Recently I bought a new blackberry torch 9860 and I face a serious problem. All social apps like facebook, viber, watsup, and App world losing wireless connection while device is connected to wireless network and just internet browser is working and has connection. When iIpull out the battery and but it again these apps work for while then losing connection again.
View 2 RepliesI restored my files from my 9800 to 9860 each time I turn of the phone majority of the sms messages just disappear, leaving just a few like 11 out of 2000 but when I use my torch 9800 the messages are always there. Is anyone having same problems. I have to do a restore from my backed up file to get my sms messages back.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just bough the Torch 9860 and already replaced another one for the same problem, and since this second have the same problem, I think it is a general problem. Well the thing is that while the phone is in 3G coverage, it sometimes goes to like a "blocked" state. By this, I mean that the phone states as connected to the network and with full signal, but call wouldn't go out nor in, data is also not available, and the most important thing is that the phone doesn't show any signs of disconnection nor anything problem alike. Up until now, I have only seen this happening while in 3G coverage, and when this problem occurs, I switch the phone to 2G only and starts working fine again.

I can use the web, connect to store, asks me if I want the 3G or WiFi connection, but only social refuses to connect. I have removed and re-installed Social. Always the same, Network is not available. Social works fine on my N8 with the same settings
My wife and I both have Atrix 4G phones. I frequently get a Popup window when I unplug the charger reminding me to unplug the charger. This happens both with my 12V to USB adapter plugged into my motorcycle and with the home charger from Motorola. Also, I lose the settings for my home wireless and have to re-enter everything. I've gotten notifications that I'm using up my data plan because I lose my wireless and emails then start downloading over the cell network without my knowing it. I'm about ready to get rid of the so called smart phone and go back to my basic cell phone.

When turning my phone on again, it immediately started backing up software, which was fine until it began updating social feeds. Due to the fact it had not been charging all night, it was not connected to a network meaning it is currently showing 'Social Feeds 0%'. Sadly, I cannot leave this screen and so it has been trying to back up social feeds without connection for the last 6 hours.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI use software like Connectify and Virtual Router to make my laptop a wifi hotspot. It used to work fine with my phone, but recently it stopped. I am able to successfully connect, but after a few seconds or minutes it disconnects and tries to authenticate again and gets an authentication error. Then I have to restart my phone's wifi to work again. I can browse the web and do everything normally, but it somehow disconnects after few seconds. I haven't used this in a while so I don't remember if I had upgraded the phone to android 4 last time I used this. I've read something about making my phone have a static IP, but there isn't such option.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to re-install the firmware (v40.0.005) on my 5800 xm using ovi suite 2.1.1.1. but i keep getting the message 'INTERNAL your device could not be detected'.I have uninstalled pc and cable connectivity, along with ovi suite several times and then re-installed them but to no avail. I have also tried to re-install the firmware with and without the memory card but to the same end. Is this a problem with ovi suite, my device or my computer?
View 10 Replies View RelatedSo I bought myself a 950 last Thursday and from the beginning I've noticed some problems with the WiFi connectivity. Turning it off and leaving it on 4G would cure all the problems described below.
At first I thought it may have been due to the vast amount of updating apps but after all of that was done (struggled with various errors there too, though).
Now here is what's been happening ever since. When I pick up the phone to do some browsing, it's usually fine at first, but a minute later it would seem that the phone loses the WiFi connection. Edge would say this: [URL] ....
Windows Central app says this every time I open it (even though the newest articles are loaded): [URL] ....
The Store is the worst. It says it's "Acquiring License" for a minute and only then it starts downloading the app which stops usually right away or half way through. Only on rare occasions does it fully download the app. [URL] ....
By the way, I am on Build 10586.29 (not part of the Insider program).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my Iphone 5 for around 16 months and the internet connection; whether it be by WIFI or 3G has always worked perfectly; until now.I know it can't be my router at home, as I have the same problem if I'm at work and it also affects the 3G.
My phone will have full WIFI signal but will stop connecting to any websites or give me internet access. If I turn the phone OFF and then ON again, it fixes the problem for around 15mins or so, and then revert back to the same problem of not connecting.I have tried resetting the network settings and reset to factory settings, but neither do any good.

My iPhone 6 is about three weeks old and it keeps losing its data signal. I'm on AT&T and have good coverage throughout my area (never an issue with my 4s). The result is that when I'm off of wifi I periodically can't use Siri/internet/visual voicemail. It comes back if I completely restart my phone. This started happening a few days ago sporadically but I'm losing the data connection multiple times a day now.What's going on?

Does anyone have a weird issue of data dropping completely during the call? When I place a call the 3g icon disappears completely and nothing that requires data works until I hung up. Once I hang up the 3g service is restored pretty much instantly. Also the top of the phone where earpiece is gets very hot during the call. I called apple and they told me to come to the store and get a replacement. I just wanted to confirm if this problem is widespread as I will be getting the replacement from the same store. I guess it might be relevant - I am using a bumper case.
My girlfriend's phone (bought through vodafone rather than apple store) doesn't have this issue.
On another issue (or non-issue) I also noticed that my front camera is a lot less saturated that hers for some reason. When I place a facetime call and hold both phones together, the colors are very different . Hers is slightly over saturated and mine doesn't have any vibrancy to colors at all. Not sure what to make of it but there might be different sensors on iPhones (I remember reading somewhere that there is not enough production of 5mp sensors at any single factory)

Is anyone else having a problem with their Lumia 822 losing it's data connection? My phone loses it's data connection at least once a day. The only way I have found to get it back, is to turn the phone off and back on, which is a pain. It seems to happen a lot at night, but has happened a couple of times during the day. It can be hours before I notice that nothing is coming in or updating.

We have been trying for 3 days to restore her iphone 4S through itunes 10.6 (Windows). However, the download always times out and we lose DSL connection for a minute or so. I have also tried to d/l 5.0.1 and 5.0 from websites offering direct links to appldnld.apple.com and the same thing happens everytime. Usually at about 9%. I lose internet my ADLS2+ connection every single time I try to download any apple software through itunes or via direct links through multiple browsers.

I have a Microcell in my office. The 3G and EDGE signal is -100 or worse, so there's no conflict there. The wifi signal in my office is low, ~-80db, and often disconnects/reconnects. Every once in a while my Atrix (stock gingerbread) loses the microcell connection completely and continues to have no network connection. The wifi connection stays connected though. I have to enable and then disable airplane mode to get the connection back up.
View 10 Replies View RelatedSo after upgrading OTA to 2.3.6 and performing a factory reset on my Atrix 4G, I've noticed that stock google talk app loses connection with the server after a few minutes while the phone is asleep. As soon as I wake up the phone, The network status icon is gray and within 30 seconds or so, the phone reconnects with the google servers and the icon turns blue again.
I've never had this issue before while on 2.2 and 2.3.4. I've made sure the app is always open and background data is enabled. Also my battery mode is set to performance mode so it should sync all day.
Over the past week, or so, I have been experiencing intermittent losses of data and phone service. This issue has been magnified over the past few days. Initially, I thought it was a result of an early season snowstorm, that more or less, crippled my state (Connecticut), and since I am a power utility engineer, as you can imagine, I have been on the phone quite a bit. As we moved closer to full electric restoration, I am seeing that this isn't an issue brought on by inclement weather, but by a software/hardware glitch.
