LG G4 :: Audio Pauses Or Dropouts When Playing Podcasts Or Music?
Oct 13, 2015
Noticed short pauses or gaps in sound when playing back any sort of sound file? I'm using Bluetooth headsets of various types like jaybirds, Jabra solemate or jawbone jambox.
I'm using PocketCasts and the media is on the phone for that. Also using doubletwist and it's media is on SD.
Took me a long time to notice it because some podcasts aren't the greatest quality. Thing is if I rewind and replay that section it usually plays fine meaning the phone did something wrong.
It isn't 100% consistent, it's about 50% consistent, but, if I plug my Atrix HD into a computer with the USB cable (which I have to do quite often since the battery isn't long-lasting), playing audio stutters about every 15 to 30 seconds. Sometimes the pause/stutter can be for 2 or 3 seconds. However, mostly it's probably only 1/2 second. Regardless, it's disconcerting to listen to music or a podcast and have it pause every few seconds.
My new Z2 D6503 is on .167 (4.4.4 KK) firmware, and when I connect it to my car's bluetooth audio system, sometimes it stutter really bad that I cannot enjoy the music. Â My car is 2014 and it also has the ability to read text messages. So after some investigation, I found a temporary solution to the dropouts:
1) If I just disable throw and reconnect, stuttering still exist. 2) If I just disable BT and re-enable, sometimes it fixes it but sometimes I lose AVRCP (control via car) 3) going into bluetooth setting, and disable MAP (text message), dropouts improved dramatically (from every 10 secs to every 1 mins or so) 4) disabling bluetooth Phone audio (so the only thing left is Bluetooth media audio) completely solves the dropout.
Within the music player on a 5800XM, how can I control the ordering of podcasts when using the Podcasts->By Title search option with the music player...? What this currently does is orders these is the newest first order, where as if you a listening to a radio drama (like me, who listens to the Archers approx twice a week) you want these to be in the oldest first order!
I have just installed the Media Go s/w for my new Experia phone (as I want to use it to play podcasts to replace my aging Zune) Trouble is when I ran the set up of Media Go, it found all my music and podcasts but sees them ALL as music (and has put nothing into the Podcasts menu (LHS panel) and found a way to make them go to the right place?
Also, when I almost gave up and tried to just set them all up again by subscribing to them insode Media Go, the choice is REALLY limited, so is no use either.
Very happy with my Atrix 4G (running 2.3.4) and I've invested in 3 docks: desk, car, and laptop.
I've recently started having problems when using the phone (on battery) playing audio through a bluetooth speaker. This happens with music on the phone with the default Android music player, with Audible's player (for books), and the Pandora music app. Since that's a mix of local and remote (WiFi) content it can't be a WiFi problem.
The problem does not occur when the phone is powered (via the car or laptop dock).
I've searched high and low for an auto app shutdown setting, but can't find it. BTW, Battery Mode is Performance.
I have a non jailbroken iPhone 5c currently updated to IOS 7.1.1. Before, my iPhone was working perfectly fine. Now, any audio I play will play for a bit and then randomly pause (this is in any audio app, ex: YouTube, Soundcloud, iTube, etc.) but it's even worse in iTunes. When I play music via iTunes, it skips around like crazy and just completely jumps from song to song. I don't even have to touch my phone. It literally feels like my phone is possessed. Siri has also been going off on its own without me touching anything. I've tried closing my apps down, playing with the settings, turning my phone off, and doing a hard reset.
I recently have come across an issue when playing music.
Doesn't matter if the music is on the internal / sd card / streaming.
It appears that this happens when ever I am downloading updates/installing or getting a gps lock or if the phone starts doing something in the background.
This is a fairly new issue as the music will start to drop out during playback (0.5 seconds or so) and will continue until the phone stops doing whatever it's doing ion the background.
In LGs music app and Google play music it just pauses itself? No Bluetooth just speaker. No other apps running while this happens and no notifications stopping it.
My iPhone 5c has me really stumped. When I play the music I have downloaded on my phone using the Music App, it randomly pauses and then starts again. I restored it myself, it still did it. I took it to the Apple Store, they restored it, it still did it. I took it back to the Apple Store, they gave me a new phone, and the new phone did it too, right away. I contacted Apple Support via chat and they suggested it might be the backup I'm using. So I restored the new phone and backed it up from my computer instead of my iCloud. It worked fine for about five days.Â
Now, it's start randomly pausing and playing again. I contacted Apple Support again and they suggested I restore the phone and set it up as a new phone. I'm afraid I'll do this and the problem still won't be fixed and I'll have lost everything on my phone for nothing. This morning, the first time it randomly paused was when I got a text message while listening to music. I don't know if this provides any insight. I don't know if this is an iOS issue or what. I just don't know what to do
I have an issue when using my Musicplayer app. When I either turning up or down the Volume the player pauses the Music. Sometimes it starts by itself again after for example 30 sec. Otherwise I have to go to the musicplayer and push the play button again.
