Since late September, most of my gmail personal email messsages cannot be deleted. Can see no logic to those that do delete. No problems for two previous years and no problem with the business emails under separate name. Have verified they are not saved. Have tried usual processes, one by one delete, all prior delete, etc. Can delete on computer, but still appear on the Blackberry. (Tour 9630/no new apps or downloads during this time/ pretty basic phone and email usage, and no prior problems relating to this issue.) Have already checked prior entries on this forum. Either not applicable, or had no impact on the problem.
When i delete an email on my blackberry in my gmail account - it does not matter whether i choose 'on mailbox and handheld' or 'on handheld' - the email does not delete itself. It is still sitting there in my list of emails but now it says (0 Items) in the header and has one of the gold stars next to it (the kind you usually select to add when an email is important) and i can no longer open the email.I have tried everything in the options menu including:-Trying to delete the message again- Remove star- Move to inbox-Reconcile nowbut nothing happens. I even deleted this email address off of my blackberry and re-added it and still nothing
I spent 4 hours on the phone today with Verizon trying to figure out why only certain emails come to my device. I've updated the service books, tables, deleted my email account, created a new one, books and tables again, pulled the battery, everything. Nothing seems to work.I was getting all my emails last week and over the weekend I've just started to get only a few (call it 2/7 on average). Can anyone help me with what is going on?! This is very frustrating and the Verizon guys are about as helpful as rocks.
I am having a problem opening attachments in my emails. They are usually jpg or png files, which I have never had an issue opening before. I choose "open attachment" from the menu, and the little red clock that appears next to the file just stays there. If i click the trackball, i get a prompt to resend the request, but clicking "yes" doesn't do anything. I recently upgraded to leaked OS .662, but I'm not convinced that is the problem because a coworker has OS 4.7.1.40 (original OS) and he is also experiencing the same problem.
I have set-up my email account using IMAP. I am using the IMAP path prefix of INBOX as I use on my old iPhone and on the email client on my laptop, but the Samsung email client does not seem to recognise it. When I delete an email it is reloaded the next time it sync with the server.
When you view your email through the preinstalled apps, either Hotmail or Google. When you viewed them and deleted them then return to your email on a PC/Desktop the emails you've deleted are still there?
i am looking for a email app that is way better then the default one..i would like multiple syncs with my many emails and easy delete folders buttons instead of the default one by one delete.
When I delete an e-mail, nothing happens, I scroll do wn and the icon changes to an opened envelope and greys out but the top line states:(0 items)But it will not disappear. Also, when I create and try to send a message, I get nothing.I have a gmail account which has always worked perfectly but this has started happening in the last few weeks,I have a BB Curve 8520 running software v5.0.0.681I have "338 messages" and counting....
I am unable to setup my gmail account because I don't see the 'I want to create or add an email address' option button in the email setup screen..The setup screen only displays 'I want to use a work email account with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server'
Is there a way to add the 'I want to create or add an email address' to the email setup screen.?Do I need to flash the os? how do I do that?
I was going through my memorie card and I was attempting to delete pictures. I would click delete and the message "the selected file is read only.are you sure you wish to delete file" I click yes and the picture is still there.
I had to wipe my Blackberry because of a camera problem. I had everything backed up in Blackberry Desktop Manager. None of my emails or MMS's were restored when I connected my Blackberry again to restore all of the data.
After the RIM server problems last week and several long technical help calls to and from Sprint, my 3 email addresses have been reactivated (several times). However, I continue to receive every email in duplicate, which is better than not receiving at all but would like to resolve this minor problem.
I just ended my contract with Verizon, got a new phone (not a BB), activated it and then realized after that I had no way to access any new e-mail that came in to my vzw.blackberry acct after shutting it down. How can I do that.
My bb tour 9630 won't send or receive emails and bbm. The phone sill works. Services Status tells me I am not connected but I can't connect. It stopped working yesterday.
my mom gave me her blackberry tour when she upgraded and I had it unlocked.so I could use it for my move to Dubai. In Canada, I was able to use voice, SMS, access email and BBM via FIDO.I could not see any internet icon so I didn't have any data plans. It was all pre-paid.I had a TOUR from work previously and was able to access voice, SMS, internet, BBM....is this the difference between blackberry enterprise (which I assume is available only for businesses) vs the Blackberry Services (Email or Social Networking) for personal use? When I moved to Dubai, I pulled the FIDO sim card and obtained a du sim card (yes "du").I then paid for and activated my blackberry services (email / BBM) however when I tried to set up my email account, I got a "Your device had a problem connecting to the server" error.I tried pulling the battery, registering through Advanced Option, Host Routing, registering online at du.blackberry.com and when I try to register there, I get the message that says my device cannot be registered and to try and register through advanced options and if that doesn't work contact my wireless provider.
