One Day I by Mistake left my blackberry uncharged and the next day I found that when I was starting up my blackberry by taking the battery out the red led light was coming ang then going. then I plugged it into the charger the a white screen is coming with a image of battery bein charged. I kept it on for a night but nothing happened so I connected it to my Pc. But the Desktop manager shows message " BDM cant connect to device... CLick Retry if battery is dead or booting." Device Is not working.
Blackberry Bold erratically stops calls, showing the dreaded "authorization failure" message. Then need to turn off and turn on device. Usually works, but without any apparent pattern, problem returns. Driving me crazy.
Last night i was sending a text for sumone and i realized that my 2E button wasnt working..My A button was doin it but it stoped n worked properly now.
I'm using a Nokia E71, when i try to use the Maps GPS and video calling on 3G,within 30 second the battery low will appear and shut down the phone even it is fully charge. I can only use it while on charging. It's not a new unit but i wish to know if it's the battery problem or the hardware problem?
Over the past two weeks, I have observed that my MOTOACTV has twice entered a Failure Mode in which current drawn from the battery in Standby if far higher than spec and even higher than playing music through wired headsets only. The cause is unknown, but may be related to another MOTOACTV Failure Mode - music player freak out. In the first instance, I left the unit in Standby at 70% charge and found 14 hours later that it had turned itself off - battery depleted. I powered it up, charged it and was surprised during my run to find that my SF200 wired headset line switch was functional again - the music player had not responded to the SF200 line switch for several days.
In the second instance, late on Tuesday night Feb 28, I noticed that the state-of-charge of my battery was sliding rapidly and placed it on the charger. After my morning run the next day, I charged it fully and monitored the battery. The result is charted in the image below. According to published specifications, the MOTOACTV should last 325 hours on one full charge. I have conducted extensive battery tests on my unit and have never been able to achieve a Standby discharge rate much better than 0.71%/hr or 140 hours full discharge equivalent. The Standby battery life spec should be revised. As published, it is misleading at best. In Failure Mode - Excessive Battery Drain in Standby, I measured a Standby discharge rate of 6.73%/hr or just under 15 hours of battery life in Standby on a full charge.
I do not know why my unit enters this Failure Mode. But I know I am not alone. AlmariaTeach is probably replacing his unit right now to remedy what looks like the same issue. But his device could not be cured by rebooting or factory reset, so it may have been a more advanced case. In both instances, a power-off reboot restored 'normal' Standby power use behavior and revived a non-functioning music player line switch to perfect working order.
I have tried to install some applications (e.g. Blackberry App World) but get the 910 Application Authorisation Failure error. If I were using my Blackberry in a company using a BES then the knowledge base suggests that there is an IT Policy in place preventing the application from being installed. However, I am with O2, synching to the likes of Google and BT Yahoo, using a BIS. Just in case there is a policy, I have viewed it in Options > Security > Security Status Information and it says:
I have a Bold 9000 and have 2 problems- 1. I got an error message stating the the media card failed Fatal error. Today the standard blackberry ring tone stopped working (the vibration still works). I am able to receive emails, phone calls and I can make calls. My contacts remain in the phone.
I lost my camera! When I try to start the camera I get an error message saying " cannot start the camera. close other applications and try again" Blackberry Bold 9900 OS 7.1 I've tried closing all apps. I wish Blackberry put more operational memory in their devices!
I have an unlocked Blackberry Bold 9000 that was used for AT&T and now I'm using it for T-Mobile. Anyway verything has been working great so far or at least up until the last time that RIM went down globally. After that I can receive my email updates but I can't connect to Blackberry, even though I'm registered.
I have even called T-Mobile who put a specialist on the line and they couldn't help me. They said that I had to call RIM. Anyhow, I thought that I would try and upgrade my version which is: 4.6.0.167. No luck there even that gives me an error message. When I go to my BlackBerry App World it says loading and then after a while - Failure to transmit. Same thing for my upgrade request - Failed to transmit.
I just got my BB9700 yesterday. I wanted to set up my email account and encountered the following problem:There is no option to "I want to create an email account" in the set-up wizard. In the email setup wizard, I only have the option to "I want to use a work email account with a BB Enterprise Server", and it does not work for my email accounts.
My Blackberry Bold 9900 keeps giving me "call failed" and ''authorization failure" messages when trying to make outgoing calls.Only if I reboot the phone, the call goes through. My network provider already replaced the first bold 9900 with the same problem but now that it is happening to the new phone, I think something else is causing the problem.
Yeah i know there's a guide to unflag the setting ''disallow etc etc''. from the enterprise server managment. My issue is that i don't have a Enterprise server!
I just bought a blackberry bold 9700 second hand, had a couple of problems with connections but now fixed them all (EVERYTHING works fine, facebook connects, twitter aswell and my email works fine). I just have this ''910- authorization failure '' problem for EACH single application that i try to download either via the browser either from the App World. The only things i have installed got installed within the update and therefore not manually.
I've bought the bold 9780 on last 2 month.. Lately I was failed to unlocked the phone once I take out from the case provided by blackberry. I cannot pick up the calls and sometime can't read the msg received. I need to do power reset by take out the battery for 10 second.. And reboot.. Its will back to normal.. But.. The problem is still persist when I take out it from it case. It happend again and again.. Is it software or hardware problem?
First off, I have to say that this "support" forum is a very weird way of providing quick support to customers.
Anyway, I'm trying to sync my BB to my PC and I'm getting a "Connector Specific Error".When I look at the sync log, I get "Read-only database cannot be synchronized". I haven't changed any settings, and all of a sudden I get this error msg.