Anyone else having a problem with their music pausing at the end of a song? It seems to happen pretty randomly - when a track finishes, the player will just pause instead of playing the next track. It also happens sometimes when I hit the next track button. Not always the first time - could be after having skipped a few tracks, the player will just go to pause.
I use Stitcher for podcasts and on my new Turbo I'm having an issue where it will start playing as soon as the screen turns off. As long as the app is open, as soon as the screen goes off, a podcast starts playing.
I am encountering some trouble when usign mix radio in offline mode. More precisely I have a Mix downloaded to the device. After each song, music pauses and I have to resume manually. I do not know if disabling the mobile internet connection does help, but when at home on WiFi, the problem does not occur. I.e. I have the impression that offline mix radio with mobile internet enabled has open issues.
My iPhone 4S sometimes stops playing music by itself while I am playing music. This occurs while my phone is on standby/locked mode; that is I am not using any apps.
Okay, I have looked everywhere for this. The HTC Music app has a dropdown for 'Podcasts' but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get any on there and showing in this section. I CAN get podasts using DoubleTwist or other software, but not the HTC Music app itself. But why would they have a Podcast drop-down section if you cannot add them?
There isn't a specific forum for this in the iOS Apps category so I am putting it here.I just downloaded the new Apple Podcasts app to my iPhone 4S.[URL]I have figured out how to find and subscribe to the podcasts I normally listen to but I am not sure how to get the podcasts to download over wifi so I can listen to them later.Don't want to burn up my data plan streaming podcasts when I'm on the road. The description says that you can do this, "Stream episodes or download to listen while offline" but I am not sure if it is happening. There is no visual clue to let me know that the casts are downloading or not.Do I just need to be patient? Or am I doing something wrong.
I got a new, shiny Nokia 5730 XM two days ago and there have been no other problems with it other than the Music Player. Everytime i go on the music player, it automatically searches for Music and Podcasts. It searches for so long (10 mins) that I go and hit the red 'end call' button to end the app with it still in the background. And when I go back to the music player, it freezes.
Is there a way to move my Podcasts (and create a seperate playlist) to the Music App? I would like to listen to Podcasts through my GPS app, MotionX, which only plays the Music App.Â
Any work around for this? I am using IO 7, iPhone 5S, and iTunes 11.1.5.5Â
I used to download several podcasts directly to my iPhone 4S each morning through iTunes and play them using the iPhone music player later in the day. Last week I noticed the download icons in iTunes changed (software update maybe?). The podcasts still download in iTunes but they no longer appear in the music player app (the old episodes are still there in the podcast menu). I can still play the new podcasts in iTunes but it does not automatically go to the next file when one ends like the music player does. This is annoying when listening to multiple shorter files. Also, I am concerned iTunes will not play the episodes if it can't connect to the server. Tested this out in airplane mode and it would not even let me access the iTunes podcasts despite supposedly being "downloaded". My mobile reception is poor in the office and there are times accessing iTunes is very slow or impossible. There are also times when I listen to them while in the car on trips through areas with little or no mobile data service.
TL;DR: iTunes podcast downloads used to show up in iPhone music player. Now they don't.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, All other apps most current version
i can play divx movies in my x3-02, but there is no audio. i have tested it to all divx movies that i have here. when i play Internet videos, it doesn't have any problems though. my problem is only when playing divx.
There is a specific audio video file, in which the video is getting played on Xperia Z2, but there is no sound. I have tried the default Video player and also the MX Player. The format is as below. Is the Audio Codec is not supported on Xperia - Z2: Â Format : AVC Container: Matroska (mkv) Resolution: 1920 x 816 Frame Rate: 23.976 fps Aspect Ratio : 2.35 Video Codec: X.264 Audio Codec: DTS-HD. [MA/Core} 6ch @ 1510 Kbps
Is there any way to have my "plain" bluetooth headset that is NOT A2DP stereo to playback music etc? Basically I want to listed to podcasts & books so I don't care about music or stereo. My BB Bold used to do it. My iPhone 3Gs is jailbroken.
The other day I was listening to a partically downloaded podcast (poor service) on my 4S when suddenly the sound stopped (external speakers). I assumed it had come to the end of what had downloaded so far but now any music and podcasts I listen to are muffled (like they have too much bass) and they stop and start when I use the external speakers. The sound quality before was so good! Playback is fine when I use the headphone jack. I installed all updates and restored the phone, but to no avail.
i have noticed recently that after i receive a video or txt msg with sound that after i view the msg and get a call or use my ptt and hang up it plays the sound from the msg. it stops after i do a restart but what cases it?
I put my phone on silent and locked it. It then started playing unknown audio of some american man speaking ( it sounded like a cheesy advert) extremely loudly , and it wouldnt stop or switch off in the conventional way. I then took the battery out and it stopped. I have taken the battery out again since I do not want it to start going off while i am in work but obviously I don't want to have to do it all the time. Any ideas what happened. At the time my Wifi and 3G were on but not bluetooth. It's a Blackberry Torch 9800 and i've never had any problems before. Its worht saying that after turning it on and leaving the office to see if i could work out what was wrong with it, it didn't do it again, and i went into every folder/app and nothing out of the blue happened.
