BB Software :: Auto-text Can't Be Deleted
Apr 22, 2011I have recently faced a problem with my Bold 9700. Few days ago I have updated it to OS 6. Now when I open edit auto text from options. It shows that the ones I have been added are corrupted or something. They make no sense at all neither the abbreviation I put nor the abbreviated words. Plus I tried to delete them I press on delete and they won't go!Plus an issue I have faced a message ( input system error. System is being restarted ) every time I type anywhere and now it appears with spelling check.

May 9, 2011I have been using BB from past 6 months or so, however all my messages from day one are getting auto deleted, the required changes are made to stop that but it still does not work. E:g - if vodafone is sending me a msg, the content would get deleted and the symbol would go green.

Apr 9, 2011I've spent so long googling and I've made exactly no progress at all...!!- Problem: my blackberry only keeps text messages for about a week before deleting them- Phone type: It is a blackberry Curve 9320. It seems to be on OS 7.1. I got it around the middle of October 2012.- Also worth noting: unlike most people I've found online with this complaint- my call logs aren't being deleted, and are still intact all the way back to the middle of October when I got the phone.- Also, emails aren't deleted after a week, they perhaps linger for as much as a month before vanishing.
(I don't care about those as much because I can access them other ways, whereas texts I can't)According to various googlings and also questions on here, this is most commonly due to lack of memory, therefore they suggest that you check your memory status and then free some up if required.- When I go into device and status information it tells me that my free memory is around 133602256 bytes (which I believe is in the region of 126mb?). Does this count as a lot or a little? Could this be the source of the problem after all?- Similarly when I look in memory use under media it says 'built-in media storage 96% free (30.4mb)' and 'media card storage 95% free (1.7gb)'The other obvious thing which I've checked (and initially thought had solved the problem but it hadn't) was 'Message display and actions' where I've had 'days to keep messages' set as forever but it doesn't seem to have made a difference.Am I missing something really obvious? How can I get it to keep my messages for more than 7 or 8 days?

Jan 26, 2010a buddy of mine is on verizon and NOT on a blackberry, I know what the crap is wrong with him right? Anywho, he has something set up that when he gets a phone call and doesn't want to answer it he just hits ignore and has it set up that it will automatically send a text message to that number saying "i'm in a meeting I will call you back" is this possible to set up with a Blackberry Curve 8330 on Sprint? Thats what I have.

Jul 26, 2012I use my BB Curve 9300 for work (Outlook 2007) and for personal use. My emails are being deleted after they are 7 days old and then when I scroll thru my emails it goes to weird dates with only 1 email there. Also, my texts are being deleted after only a few days...so frustrating!!! I have to be able to go back thru my emails. I went and looked at my memory thinking I was out of memory, but I have 3.0 gb of memory avaliable.

Mar 25, 2012I need to recover some text messages. Phone has not been used since they were deleted. I have been told so many things now. One is if it had a sims card they would still be there. I was told curve with Verizon doesn't have a simscard then I was told they all have one but it is built in. I need these texts back if possible. I've done search after search on my phone and it's only giving me the messages I've sent to that person and not their messages.
Is there a way to pull these messages or do I need some sort of software? I haven't done a backup for a few months since I only use it as a phone and for Facebook.Please tell me there is someway to pull these messages. I need to catch this perp now and report him to my pastor.
IPhone :: 3G Auto Dials People On Recent List
Jan 27, 2010if I have say the whole Recent calls list full - actually just one page will do - then my iPhone will auto dial people randomly from this list. Just recently I got a call from a family member saying that I had just dialed them but nothing was said.. I checked my recent list and nothing out of the ordinary was on this list. I did NOT dial this family member at the time it was said I did.
I have begun clearing my recent list for each call just in case the phone auto dials again without me knowing. Could this be an operator issue(Telenor,DK)? I have just recently reset my iPhone and started fresh with no restored backup from iTunes. iPhone 3G 8GB with up-to-date firmware. Plenty of music and apps and about 400MB free disk space.

BB Storm :: Recovering Auto-deleted Appointments?
Aug 15, 2011I have a new Storm and have just suffered a major disaster due to the default setting that deletes old appointments in Calendar if they are over 60 days old.
Blackberry - change your defaults to retain any information FOREVER rather than hiding a default deep in the Calendar options set to 60 days which no-one knows about till it is too late - I have lost 4 years of critical project schedules and activities simply because I bought a new phone!! Judging by a couple of other posts on these forums others have also suffered this unwanted 60-day default. It is just so much more logical that the Users make a concious decision to have automatic deletion.
how I can recover my lost calendar entries - since they have been deleted out of my Outlook as well.

Apr 5, 2012The iPhone 3GS was syncronized in iTunes. I was using iCal too, but I'm not sure if there's any automatic or manual syncronizing there. Just right after unplugging the iPhone from iTunes after the syncronizing was finished, the entire SMS list was deleted on the phone. I'm not sure if the backup procedure is usually running at the same time together with the syncronizing. But anyway is it possible to retrieve back the SMS list?
I have tried out several backup and recovery applications for iPhone and programs for Mac, but none of them work to backup the latest SMS list.
I also have an entire external backup of the whole Macbook, and with a swipe of luck it was backed up just two days before the deletion.

Dec 9, 2015On my Samsung S6 Edge+, the default samsung keyboard autocorrect having issues.....
Problem 1:
Previously I installed multiple languages for auto correct so I could text different folks in different languages, then I decided to uninstall and disable those other languages, but auto correct still has the entire dictionary of foreign languages loaded and there doesn't seem to be an option to remove those other than word by word as I type...
Problem 2:
Since my phone is synced with my gmail, whenever I start typing any words, it will suggest random people's email addresses in the autocorrect which I can't seem to disable. I am not even typing in the "To" field of any email either, just googling things or texting.
I checked my contacts list on gmail but that's empty. It seems to just have memorised every single person I ever emailed even 10 years ago. Short of deleting those old emails, how do I get rid of those email address suggestions from my autocorrect?
Again, there doesn't seem to be an option to turn those email suggestions off and I can't even delete these ones from the autocorrect list - doing so says "are you sure", I confirm, and next time I start typing a few characters, that same email address gets suggested again!