I am currently roaming so away from the office where I might get a solution.....however yesterday my battery ran down and when I charged it, instead of the usual charging lights I got a white screen with a small spinning clock that disappeared leaving just a blank white screen. I let it 'charge' overnight but with no change. I have tried removing and reinserting the battery after a couple of minutes but this has not solved the problem. The screen remains white - if I unplug and reinsert the charger the red charging light comes on briefly then goes off with a return to the white blank screen. Is there anything I can do while away?
I switched on my phone as normal yesterday and got the following message: 'Built-in Media Storage not accessible due to detected errors. Do you wish to repair it now? Yes or No.When I click yes, the message is 'Select the storage you want to repair' and the options are Built-in media or cancel. When clicking on built in media, the next message is 'Built in media repair failed'.I've lost all my photo's and music and when i connect to my pc to re-add them, the same message appears on the phone and nothing has sync'd at all.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9700 with O2, when I try to conect to the nternet i'm geting this mesage 'A communication failure has occured. The server may be busy, please try again later. If the problem persists contact your service provider. Its been happening for a day now, will phone O2 but was wondering if theres anything else i could try first?
My problem is somewhat simple but I can't figure out how to solve it.From the Desktop Manager, I upgraded my blackberry 9780 to the OS Version 6.0 with the usual procedure.cAfter all that, my emails sync didn't actually synched. Since then, each time I try to start the Emails Setup Initialization, it ask me to activate my email accounts. You check the ones who want and it asks you to Verify the email by entering your password what I gladly did multiple times. When I press Verify it simply crash and say it's unable to Verify.Well, I tried to roll back before my upgrade. The rollback worked but didn't solved my problem.
I get a "General Failure" message when trying to send emails. This occurrs randomly and I have full internet and mobile coverage. Sometimes they send eventually and other times they never do.
after having experienced twice the problem about the Media Card error upon a reboot and after having read hundreds of posts only about how to fix the problem, I tryed to think about what are the causes of this upsetting behaviour.Giving that the SD Card should be error free proven, these are my considerations:
1) When the phone shutdowns unexpectedly (e.g. battery drain or battery pull upon a freeze) Media Card is not safely unmounted, so if there were media files open by applications, the reboot finds them corrupted. NOTE that it couldn't be the very first reboot after a battery drain; maybe the files get corrupted only afer having accessed once again;
2) If using a SD Card of a Class higher than 2 (as far as I remember, the speed of the reader on the phone), it could happen that some transaction between the phone and the card is not closed correctly because the card response is higher than the phone can manage.I'd like to end up with some ideas in order to reduce the probability of this issue, that is anyway an unquestionably bug from RIM.
When I connected the phone to the PC it came up with the do you want to upgrade which I did, but now the phone does not ring. when I go to profiles and look at the settings its all ok click a tune or ringtone and click try it it vibrates but no sound. I have tried several ways but none of them fix it, all I do is take out battery and re start and it works fine, but only a few hours. when the sound has gone again and I only know when I miss a call I restart the phone and its ok again. So far I have restarted 3 times today. Its a bold 9900
What is needed to have the Internet radio stations, provides the voice/music on the BB 9780 Bold loadspeaker? Is there a need a certain software package?
I just got my new Bold9700 and am trying to set it up and failing completely. Part of this may be because I am in Costa Rica. The primary problem is that it is connecting to a WiFi network, but not to a BlackBerry Internet Service. I have a data plan, I am linked to a network here (called I.C.E), and I am connected to a WiFi network, but it will not open due to the lack of Internet Service connection.
My phone is apparently locked, but I am using a USA SIM card, not a Costa Rican one. Do I need to unlock my phone in order to connect to the Internet Server here? As a result of this connection, I also cannot access email or set up BBM.
I was updating My Blackberry Bold 9790 software from its Blackberry 7 OS to 7.1, no once the update started it notified me that I wont be able to use the phone for two hours. It started backing up my data first, it however stopped backing up data when the power in the phone went out, and didn't continue upon me putting it on charge and has been stopped the process altogether, it has been at 10% of backing up process for two days straight.
Unfortunately my BB9900 past away. Black screen, Red light flashy and all the same symptoms in previous other posts. I have tried:
- Batt pull - Chargin with Power cable and/or USB cable and pull the batt in / out - Installing software - Resetting with BBSAK and JL CMDer
All without any result. Only thing is: When I pull the battery and connect it with my PC, after 30s/60s I see a battery (with a red cross) in the screen. I have tried now to install the software trough "c:program filescommon files esearch in motionapploaderloader.exe" /nojvm but no luck. Is it possible to connect with other software? Where can we download software to Flash the Rom and are their any ROMS available? My guess is a software failure in the ROM.
One of my colleague and I have some problem with the battery life since 4 or 5 days. After 6 or 7 hours without call or extra activity, the battery is empty. We don't know why. We have something like 8 Bold 9700 in the company and only two have this behaviour since 4 or 5 days. I have updated the system with the latest version, but no changes.
When trying to charge my Storm2, I get a red light for 15 seconds, then a blank screen for 10 seconds, then a gray screen with a battery icon in the middle with a Z on it.I tried using a different charger -- same result. The battery seems to be seated fully, contacts look good, cover is tight. I read "The battery is not charging" section of the User Guide and I still don't know what the problem is. Has anyone had this same problem? I'm using chargers plugged into a 120 volt outlet.A different Storm2 charged just fine using the same outlet.
i bought my bold 9780 yesterday. and i'm work using computer. so i think maybe i can connect my bold to my computer so the battery will always full when i go out. is that okay? i've saw someone post at another forum that i shouldn't connect my bold after battery is full...how the power works in blackberry? i own macbook. and they say i should connect the mac everytime i use it. so the life cycle of the battery won't increase. so the battery will last longer. is it the same with blackberry? (it's the opposite for another brand of notebook which they say will destroy the battery if i connect the power all the time when i use it).
