I have just upgraded my phone to Anna via 3G OTA successfully.It works normally after upgrading.But there're somthing wrong with Log, it doesn't show packet data and WLAN connection in detail session by session like Symbian ^3, it only show SMS and call log.

Last week, we upgraded my Nokia N8 to Symbian Anna.Now, I experienced one large and one smaller problem:1. Large problem: When connecting the phone (via USB cable) to my notebook (Suse Linux 11.2), it is no longer recognized as a mass storage drive (USB stick), but only the camera is recognized (pptp protocol), i.e., the notebook asks, if I want to copy the photos, but does not find access to all other files. (Before upgrading, this problem did not exist!)
2. Smaller problem: When taking photos, one can add a description (under "details").This works, but not as good as before: the number of characters for the description is drastically reduced. and what is worse: all older descriptions have been truncated and are hardly of any use any more.
After Anna upgrade, the operation of my phone (N8) run slower generally. I am not sure I can specify few, for example, openning Photos, taking picture, working with worksheet, etc.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've now been told by Nokia support chat, that I was supposed to 'monitor' the download, and later the installation of upgrades, when I called and explained that my phone is DEAD AS A DOORNAIL, stuck on the Nokia screen, no life, no hard reset, nothing helps. She failed to explain to me how exactly is it that one 'monitors' a download. Watch the bar? Anyway, stay away from the upgrade the system keeps telling you to do. I've had my $500 phone for 13 months and I'm told I have to pay to have it repaired, cause I'm out of warranty. BTW, if any of you have a suggestion, I'm all ears!

I do not want to login to OVI as I feel that I do not have any control over the data usage of it. I am frequent traveler and I guess that OVI is not going to pay for the internet while I am roaming. I need to get entirely rid of this OVI login screen. Anyone who can explain how I can remove the OVI login from my phone ? Pressing the Later button is not an option.

View 19 Replies View RelatedSo I eagerly upgraded from Anna to Belle on my N8. Here is a list of missing features;
1) widget offline setting
2) automatic wifi enable when launching the browser, store or other internet app
3) bluetooth beep no longer present after turning off bluetooth
4) turning wifi on doesn't automatically pair with defined access point
5) task manager or open applications feature
6) automatic screen blanking while placing or receiving a call
7) wife connection drops but wifi radio stays on
8) touching battery icon indicates remaining power (same for other icons)
Another nit, apps that were previously downloaded when they were free, can no longer be downloaded without paying. Why does the upgrade remove your apps anyway?
I have tried several times to download and install teh Nokia Mobile VPN from the Nokia (OVI) store but the installation always fail. I have an N8 running Anna. I'm not sure where to start with getting this to work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my N8 to Anna. Could not do the 1/2, everything else worked fine. Finally got the 1/2 to work, ever since had nothing but problems. Whenever I start the phone I get 3 or 4 system error messages. After hitting ok, I can access most of my phone. I cannot access my contacts from the home screen. I can only go into the call screen, which does not allow me to add a new contact or edit. I have tried both the hard and soft reboots and tried to re-install but it has only gotten worse. I kinda need to access my contacts for work.

I did the Anna update on my Astound, From information gathered on some forums, it did not install right. It has issues that it did not have before. Since Belle looks to be released in February, I am guessing that a phone not working correctly after Anna, probably should not take a chance on Belle?, In other words, An Anna update did not install correctly, there is no option to reinstall. That would make it very probable that Belle would not be able to correct that? or install itself properly? Doesn't a later update require a previous update to install correctly? I have been told that only Nokia can reflash my phone back to original, I live in the US, it looks like that would be unable to accomplish. I would have to buy another phone just to have this one shipped off.
View 2 Replies View Relatedjust finished updating my c7 to symbian anna, i have succesfully installed the 2-part updates, and also other new updates like ovi, my problem is the photos menu....when i open the photos menu, the usual you should see there are all the pics taken from phone, pics taken from bluetooth or from the pc, videos taken from phone, and vids taken from bluetooth and pc....
all are allright except for this, my problem is i cant view pics that are taken from bluetooth or the pc...i can view the other pics, and the vids but not the photos from the pc. i can view them using an alternate way, but i have to go to the file manager and locate them..this wasnt the way it should be and will give me a harder time, i want the normal way... what i want is to view them instantly at the photos menu..
Sometimes a little circle will appear in the upper right corner of the Applications icon on my C6-01, and go away a short while later. What does this indicate? At first I thought an application was starting up, but when I hold down the menu key, it shows no open applications.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated my Astound 2 or 3 weeks back, ran fine until 3 or 4 days ago. If I am on a call, another call coming in will lock the phone up. It ends up killing both calls. 2 or 3 times the phone ends up restarting and I have to wait for it to finish. the screen goes dark, the notification light and red and green lights are lit, but none of the 3 buttons will work. I did the update thru nokia on the software update notification, not thru t-mobile. Is it possible this could cause a conflict of the device on the t-mobile network? Is it possible to roll back the update to the original software the phone started with?

Took it to an o2 guru and he had no idea how to help found out, MYSELF that nokia isn't usig the social app anymore and have started using a new social app which I can't download from the ovi store as it not compatible with my C6-01. So I can't use my old social and the new one doesn't work on my phone.

Now after update, the button only work when camera app is running. So every time I want to take a picture, I have to open menu, etc... And that's all, its the only bug I detect after Anna update.