Someone from their technical support got back to me and said that my blackberry service is associated with my previous wireless provider (FIDO) and that I had to call FIDO to get the PIN released.I did that and FIDO said it was released.I've tried repeating the previous steps for registering / setting up email and I'm still getting the same errors. Initially when I got the du sim card, they activated a blackberry social account for me and this was not what I wanted so they deactivated it.I wonder if somehow my device is actually registered with du, but on the wrong plan.so this is why I can't access the email / bbm service.
Searched around for a bit, and most threads on this topic seem to be related to using BES.I had a Curve up until last week. When I delete messages in Outlook on my PC (standard POP mailbox, not Exchange), they would usually disappear from my BB within 30 minutes. Now I upgraded to a Tour last week and this is not happening, I have to delete in both places. I'm sure it is just a simple setting I am missing but can't find where it should be. I do have the reconciliation: on conflicts: set to Mailbox wins.
Other then this, really enjoying the Tour. I'll be going overseas next month so we'll see how well Verizon handles that.
I'm A Bit Confused, I Did A Battery Pull And It Loaded Up And Everything, I Just Wasn't Connected To BIS. If Someone Was To Send Me An Email, Say From A @Yahoo Email Address Would I Receive It? Or Would I Have To Be Connected To BIS To Receive Emails? I Have A @vzw.blackberry.net Email Address.
My 9630 does not save my incoming email messages for more than a day or so. What am I missing. All my sent items show up in the mailbox but nothing from previous days for incoming. Is this a setting I am missing? I noticed a "on conflict mailbox wins" should this be changed to handheld wins?
This might be a dumb question. I want to start receiving emails again to my handset. How do I go about turning that feature back on, so that I can get them? Blackberry Tour 9630 for Verizon. I can't seem to figure it out.
I have 3 email accounts hooked up to my blackberry. I really only want my school and gmail emails to come through to my phone and would like my hotmail account (spam/misc. account) to only be accessible when I go into the actual email account, and not get 100 emails an hour from it. Is this possible?
I'm using BIS and within the last couple of months emails have started disappearing off of my blackberry handest. They usually disappear within about 45 minutes of receiving them. I've done a hard reset and I have about 160 MB of memory free but it still keeps happening. I use Outlook to check my email but this happens even if my computer is off so Outlook isn't running.
how do I delete the applications on my Tour that I didn't download? I don't use AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, or anything like that, and I can't figure out how to delete them. When I select the app and hit the menu button, there's no "delete" option. I also have some NFL app that was installed after the update, which I definitely don't need.
I have always had problems with these "network" emails that transmitt information: network@etp1008.etp.na.blackberry.net This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server. I use desktop redirector to send messages from Outlook to my blackberry. Sometimes I rarely receive these and other times I will have my blackberry and Outlook inbox folder FLOODED with multiple emails of this kind. Sometimes as many as 100 emails overnight. The only way I have found to bypass these messages is to create a folder in Outlook (I named it blackberry emails) and create a rule for all incoming messages from these addresses to filter them into this folder and set the folder to not sync with my blackberry. This is the only way I have found to NOT get flooded with these emails in my inbox and blackberry. Does anybody know of a better solution or rather why these emails are coming? I know they are supposed to dissapear, but they are not.
I am running 5.0.0.419 right now on my VZW Tour. I don't know if this is normal or not, but I'm having some HTML E-Mail issues. Everytime I get an email, it never downloads emails automatically. I've got my settings so that it is supposed to, but when I open one up, I just have image boxes with no images. Is there anything special I need to do? I normally just go into options and hit get images, but it would be nice if this were done automatically.
if i delete an email on my handheld it does not delete from my actual gmail account. in fact, it doesnt even say that its read. well, on the computer next to inbox it doesnt say any are new, but when i look at the inbox, i still have the emails and it shows them bolded like they were not read at all. when i delete on my bb, nothing happens to gmail. i tried deleting my gmail address from my phone, resending service books, battery pulls but none of that has resolved. i made sure that handheld wins was set to on under wireless reconciliation and in the VZW BIS control/email settings i have it set to sync deleted emails.
i tried fooling around with the contact sync a few days ago but stopped it becaues it wasnt working (this is the only new thing ive done with my bb in the last week or so). i also downoaded the new socialbeat app from verizon/iskoot. but other than that nothing is new in the last few days. i am running driphters 6.3 on top of whatever OS its supp to be installed on (.484 i think?). dont just jump to that as the problem because i have had it for almost a month and have not had a problem until now (that i tried that stupid contact sync bullsht).
I recently went to Africa and took a lot of pictures that I'd like to keep. No problem. My problem is that I after that I took a long trip and took maybe 200 pictures of random stuff to post on twitter and now I want to delete the most recent pictures.
Is there an easy way to do this? I tried manually deleting one picture at a time and eventually gave up on doing it this way.

I am trying to use the delete function for apps that I have downloaded (not legacy installed apps). It prompts me if I want to delete (fine) but when I select ok to delete, it locks my phone up which requires me to re-boot. The app is still there and fiunctions. I know sometimes it takes several to many minutes to normally delte
