Motorola Droid Razr :: Vibrate When Typing On Keypad?
Sep 24, 2012Just bought a new Razr Maxx. Running Android version 4.0.4. I'd like to be able to turn off the vibrate when I am typing on the keypad. I have gone to the System Settings/Sound and the "Vibrate on touch" is unchecked. Is this the correct way to disable vibration when I type on the keypad? Or is this something that cannot be controlled?

Aug 5, 2011Im using Nokia E6 from past 2-3 weeks. One of the most annoying features i found so far is that phone's keypad light doesn't turn on when you want to type the passcode for unlocking the phone. Even if you manage to unlock & want to type an SMS or a browser URL, still the keypad light is OFF. This makes it really annoying & next to impossible to type proper keys in darkness.When you leave the phone without touching any keys till its screen goes little dimmer, then when you press any navigation keys, then the keypad light actually turns on!

Jul 16, 2011my nokia c3 keypad is not working, i may have got it wet, i don't know, but itll turn on, and if i've taken the battery out, itll let me set the date and time, but once i get passed that stage, itll just stay on the homescreen and buzzes when calls and txts come through but the keypad freezes. it'll let me also turn it off but other than that nothing. I dont know what to do? it seems weird the keypad will work for turning it on/off and numbers(date and time) until i get to the home screen..

Jan 10, 2011Recently my 5month old C5 keypad metal panel that cover menu (contact, menu, dial and poweroff) is loose out and surprisingly this metal pad only stick on by sticker, I try to bring it to the nokia service center but they said keypad is not cover by warranty, but how could such a careless design of a critical component in this case is a keypad that will be subject to presure of finger, is only design to stick only by double tape, in my whole life using Nokia and other brand never found such a careless design on keypad, allthough it look nice it should not be in separate piece and only stick by double tape??! and worse it Nokia service center do not want to be responsible for this careless design by this UI engineer?? I hope in the future Nokia RnD should really taking seriously on the design not only look nice and pack with feature but should really taking care small thing but critical such as this metal pad, any cellphone pad should come in one piece or at least not just a plain metal stick on the button by double tape, it should be robust.

The last two months it seems from my accounts that I have used more than 400 MB internet using blackberry net. The impressive think is that it hasn't changed anything in the way I use me phone and the extra applications installed in me phone are whatsapp and facebook (these application were installed and used by me long before these last two months). How can you explain all that charges? Is something wrong with blackberry net or it has to do with me network provider?For example it seems in my account that in a specific day 14.06.2012 at 14:55:15 i used 115061 KB through Blackberry net and some seconds later at 14:55:22 I used 9 KB through internet from my provider?

May 19, 2012since my iphone 4S have updated to 5.1.1, I now experience excessive battery consumption like 5% down in 1h (sleep mode). I have 2x iphone 4S and they have same behaviour. Never had that before with same hardware what could cause that ?If I go in flight mode (no 3G), the consumption is back to normal (low)

Sep 25, 2013Notice that the 1020 seem to have excessive distortion starting about 2/3 from the center? I am using my 1020 as a point and shoot replacement and it is great for anything but people. I think the live view we see on the screen when camera is on (regardless what app Pro Cam/ProShot/WP default) already has some extreme barrel correction applied to it. If my subject is about 2/3 from the center their faces start to stretch and distort like they have been pulled towards the edge of the view finder. Single person is fine but when you get 3 people in a shot, the center person would be fine but the left and right will have stretched faces. Coming from a 920, I find the distortion to be worse than the 920.
In some extreme cases of building shots, instead of having straight lines or slight rounding lines, the lines actually cave in. The only thing I can think of is to "undo" the correction in lightroom, but I don't see a lens profile for the 1020 yet.
Google Nexus 6 :: Excessive Battery Drain?
Mar 17, 2015is there an app that can read though all of the apps currently installed on the phone that can search for one that maybe causing battery drain? My battery seems to have gone sour lately and I don't know why. Esp today, I unplugged from my charge at 2pm and have done anything major with the device and I'm already below 50% in under 5 hours. I've spent 80% of my time on WiFi at my house. That to me seems unacceptable.
The two gaps there are I had to restart my phone for something and the second time was to clear cache partition. Currently running 5.1. Gonna do a reset to see if that fixes anything, I'd it doesn't I'm gonna try to get moto to replace and replace with a white device haha.

May 1, 2012I have just upgraded from a Nokia N8 to an S2 and have been alarmed at how much data I am using compared to my previous phone. My email application used 373mb of data in two days just synching two Hotmail accounts, and I don't get many emails! My Nokia was set to use push email every 15 minutes and hardly used any of my 1Gb allowance on Virgin mobile UK. I have had to set my S2 to never synch and do it manually instead, which is rather annoying upgrading to a phone which can't do what my older one did perfectly, I am using the S2 's own data usage tool to monitor my usage,I assume it is accurate?

May 19, 2011If you battery meter is showing that the Android OS is using large amounts of battery (mine was 43%) then all you have to do to fix it is connect the xperia play to a computer but instead of safely removing from the computer, you must pull the bar down from the top of the phone screen and press disconnect, then unplug the phone and the OS then returns to normal battery usage.

Mar 3, 2012Over the past two weeks, I have observed that my MOTOACTV has twice entered a Failure Mode in which current drawn from the battery in Standby if far higher than spec and even higher than playing music through wired headsets only. The cause is unknown, but may be related to another MOTOACTV Failure Mode - music player freak out. In the first instance, I left the unit in Standby at 70% charge and found 14 hours later that it had turned itself off - battery depleted. I powered it up, charged it and was surprised during my run to find that my SF200 wired headset line switch was functional again - the music player had not responded to the SF200 line switch for several days.
In the second instance, late on Tuesday night Feb 28, I noticed that the state-of-charge of my battery was sliding rapidly and placed it on the charger. After my morning run the next day, I charged it fully and monitored the battery. The result is charted in the image below. According to published specifications, the MOTOACTV should last 325 hours on one full charge. I have conducted extensive battery tests on my unit and have never been able to achieve a Standby discharge rate much better than 0.71%/hr or 140 hours full discharge equivalent. The Standby battery life spec should be revised. As published, it is misleading at best. In Failure Mode - Excessive Battery Drain in Standby, I measured a Standby discharge rate of 6.73%/hr or just under 15 hours of battery life in Standby on a full charge.
I do not know why my unit enters this Failure Mode. But I know I am not alone. AlmariaTeach is probably replacing his unit right now to remedy what looks like the same issue. But his device could not be cured by rebooting or factory reset, so it may have been a more advanced case. In both instances, a power-off reboot restored 'normal' Standby power use behavior and revived a non-functioning music player line switch to perfect working order.
