When I dial phone numbers and have to press a number to get connected to a certain department it will not acknowledge any number I press. I also entered a number in my speed dial with pauses followed by an extension and my phone does not ackowlege any of that.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI loved going to the phone app, the phone log (center tab) is active and all I had to do to dial someone in the log was to touch the screen. Now when I touch the screen nothing happens!If I hold my finger on the screen for an extended period I get a 6 icon popup offering text, view history, add speed dial, delete, call, or full menu - then if I select call the "call which number" prompt comes up.Previously to the update all I had to do was touch a # or contact in the log and the "call which number" would come up for rapid calls backs, and if it was a single number contact it would just call.Additionally if I select the right contact tab in the phone app and touch a contact it is the same problem - I want the old "instant" call or call which number behavior.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 5c has me really stumped. When I play the music I have downloaded on my phone using the Music App, it randomly pauses and then starts again. I restored it myself, it still did it. I took it to the Apple Store, they restored it, it still did it. I took it back to the Apple Store, they gave me a new phone, and the new phone did it too, right away. I contacted Apple Support via chat and they suggested it might be the backup I'm using. So I restored the new phone and backed it up from my computer instead of my iCloud. It worked fine for about five days.Â
Now, it's start randomly pausing and playing again. I contacted Apple Support again and they suggested I restore the phone and set it up as a new phone. I'm afraid I'll do this and the problem still won't be fixed and I'll have lost everything on my phone for nothing. This morning, the first time it randomly paused was when I got a text message while listening to music. I don't know if this provides any insight. I don't know if this is an iOS issue or what. I just don't know what to do

I have an issue when using my Musicplayer app. When I either turning up or down the Volume the player pauses the Music. Sometimes it starts by itself again after for example 30 sec. Otherwise I have to go to the musicplayer and push the play button again.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a non jailbroken iPhone 5c currently updated to IOS 7.1.1. Before, my iPhone was working perfectly fine. Now, any audio I play will play for a bit and then randomly pause (this is in any audio app, ex: YouTube, Soundcloud, iTube, etc.) but it's even worse in iTunes. When I play music via iTunes, it skips around like crazy and just completely jumps from song to song. I don't even have to touch my phone. It literally feels like my phone is possessed. Siri has also been going off on its own without me touching anything. I've tried closing my apps down, playing with the settings, turning my phone off, and doing a hard reset.

I need to click on "record" to cotinue again. If i try to record a session of 45 minutes..probably 7 to 8 times i need to check my mobile to see whether it is recording or already paused and if already paused i need to click on record to continue. I'm using PocketCasts and the media is on the phone for that. Also using doubletwist and it's media is on SD.
Took me a long time to notice it because some podcasts aren't the greatest quality. Thing is if I rewind and replay that section it usually plays fine meaning the phone did something wrong.
I am encountering some trouble when usign mix radio in offline mode. More precisely I have a Mix downloaded to the device. After each song, music pauses and I have to resume manually. I do not know if disabling the mobile internet connection does help, but when at home on WiFi, the problem does not occur. I.e. I have the impression that offline mix radio with mobile internet enabled has open issues.

here are the symptoms i encounter:
1. video randomly pauses - after ~20 to 30 seconds of playback, the back light turns off and immediately goes back on and resumes playback. this is regardless where the video is stored.
2. online videos (e.g. from Internet) randomly pauses - after ~20 to 30 seconds of playback, video is paused and streaming is also restarted.
3. camera momentarily freezes - video display turns off and immediately goes back on as if it has recovered from an error. same is encountered when using the front camera.
also, if you know the web browser 'dolphin', it has a feature of 'keep screen on' that will keep the back light on even if there is no activity on the phone. however, since my phone is acting weird lately, the backlight of my phone turns off after some time even if the 'keep screen on' feature is enabled.
this gave me an impression that the problem must be somewhat related to the backlight or memory. but i am not really sure. i tried to power off the phone, removed the battery, removed the sim, removed the sd, but the problem still persists.
this is annoying as hell because i cannot watch videos smoothly anymore and my video calls randomly stops.

I am able to put the SIP settings, also I am able to register on the SIP server (the provider), but I do not have the IP Tel to do dialing using SIP. What is the solution? Fring, Nimbuzz and other 3rd party product: these days they require to use their own service, and they are not open for generic service to be used, also they have a bad quality.
I would to use the Nokia Built in, which is very good and it support g729 codec. So what is the advise to resolve this issue for N97? The fun thing that previous models have SIP client as settings and dialer.

There will then be a prompt that says the number can't be reached and I should dial again.This makes the entire contact list function worthless as I have to manually enter numbers in order to call them. All contacts seem to be affected.

The camera is much better than my last one but it's doing the same thing when I'm talking to someone. Yesterday I was talking to a buddy and all of the sudden he was on speaker phone and a Facetime call was started. When I hung up I noticed that the keyboard had pressed the 5 button several times too.My question is there a fix for this? Is it hardware or software? I've read both here and the fact that apple gave me a new phone last time I'm thinking it's hardware.

For some reason my voice dialing has changed so that now it looks up contacts in last name first order i.e. if I say john smith it looks for a last name "john" This is a new phenomenon that seemingly has been initiated by the device without intervention from me and I can't seem to get it corrected. the contacts folder is sorted by first name.

Also, I have received txt messages that are at least 2years old. How do I make it stop? I have removed the battery, entered the password 10 imes to get it to wipe the memory. none of this has worked. I want to know how does a blackberry take a number and move it to the speed dial registery without me knowing it? When you delete a number from your contacts, why does it not delete the number from speed dial as well? View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased my first Blackberry, the Bold 9930. I really love it. My previous mobile was an Apple 3GS. The only real thing I miss about the 3GS and find lacking in my new 9930 is the Bold's lack of an onscreen keypad for dialing phone numbers. The Bold's keyboard is great for typing on but is nowhere near as easy to dial phone numbers as my iPhone 3GS was. Adding an onscreen keypad to the Bold, similar to the one on the 9810 would make the Bold much more user friendly. Especially too people coming over from the iPhone or android phones.
