Since doing the Anna update the Social app isn't working and neither is communities. Took it to an o2 guru and he had no idea how to help found out, MYSELF that nokia isn't usig the social app anymore and have started using a new social app which I can't download from the ovi store as it not compatible with my C6-01. So I can't use my old social and the new one doesn't work on my phone.

just finished updating my c7 to symbian anna, i have succesfully installed the 2-part updates, and also other new updates like ovi, my problem is the photos menu....when i open the photos menu, the usual you should see there are all the pics taken from phone, pics taken from bluetooth or from the pc, videos taken from phone, and vids taken from bluetooth and pc....
all are allright except for this, my problem is i cant view pics that are taken from bluetooth or the pc...i can view the other pics, and the vids but not the photos from the pc. i can view them using an alternate way, but i have to go to the file manager and locate them..this wasnt the way it should be and will give me a harder time, i want the normal way... what i want is to view them instantly at the photos menu..
I updated my Astound 2 or 3 weeks back, ran fine until 3 or 4 days ago. If I am on a call, another call coming in will lock the phone up. It ends up killing both calls. 2 or 3 times the phone ends up restarting and I have to wait for it to finish. the screen goes dark, the notification light and red and green lights are lit, but none of the 3 buttons will work. I did the update thru nokia on the software update notification, not thru t-mobile. Is it possible this could cause a conflict of the device on the t-mobile network? Is it possible to roll back the update to the original software the phone started with?

Now after update, the button only work when camera app is running. So every time I want to take a picture, I have to open menu, etc... And that's all, its the only bug I detect after Anna update.

Once downloaded, the install starts. It gets to a point with a green bar and says : "This could take a few minutes" then it just closes. When I go to the OVI icon in the menu, it does the same thing again: Opens the browser and goes to the page for download..

I can use the web, connect to store, asks me if I want the 3G or WiFi connection, but only social refuses to connect. I have removed and re-installed Social. Always the same, Network is not available. Social works fine on my N8 with the same settings
I did the Anna update on my Astound, From information gathered on some forums, it did not install right. It has issues that it did not have before. Since Belle looks to be released in February, I am guessing that a phone not working correctly after Anna, probably should not take a chance on Belle?, In other words, An Anna update did not install correctly, there is no option to reinstall. That would make it very probable that Belle would not be able to correct that? or install itself properly? Doesn't a later update require a previous update to install correctly? I have been told that only Nokia can reflash my phone back to original, I live in the US, it looks like that would be unable to accomplish. I would have to buy another phone just to have this one shipped off.

I have updated my Nokia C7-00 with live update but suddenly after 2 days it stopped working and is dead. Even power supply button is also not working. I have given cellphone to authorized service center but they were not able to resolve the problem and return handset. where i can get my device working as i Nokia care has taken there hand off.

View 10 Replies View Relatedi had a C7, working great till i updated it with symbian belle.okay here is what i did.-my GPS was working on symbian anna with maps version 3.06beta-i updated the phone to symbian belle from symbian anna.-installed nokia maps 3.06 beta, and replaced the one that came with the update because it had the option of route planning which the installed map did not.-this was the first time i checked to see if the GPS was working after the update, and it did not work even after i stood in an open field for half an hour.-i learned that the latest update of nokia maps in fact had route planning, so i used the nokia PC suite to reset the phone software, and then later updated everything that was listed in the software update app.-my GPS could still not work after i stood in the same damn field for another half an hour.-now it will just give approximate positions based on the wireless networks, and not give any accurate position, so i cant use it for navigation anymore.-i tried running the gpsinfoqt app, and it keeps saying searching for a signal, but it never finds one!
