View 1 RepliesMy curve's (which is 2 months old) battery is dying after only 18 hours on standby, and it takes it forever to load anything. She just gets stuck with the little "loading" clock in the middle of the screen. That, plus the fact that I fear answering a single call will make my battery die at the rate its going. Is there anything I can do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo recently I have notice that my iphone 4's battery isn't so great. It is jailbroken but I have jailbroken since the first day the hack was released and only a couple of days ago the battery started to drain really fast.I do have winterboard and activator on my iphone.A couple of days ago my iphone would be around 97% or 96% of over night stand by. This is not right at all. Help is fully appreciated.

One of my colleague and I have some problem with the battery life since 4 or 5 days. After 6 or 7 hours without call or extra activity, the battery is empty. We don't know why. We have something like 8 Bold 9700 in the company and only two have this behaviour since 4 or 5 days. I have updated the system with the latest version, but no changes.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having a major problem with my Xeparia Ray, the battery dies even when the phone is turned off and not in use. This is on top of the very short battery life I get.I was wondering whether anyone else had suffered with the dying battery whilst turned off problem. If you have did you find a solution to it. Unless I am using the function I turn off wifi, bluetooth, gps etc.I love the Android system and the compact format of the Ray, but I am getting very close it hitting the phone with a very big hammer and switch back to Samsung.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone worked great until I downloaded some music. I'd had it for a year and not tried that so decided to download some.It played a couple of songs then the battery died. Recharged the battery reinstalled it and the phone turned on but you could watch the battery drain...just gone in seconds. Tried another battery , same thing. Put the recharged batteries in my husbands phone [same model] and they were fine. Put his battery in my phone instant drain.Did I fry my phone or is it salvagable? HELP I want to use my phone again. Is there any hope? Is there any place to get parts to repair them or a place that repairs them?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince updating to iOS 5.1.1 I have had battery problems, discharging at around 4% per hour even when not used. Turning off every concieveable service and reloaded iOS as a new device unfortunately has not solved the problem. I have resorted to leaving the phone plugged in all of the time and recently started to turn it off overnight. To my surprise, the phone continues to discharge when turned off!

I have iphone 5s and recently I upgraded it from ios 7.1.2 to ios 8.1.1. I noticed that iphone is heating when no hard processes (like programms or games) launched, and the battery discharges much faster.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow long is the battery expected to survive for 9860s? I bought this 9860 on Feb 11. Before using charged the phone completely by 11pm - The battery almost drained completely (red) by 8PM on Feb 12. This morning 13th Feb - I completely charged the phone - and 80% has already drained out by 3:15 pm - From the last full charge I have had phone calls totally lasting less than 20 minutes, WIFI is off, notifiers are off except email, and 5 small emails
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've updated no problems, but when I've had my phone attached to the USB to charge, the battery goes down instead of up, it went from 87% to 80% in about half an hour.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Storm 9500 is 18 mths old. Wasn't happy with the battery - would barely see the day out, so I bought a new one a few months ago, doesn't seem to last much longer. Current OS 5.0 I've had Meterberry on it for several months, set it to reset overnight automatically. Last weekend I installed a new theme I bought from Mobihand, Reflect7 Carbon. Average discharge rate on Sunday was a whopping 15% per hour. Put phone on charge, seemed ok on Monday. Charged Monday night and the battery completely discharged. Pulled the plug out and pulled the battery, plugged back in and it wouldn't charge at all - dead as a doornail. Put my other battery in. Used the phone to make a couple of calls during the day, also watched about an hour of a movie and still had 20% when I got home from work. Plugged in to charger last night and found it dead again this morning, battery won't charge now. That's two batteries completely dead in a couple of days! I'll have to go buy another battery today coz I don't have a phone now. Worried about killing another battery any ideas?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got a Torch 9800 from a friend and the battery life is horrible. It was bought in March 2011 and today after sending 3 texts and checking the time, maybe unlocking 3 times, the battery only has a third left. I charged it all night. Wifi is disabled, and I don't use data. Previous user had it as a work phone sending several emails and using data, pin, calling and texting, so that could be a reason why the battery life is so poor, I'm just skeptical about purchasing a new battery when it seems RIM has had some battery issues. Any advice on whether I should go ahead with the purchase? I'm just worried I'll be facing a short battery life with a new battery in a matter of months.
View 14 Replies View RelatedMy phone was working fine last night but this morning I am unable to shut it down. The only way to shut down the phone at the moment is to take the battery out. I can start up my phone by replacing the battery but when I try to unlock it it won't work.
At start up it verifies the software then gives me options to Unlock, Emergency, or Cancel but it i cannot select any of these and I cannot scroll through any of the options. The phone eventually goes into standby ( black screen ) which I am unable to get it out of.
I can hear my messages coming through and and the screen lights up when calls come through but I can't answer the call as the keyboard won't work. The green light also stays on despite the phone not being fully charged.
So had my N900 for a little over a week now and overall I'm pretty impressed. Great phone, but still very much a work in progress. One of the main issues I have at the moment, other than no turn-by-turn navigation (sorry, had to mention it), is the battery life - or lack of!
On an average weekday I use the phone to send a few texts (no more than 10), scan the news sites (no more then 20-30mins total) and catch up on my RSS feeds (again, no more than 20-30 mins total). I'm not using the media player at all and I may make one or two short calls.
Bottom line is that I'm struggling to get more than 6 hours battery life out of it. I know smart phones are thirsty, but I don't even get to listen to music on my way to or from work! Here's what I've already done to reduce battery consumption:
Removed active widgets (such as ForcaWeather) from desktops and replaced with web shortcuts.Reduced screen brightness to 2 barsDisabled GPS & Network positioningDisabled IMDisabled BluetoothI've heard some mention reducing the amount of active desktops, but I think that kinda defeats the object of having a N900. May as well buy a lesser phone if you need to strip out all the functionality to get though the day. I'd be satisfied with 8-10 hours medium use. At the moment I'm getting around 6 hours at light use - got to be something I'm missing.
I've set up my iP4 as a New phone and did NOT restore from a previous backup. I did a full charge to 100%, reset the data usage and made sure all apps were closed. I put it the phone to sleep (clicked power button) and I went to sleep. I woke up this morning and woke the phone up; 4% was used after 6hrs and 50min of standby time, there was no other usage.
Doing some quick math this would equate to 170.83 hours of standby time assuming a linear relationship; 56.94% of the 300hrs on the spec sheet.
410min/4% = 102.50min/% of standby use
102.5min*100/60 = 170.83 hours
This seems pretty light given the standby time rating. I'm hoping I can get others to perform the same test to get a decent sample of performance, please post your findings.
I have to charge my Satio twice a day. Even though I did not use it to talk, just idle to test the battery, it only last for 20 hours. I am really disappointed with this situation. After refer to the Satio website it is stated the talking is 4.5hours. Do i need to send it to the service center for warranty claim?

I didn't use it till 1 hour after disconect it and when i check the Use setting it have 29 mins. of use and like 55 mins of standby. Do I have a bad battery or is there a setting or application on that is draining the battery? Battery shows 46% battery usage by cell phone.
