i even tried to send it it to the repair shop, and all they can do is changing the cover ($40)

On firmware v22.014. The Keyboard light doesn't work on power saver mode (or low brightness settings). I tried to use 'Brightness Control' app.. It doesn't work to my satisfaction. But its better than nothing.
