Just upgraded my wifes phone to Belle, everything works fine with the exception that Social 1.5 refuses to connect. I have restored default settings, but still wont connect.
I can use the web, connect to store, asks me if I want the 3G or WiFi connection, but only social refuses to connect. I have removed and re-installed Social. Always the same, Network is not available. Social works fine on my N8 with the same settings
After updating my Nokia C7 to belle I have noticed that the Social app fails at connecting to the internet, be it wifi or 3g. As soon as it starts it says: Network is unavailable. please try again later. I'm in the UK on 3 network.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just received my 808 replaced by Nokia for the 3G bug issue. Now I have been noticing that annoying Connection Failed connection unavailable message every few seconds. Turned the positioning methods OFF and the frequency of the error message goes away but it still pops up every few minutes. I did a hard reset, removed the memory card where most of my apps are installed and it still gives me that same error. Ordered a new SIM to see if that makes any difference - none - Still same error message. That message is so annoying. Anyone have any other ideas that I could try ? Privacy mode is OFF also.

I acquired an unlocked T-Mobile blackberry 9700 late last year and had our IT admin guy in NY adding new user license to the blackberry server and then the besadmin had generated activation password for me. I'm using local mobile phone network in Vietnam (Vinaphone) and had installed its service book into my BB. Nevertheless, after having put in my email address and keyed in the activation password, after pressing activate for about 2 minutes of "Acquiring service connection..." my BB keeps on telling me that "Activation request failed. A service connection is unavailable" although the communication receptions signals from my local mobile carrier is strong and I can browse internet and accessing gmail or yahoo mail using my BB (which mean internet connection is available).
View 4 Replies View RelatedFrom today afternoon I haven't been receiving emails, I can't use BBM or connect to the internet. Twitter and other apps say there is no network connection. When I try to set up email settings it says that my connection to the mobile network is on, but I am not in a wireless coverage area. I am in my house, and I've never had any problems with wireless coverage until today, so I am not sure what happened. I have already reset the phone several times by removing the battery.

Took it to an o2 guru and he had no idea how to help found out, MYSELF that nokia isn't usig the social app anymore and have started using a new social app which I can't download from the ovi store as it not compatible with my C6-01. So I can't use my old social and the new one doesn't work on my phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had scheduled a software update last night, scheduled for 2300 UK time. When I woke, I found my phone was off and the charger had come out of my phone. When turning my phone on again, it immediately started backing up software, which was fine until it began updating social feeds. Due to the fact it had not been charging all night, it was not connected to a network meaning it is currently showing 'Social Feeds 0%'. Sadly, I cannot leave this screen and so it has been trying to back up social feeds without connection for the last 6 hours.

Do I have to look at the update icon for the lifetime of the phone? When installing the Microsoft package, there was privacy agreement, which I declined, but that did not cancel the agreement either.

If that's true, that's too bad... is there no one doing quality control on software releases at Nokia?In all cases... View 9 Replies View RelatedBold 9700 - OS6 build 557 - EDGE network - BIS i am able to browse, but my twitter, facebook and other applications refuse to connect. Twitter constantly gives me either of these 2 error message " Twitter services are unavailable" or "Location connection time out after ~ 120000". Facebook says " not able to reach facebook servers at this time ". My emails, gtalk & yahoo work just right. Browsing is slow, but it works. i've been facing this problem for over 4 weeks, spoke with BB support team, ISP and even RIM Canada. Have done everything possible:
- Downgraded from OS6 to OS5 after wiping device via BBSAK
- deleted Twitter app and re-installed
- deleted service books
- chose connection only as 2G
- deleted IPP entry
- updated APN entry
- checked firewall
- replaced SIM card
- wiped off my entry from ISP servers and refreshed profile
- deactivated & activated BIS services
Now this issue is specifically where i work, so my guess is its the problem with the ISP tower. At home, i get these errors as well, but i get connected about 60% of the time. While travelling inter-city two weeks back, in middle of this problem, i got 100% connectivity with no drop outs and no such error messages. My ISP - Vodafone says they've done everything and nothing else is left to be done, they're poitning fingers at my device now. My device worked fine since suddenly this problem started.
I use my C3-01 as a modem on my laptop. Since i updated the firmware to 7.15 the connection doesn't stay for more than 2-3 hrs. It disconnects automatically. Sometimes even after a min. Earlier i was able to connect for even 16 hrs at a stretch.

I think that the problem is with phone, because when I paired devices all things work well, but when I turn off the car (Parrot is switched off) and go away, other phones that I previously used disabled connection and can be used normally. But with this phone I see that for the phone connection still present (?!?) The car symbol on display still shown, and when I try to use the phone, I can make call, other people say that they receive calling , but I can't hear them, and they can't hear me. When I manually disconnect Bluetooth device, phone work normally, but when I am in the car again, two devices doesn't initiate pairing, and again I have to do this manually.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've lost all Internet capabilities on my C7; it happened two weeks ago when I went to the middle of nowhere and had no reception whatsoever, upon returning to civilisation the normal phone reception returned fine but the Internet and email will not work at all - it won't pick up previously recognised wi-fi networks and won't connect through my WAP either.
It has happened before but always came back within a day or so, but as said this has now lasted two weeks and absolutely nothing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've a Nokia C3-00 and Sitecom WL-174 Wireless Network ADSL 2+ Modem Router 54g TURBO.
The WiFi/Modem router is working fine with PC but not with my C3-00. I'm sure there is no issue of access protection mechanism ( I switched Off psswd and MAC filter to be sure). My C3-00 see the router and initiate the protocol to get IP address from the router but it fails : "connesione WLAN non riuscita"
I'm quite sure the issue is in a sort of not compatibility between the router DHCP and the mobile because I experienced same issue with Nokia E51 on which I sorted out assigning statip IP address to it.
The issue with Nokia C3-00 is that there is no way to assign static IP Address from menu. I tried to contact Nokia support but no answer . even at the Nokia service in my town (Catania) they don't know how to do it .
is there any way to check my email on a C3-01 only using wifi connection? ( I never connect to internet by network due to crazy costs!) When I try to check I get a message saying "communication error, please try later" I know there is no communication problem 'cos I can go to web pages etc ( while on WiFi)

View 5 Replies View RelatedYesterday the software update Nokia Belle for C7 was approved for my region. I installed it instantly by following the instructions. After the update my device worked well, but I noticed some things that may point to a software problem on the device. I decided to reinstall it. I followed the instructions, the Nokia Suite checked and found the installation file on my PC and the reinstallation began normally. A backup was made of my contacts and other stuff, then the installation began.
Not long after that the Suit says that the connection to my device is lost (not a windows warning). It suggested several things to do to continue, but it couldn't. Currently my C7 is not working. I tried to remove and put back the battery & recharge it but still can't start the phone. When I plug it to my PC via USB, I hear the windows sound for USB device connected and disconnected after that. The only living sign of my device is the little white light, next to the USB port, which is blinking when I plug the charger and try turn the phone On.
I have problem with nokia c5-03. My cell start automatic wifi searching, while i have disabled all posible option to search wifi automatically like (Show WLAN availibility = Never, Internet Connectivity test= Never Run). Beside these setting, i also delete all wifi Network destinitions. but still i found after every 2- 5 mins device prompts for available wifi connection. I dont was such prompt.

Whenever I am trying to connect to WLAN, it got connected but the moment I start browsing, it displays message 'Connection Failed - Access Denied'. Sometimes, it shows 'Invalid Server'. I am really not sure why it is happening as 3G is working fine in my phone.
