I have recently faced a problem with my Bold 9700. Few days ago I have updated it to OS 6. Now when I open edit auto text from options. It shows that the ones I have been added are corrupted or something. They make no sense at all neither the abbreviation I put nor the abbreviated words. Plus I tried to delete them I press on delete and they won't go!Plus an issue I have faced a message ( input system error. System is being restarted ) every time I type anywhere and now it appears with spelling check.
One day it was working, and then i noticed every word i type is underlined like it may be misspelled. I tried removing the battery but it didnt help. What do i do. The auto correct doesnt work. Im should b corrected to I'm but it isnt as you can see by this message.
I have a new Storm and have just suffered a major disaster due to the default setting that deletes old appointments in Calendar if they are over 60 days old.
Blackberry - change your defaults to retain any information FOREVER rather than hiding a default deep in the Calendar options set to 60 days which no-one knows about till it is too late - I have lost 4 years of critical project schedules and activities simply because I bought a new phone!! Judging by a couple of other posts on these forums others have also suffered this unwanted 60-day default. It is just so much more logical that the Users make a concious decision to have automatic deletion.
how I can recover my lost calendar entries - since they have been deleted out of my Outlook as well.
I normally have to keep most of my history SMSes as they contain data and contacts from client and usually do not delete them. However i started using the new phone in early november and my sms history get auto deleted to now in mid dec. i have set the default of item from 40 to maximum 50, does not make sense,
I have been using BB from past 6 months or so, however all my messages from day one are getting auto deleted, the required changes are made to stop that but it still does not work. E:g - if vodafone is sending me a msg, the content would get deleted and the symbol would go green.
On my Samsung S6 Edge+, the default samsung keyboard autocorrect having issues.....
Problem 1: Previously I installed multiple languages for auto correct so I could text different folks in different languages, then I decided to uninstall and disable those other languages, but auto correct still has the entire dictionary of foreign languages loaded and there doesn't seem to be an option to remove those other than word by word as I type...
Problem 2: Since my phone is synced with my gmail, whenever I start typing any words, it will suggest random people's email addresses in the autocorrect which I can't seem to disable. I am not even typing in the "To" field of any email either, just googling things or texting.
I checked my contacts list on gmail but that's empty. It seems to just have memorised every single person I ever emailed even 10 years ago. Short of deleting those old emails, how do I get rid of those email address suggestions from my autocorrect?
Again, there doesn't seem to be an option to turn those email suggestions off and I can't even delete these ones from the autocorrect list - doing so says "are you sure", I confirm, and next time I start typing a few characters, that same email address gets suggested again!
So,I'm using blackberry 9700 running on OS 6A past ago, I'm using OS 5, backup, and restoring my autotext to my new OS (OS 6) so easy. Just restore it.Now I already use OS 6, and changed frequently to new OS 6 to fix bug etc. I got frustated how to restore my autotext from OS 6 to my new OS 6.I only got "Autotext data version 1", and if I restore it, my autotext like a mass, everything corrupted But,if I restore autotext data from my old OS 5 to my new OS 6, it works
my ray has started to play up recently, sometimes, and not all, i hear a vibration, look at my phone and there is nothing on either notification bar, no yellow 1 to say i have a text or anything, but if i go to my inbox, i can see that there was a text message and its like its already been read, but its not.
My company just switched over to T-Mobile and I decided to get the Galaxy S5. It's been great except for one major issue. When I get a call from clients and I'm away from my phone and don't answer it, it automatically sends back a couple of the pre-created text messages. I've had a couple people asking me if I'm on vacation because they've received the responses "I'm in a movie theater" and "I'm driving" both at the same time on several occassions. How do I turn this off. It's affecting my work and I can't have it on.
Disclaimer: I know I will get some heat for this topic but I really did search for answers before posting and never got the answer I'm looking for.As I'm typing in BB Messenger for example, my mispelled words are underlined but not replaced. I also get an option to change it to a correct word but I have to press the middle button to do so. The last time I had a blackberry in 2008 (Pearl), I think it was called T9 or something, but it automatically replaced my mispelled words as I typed. How can I enable this on my Blackberry Bold 9700?
Is it possible to auto-forward text messages (SMS) on iPhone 4? I have an iPhone for personal use and a company issued iPhone for work. So not to have to carry both phones, I have forwarded the incoming calls from the personal phone to the work phone, but I have not been able to find a way to auto-forward the text messages received on the personal iPhone to the work iPhone.
Whenever I miss a call the caller is sent a message saying that "I am in a meeting and will call back later". I didn't set this up and have not purchased an app so am wondering how to turn it off as it is getting quite annoying (for me and the caller!).
when I installed the latest upgrade to BlackBerry OS 6 on my Torch, I lost the hours of work I had put into entering composing shortcuts into AutoText. Can my hard work, and the wonderful shortcuts, be retrieved?
I've spent so long googling and I've made exactly no progress at all...!!- Problem: my blackberry only keeps text messages for about a week before deleting them- Phone type: It is a blackberry Curve 9320. It seems to be on OS 7.1. I got it around the middle of October 2012.- Also worth noting: unlike most people I've found online with this complaint- my call logs aren't being deleted, and are still intact all the way back to the middle of October when I got the phone.- Also, emails aren't deleted after a week, they perhaps linger for as much as a month before vanishing.
(I don't care about those as much because I can access them other ways, whereas texts I can't)According to various googlings and also questions on here, this is most commonly due to lack of memory, therefore they suggest that you check your memory status and then free some up if required.- When I go into device and status information it tells me that my free memory is around 133602256 bytes (which I believe is in the region of 126mb?). Does this count as a lot or a little? Could this be the source of the problem after all?- Similarly when I look in memory use under media it says 'built-in media storage 96% free (30.4mb)' and 'media card storage 95% free (1.7gb)'The other obvious thing which I've checked (and initially thought had solved the problem but it hadn't) was 'Message display and actions' where I've had 'days to keep messages' set as forever but it doesn't seem to have made a difference.Am I missing something really obvious? How can I get it to keep my messages for more than 7 or 8 days?
I recently upgraded to the Razr MAXX HD from a HTC Droid Incredible. On the HTC Dinc, when reading an article or something on the phone, if you pinched to zoom making the text larger, it would automatically reformat to fit the width of the phone, so you didn't have to scroll right/left to read the entire line. The MAXX HD doesn't seem to do this. If I pinch and zoom in on text, it just makes the text bigger but doesn't reformat it to fit the width of the phone, so I have to scroll left/right to read the entire line.
My iphone 4 always shutdown when I'm sending text or i received text. Also when my battery is 50%. But when I'm charging while texting it's not shutting down.
I know my Pure can read texts, but if I want to set up an auto reply for incoming texts ("I'm on the road now but I'll text you back as soon as I can" .... ), is there a way to do so? Ideally this would be fully automated. So when I start driving it kicks in, & when I stop it disengages.
I've tried going into: Options>SMS>Disable Auto Text>Save. It doesn't work. Is there another way to disable this fucnction? I get tired of seeing the box with word suggestions as I type messages.
