I have no cell service in the area and im trying to access app world on a 9800 torch using wi fi only.. When I try to get in, it says THE DATA SERVICE NOT OPERATIONAL.. Tried talking to the service provider they couldn't help

If a view an app and attempt to download it, the same thing happens. I'm trying to download the new version of Blackberry Bridge so that I can have more fun with Playbook os 2.0.

I have a torch 9800 and had upgraded Os to 6.0.. I live in Virginia and use AT&T Wireless. I would get an error loading the program after reinstalling it. I had read about this issue and I decided not to worry about it and went on without those programs.Now..Today i no longer have app world? I uninstalled and reinstalled many times.Read many forums and even wiped the phone and reinstalled.still no app world. View 3 Replies View Relatedjust noticed something. Whenever i'm on wifi and i go into app world, it says "there is an issue with app world. app world will now close."
But when i off the wifi and back on data, its running ok. I then pause my download, head back to home screen, on the wifi and continue download.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI keep getting the following message:"The network you are connected to appears to be a hotspot.You may be required to consent to legal terms and/or set up an account to get internet access. Hotspot operators may charge service fees for internet access". However, its a free network that my other devices, such as my playbook connect to without problems. When I click "OK" I get another message that says: "This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again." I click OK, and it takes my to the BB browser, which of course doesn't work.Its like it wants me to give permission to use the network, but I need to use the network to give the approval.
-WiFi is enabled
-Bluetooth is enabled
-Other devices including Playbook currently work on the network
-Repeatedly gives me the first message above, followed by the second message above
My BB ID works on the Blackberry website, but I can't use the BB ID on my new Bold 9900 (it says 'unable to log into your Blackberry ID account'). Vodafone suggested I cleaned the memory (options, security, advanced security, memory cleaning), and then tried to delete my old BBID (the one that worked on my old Bold 9700) and set up a new BBID, but that didn't work either. After looking online others have tried security wipes but many say they haven't worked. I'm unable to access Blackberry protect and 'my world' in Blackberry App World, or do anything that involves using my BB ID on my phone

anyways, I'd like to know if this option still exists, because I'm trying to access a mobile website but its coming up as the full website. When I tried putting an m. in front of the website it didnt work so I'm not sure how to access it.
I have already installed the new Desktop Manager 6.0 that I downloaded from the RIM site.
I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.
When I go to the Login Screen @ My World in Apps I cant enter my Blackberry ID, I noticed the small padalock on the top right of the screen is now locked, its been like this for 4 days now.
I changed both my email and password, but neither my new details or old detais work, everything was done by cut and past so I have made no errors,Im totrally locked out opf this area in Blackberry.
