View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to keep the display in landscape view when you slide the keynboard open? I have a car cradle that I used with my 9700. I now use the cradle with my Torch. The Torch is thicker than the 9700, so I have to slide the Torch open and slide just the keybord section in it fits nice aNd tight. I want to be able to swivel the cradle to allopw landscape view, but since the keyboard is open the screen won't change from portraight to landscape view.

Very frustrating! This happened once before but corrected itself. Is there a setting that can changed? My carrier, Bell Mobility, was of no assistance. Just told me to return the unit for repair which would take 6 - 8 weeks.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4 and recently the phone quit going into landscape view when tipped on its side. My eyes are getting too old to read emails and web pages in the regular portrait view. I don't think any settings have been changed and I have installed the latest updates. What's up with this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI cannot view my text messages in the regular view, ie I have to turn my phone sideways to view the messages and to text. Software is up to date, this just came on randomly in the last week. Normally you can 'shake' the phone and the view angle changes. Won't work for texting, works for emails.....

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just switched from a Storm 2 to the Torch 9810. My Torch will not enter landscape mode or even move from the portrait mode, so basically the accelerometer seems inop. I have pulled the battery and it will work for a few hours but then it stops again. I am trying to avoid pulling the battery every 8 hours. I have read online that the problem might be related to my transferring some old BB 5 settings to my new phone but don't know how to undo this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had a recurring issue with my screen not wanting to change orientation when I rotate the phone. This is especially frustrating since the portrait keyboard is difficulty for me to use. I have tried resets, battery pulls and most recently a security wipe. While the phone will work properly at first, the problem eventually recurs. I am assuming that I may have a faulty accelerometer. Is there a test that can confirm if this is the case?

1 - The drivers are fully available for all the phones and allow seemless integration with bluetooth on PCs.
2 - It is ultra convenient to manage all media, contacts and messages through your PC / Laptop using the suite.
Sony, is requested to kindly provide a better Suite with capability of Messaging and Managing Contacts also giving bluetooth peripheral device drivers for connecting the phone through bluetooth. This is my 5th phone under the Sony Brand and I do not want to be disappointed. I am an avid fan and recommend Sony to all my friends. These features are very basic and are expected to be available for such high end smart phones.

View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since playing with the iPad, I've always felt restricted with the iPhone only displaying the home screen in portrait mode. I know it is more suitable for that size display, but I think it would be cool when using it as a media device.Does anyone think it will ever become available in the future on the iPhone? And would it be possible for a jailbreak feature to do this (first time iPhone user)?

Yet, on the C6, the call screen also rotates to landcape mode with PR1.1 (see screenshot of C6 call screen in landscape mode) Why does the C6 call screeen rotate landscape yet the N8 does not?
I've recently acquired an Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) with Android 2.3.4 but the screen is permanently in landscape mode. And before anyone says check display settings. Yes it is in auto rotate with full animations on. Tried repair from SE companion, hard and soft reset but to no avail.
When i check services using the *#*#7378423#*#* request, accelerometer appears to work just fine as does the Slide flip Keyboard count. I originally thought it might of been hardware fault. But these tell me otherwise.
Although, admittedly it did switch to portrait view once for a split second whilst sliding the keyboard in half way. I haven't been able to replicate it since.
I have Xperia Neo (MT15i), with the latest available ICS 4.0.4 update installed and working. Here is something that's been eating me for a while: I've always missed a landscape orientation of the home screen, and I've eagerly anticipated it with every new update. To my great disappointment, I still unsuccessful in achieveing landscape oriented home screen on my devise. That is, until recently, when I noticed that if I connect to phone with an USB cable to a computer, and then put the phone in a lanscape position, after about 15-30 seconds of heavy thinking, the screen does come up in a landscape mode! Totally shocked, I picked up the phone and disconnected it from the USB cable. Immediately, the home screen went to a portrait position and no matter how I did rotate it, it never switched back to a landscape mode. Until I connected it again to the USB cable... Weird! True, it takes it about 30 sec. to make the switch but it comes up in a landscape orientation only when it is connected viaUSB cable to a computer. why can't I have the landscape mode without the USB connection active?
