Nov 2, 2010How can I view a contact without the phone autodialing the number? When I end the call the contact closes..I need to read the number.

Nov 18, 2012I'm having problem dialing from contact list and recent calls. I can only makes calls when dialing the numbers. I can receive calls. Texting works fine from contact list and recent calls, but voice call can only be done by dialing the number .Phone has to reboot everytime it happens.

Apr 20, 2011When I dial phone numbers and have to press a number to get connected to a certain department it will not acknowledge any number I press. I also entered a number in my speed dial with pauses followed by an extension and my phone does not ackowlege any of that.

Aug 14, 2010I loved going to the phone app, the phone log (center tab) is active and all I had to do to dial someone in the log was to touch the screen. Now when I touch the screen nothing happens!If I hold my finger on the screen for an extended period I get a 6 icon popup offering text, view history, add speed dial, delete, call, or full menu - then if I select call the "call which number" prompt comes up.Previously to the update all I had to do was touch a # or contact in the log and the "call which number" would come up for rapid calls backs, and if it was a single number contact it would just call.Additionally if I select the right contact tab in the phone app and touch a contact it is the same problem - I want the old "instant" call or call which number behavior.

Dec 3, 2015I sync contacts with a corporate Exchange / Outlook account. I can manage contacts on the phone or PC. Any contact who has say a business, home or mobile number and a fax number specified, if I go to the dialer, start typing their name, it does show the contact and a number (no indication of type such as fax or cell) so I tap that choice. Sadly, no, I can't just tell from looking at the number if it is fax or not. The phone dials the fax # which of course is incredibly annoying to my ear and that this dumb phone doesn't know not to try a fax number as the first choice for any contact who has a fax number.
I know I can set the default number per contact but I have hundreds of contacts and to go through each one to see if they have a fax and change it would really suck. Is there seriously no way to tell the phone not to use fax as first choice by default?

I edited a contact (changed the e-mail address from "home" to "work") through the web interface and saved it.-However, when checking the contact through the web interface, it appears blank (I've tried using both Firefox and Internet Exploder, logging in and out etc)...When synching from the phone, the contact showed up with the updated information, so that worked fine, but it's not good I can't see it anymore....

Mar 4, 2010I have recently purchased an N97 in Australia, when I have incoming calls from my contacts, most do not display names.If SIM contacts are selected, the contacts are displayed but when copied to phone and editted ie; ring tones to contact, additional details, etc and then selecting phone memory as default the contacts are not displayed to most of incoming calls.By reverting to SIM contacts as default, you lose all the additional features of the so called "smart phone".There seems to be no rhym or reason to why some contacts are displaye and most are not!
