BB Torch :: Windows Installer Error When Trying To Sync It?
Apr 17, 2012
I am a user of the Blackberry Desk Top Manager, running under Windows XP 64 bit. I recently downloaded the latest version of Desk Top Manager and I am getting the following error: - Flashing intermittently, whilst running the newly downloaded Desktop Manager - "Windows Installer Preparing to Install". I have removed the program, downloaded it again from Blackberry's website and run my Windows updates to no available. I have now been advised that I must format my entire computer and reload Windows, which seems to be a rather onerous solution, as I have been using Blackberry's Synchronization Program for over a year successfully before this took place.
I'm getting really frustrated trying to Install the Ovi Suite Installer 2.2.0.241 on my Thinkpad T400. I still have about 8G free, but the installer hangs at about 50%. I have tried to install numerous times, with and without restarting the machine., but get the same unsuccessful results. For now I have to do with the Nokia PC Suite which was successfully installed, but I really look forward to using the OVI.
I just purchased a Nokia N97 mini after having spent 5 years on Windows Mobile due to hardward and software issues. I hope I did not make another mistake by moving back to Symbian! Even when I cancel the installation, it still hangs.
I am a user of the Blackberry Desk Top Manager, running under Windows XP Service Pack 4.5. I recently downloaded the latest version of Desk Top Manager and I am getting the following error: - Flashing intermittently, whilst running the newly downloaded Desktop Manager - "Windows Installer Preparing to Install". I have removed the programme, downloaded it again from Blackberry's website and run my Windows updates to no available. I have window xp and have installed HTC Sync.I have connected the Wildfire to the PC using the correct cable supplied.I have gone to Settings/ Application /Development and enabled usb debugging. When I start HTC Sync I get the error message "no device connected"Is there someone who works for this HTC company able to explain this dysfunctional phone
My carrier will soon be transferring ownership to AT&T. When that happens, we are required to get a new phone, I want to upgrade to Torch. My questions is: Will the Torch accurately sync to Outlook 2007 on Windows 7. My previous phone was a Motorola Q9c and synced fine to Vista but will not synch to Windows 7. That phone dies and I am using now a HTC Hero that every time is snycs to my contacts on Outlook it puts all my contacts in by Contacts first name.
It does not allow me to show by Company name, and anyplace there is only a Company name with no person contact, the HTC only shows a phone # in the contacts list. I have over 600 contacts in my list, and I have most "filed as" company name then contact person's name, which it the way I need it to work. So I need to make sure that when syncing to the Torch, it will sync to Outlook exactly the way I have my Contacts set up.
I'm trying to install motocast to connect my motoactv. Gets to about 98% of installing MotoHelper and USB drivers and gives an error: "This driver installer does not recognize your operating system. The installer will now exit" Running Windows 8 Consumer preview. Tried multiple compatibility modes no luck. Is this just not compatible?
Am I the only one that gets these errors everytime I connect? I just click "try again" on the first message, then I click past the second message and then it works, but it seems odd. I don't have anything special on my network, it's just a basic cable modem with a wireless router and my computer connects via wireless. See attached for errors
I have BB Desktop Manager 5.0.1 and I am un able to syncronize my Contacts with Windows Live Mail from Windows 7. The only options the Desktop Manager offers are: Outlook Express, Importad./Exportad. ASCII adn Yahoo.
I'm a new Blackberry user just picking up a Torch today. I proceeded to sunc up my Contacts using Blackberry Desktop Manager and was presented with an error and a KB article to consult. KB19454-"The <organizer application> database cannot be accessed for synchronization" appears when attempting a synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager 1.0 on a Mac computer
Has anyone experienced this issue and no the solution? Although the KB article references many sync item issues, mine is with contacts. I admit I was a little disappointed to find that out-of-the-box I was unable to sync with Contacts on OS X.
I did an update today with my Blackberry Torch and when syncing with my Computer continue to get the following message:CRTranRec::GetLinkedRecordld :Invalid linked record ld
I cannot sync my Outlook calendar when using BB desktop Manager. I get a error message pop up window saying "Intellisync" "Connector error" The the synchronization is cancelled.
I am on a personal contract and this is not connected through BB enterprise. My e-mail accounts are fine and I get these on my BB
Blackberry Torch 9860. When I try to sync using the desktop software the syncing starts as usual but then I get the error message 0x8386003e and I find that the tasks and contacts have not synced at all. I use Outlook. It says refer to documentation but there's no note of this error message anwhere.
I use Thunderbird as my desktop e-msil software and want to transfer my address book to the Torch contact file. I transferred the address book toa csv file but get this error when doing the organizer sync. I went through all the settings in the desktop software
I know there are separate posts on this subject on connection consistency problems but I can't seem to get an answer to a fundamental question. Is the problem hardware or software related? Since turning off WiFi improves the connection consistency significantly what does that imply? I want to return my Torch of this is a hardware issue.
I get this problem and cant sync my contacts from Mac.I am sorry i spent so much money. I got the same problem with the 9000 bold and was teh reason i let go. Now I have the same problem.
When i sync my contacts from DM with outlook on my torch i keep getting this error message - error 0x80040fb3
I have removed all of the pictures from the contacts on outlook but the error message still appears. I have uncheck the picture and attachment fields in the DM but the error message still appears.
I am having an issue with a weird error code that I have gotten since day 1 of owning my torch. Everytime I do a BP when the phone boots up I am getting an error that says, "122 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. Activatet=6"
I get this same error code when trying to set up my visual voicemail. When someone leaves a message I get that 122 Error as well as another error sent from 1000000000 that just has a garbled message. My VVM has been reset twice by at&t and I have been told that everything is provisioned correctly. I was hoping that .214 would fix this issue but still it persists.
I cant sync my contacts on my blackberry 8520 Curve with my computer which has Windows 7,I've tried all I could. Its syncs with Windows Contacts but Windows Contacts is not available on Windows7
When I connect my IPhone to my Pc the internal storage from control panel show up then I don't know what to do there, then when i open the itunes the summary is missing, when i went to device to sync music etc the sync button both in the iphone & itunes is grey out, I don't what to do I already try everything I re uninstalled it several times and installed it, the usb works well. The usb work fine when i connect it to the windows 8 nothing happen it's like i did not connect it but there is a tone that mean i am connected I don't know what to. Its a windows 8 and iphone 5.

My iphone 5s does not sync to my PC (Windows 7). When I plug in my phone, nothing happens. It does not charge, nor does the computer recognize it. My computer recognizes my older iphones. How can I solve this issue?
X10 2.1. When im doing SYNC, theres always a message box about windows security asking for a username and passwords. At first I would enter my Sony credentials, thou is not being accepted. What should I do? I think thats the main reason why It wont allow me to SYNC.
I get new phone restored and try using BB desktop to sync my Outlook contact list with phone. It wants to errase all contacts and then add all of them back in each time. Also get an error at the end of sync "During sync, some of the records were invalid. The following 1 records were skipped:Address Book: Device - 0Microsoft Outlook - 1 Do you want to view the sync log for more details Yes / No" Never did this with last phone.
