(understandable) leaves a blank voice message. The provider dials my cellphone (innocently claiming that there is a new voice message. When I listen ,it is just blank . This has been occurring maybe 20 times a day since I refilled the prepay sim card last week.
View 2 RepliesI am having trouble trying to use the Voice Dialing feature on my phone.It used to work fine, but now any time I try to access the Voice Dialing, it goes to to the Voice Dialing screen, and it starts Initializing/syncing, but it just backs out back to the main screen.I've tried using convenience keys and the touch screen to access Voice Dialing.Nothing works.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a new BlackBerry Storm 9530, running software release 5. The voice dialing is not working well at all. It seems to only recognize my Contact entries if I say them last name first. Besides the fact that I don't naturally think to talk this way, it's not always obvious how to say contacts that are not normal names, such as the name of a business.
The voice dialing on my old Storm (which I had to replace for other problems) allowed me to speak FN, LN, and recognized most names accurately, so I feel there must be some setting that I need to make.
I have a 4 day old BlackBerry Storm 9530 and so far I love it. But I have an issue with the voice dialing and am wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if there is a fix.
When I activate voice commands everything works from the bluetooth, but about 50% of the time when I use voice commands to call someone, I will get to the point where the phone and I confirm the selection(name) to call and it will say(and show on the BlackBerry screen) for example: "Susan Home Calling..." And the blackberry will stay on that screen, not connecting to anyone if I press any key it will bring me right back to the "home" screen on the BB, no making any calls.
Also, I am noticing some dust specs under the top left corner of my touchscreen, I know its underneath the screen because I can tell, and I am very OCD about wiping off my screen and keeping my phone immaculately clean..
I am somewhat saddened by the fact that such a well known and highly respected device doesn't in fact have an 'airtight' screen, and lets dust underneath, especially after only four days, in a clean house and never even in a pocket..
Today the dialing features on my relatively new (summer 2009) Storm started going strange. When in the phone dialing screen, if I press and hold a number key with an associated speed dial number, the phone would dial another number elsewhere on the speed dial list (e.g. press and hold "3" made the phone speed dial the phone number assigned to "5"). After removing and replacing the battery and rebooting, the trouble didn't clear.In fact, things got stranger. The phone would not dial voicemail when the "1" key was held down (even though the speed dial list still listed the correct number, etc.) When I cleared and tried to refill my speed dial list, no number keys on the keypad would make the speed dial spring into action. But, pressing and holding the "3" key did make the phone ask if I wished to assign a speed dial to the number "5" as though that were the key I'd been pressing.Suggestions?
View 6 Replies View RelatedHas anyone purchased the Jabra CRUISER and actually got it to work with Voice Commands on the Storm II 9550? I can answer calls but it will not respond to placing a voice command. I receive no "Say a command" prompt.
Any replies would be appreciated as I am on the second one and I do not think it's the Jabra now...The Jabra CRUISER does support Voice Dialing
New user here. I am on my second Verizon Storm2 (in one month) with same issue. After dialing Verizon *611 or when calling voicemail, the number keypad is disabled and the numbers are gone or moved to different locations so I can not enter PIN. I am sure it is a software issue. Tried a hard reset with no luck. VZ authorized retailer believes he can fix this problem by wiping clean and reinstalling one app at a time. Has anyone else had same problem and any luck with a fix?

I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.

I am able to put the SIP settings, also I am able to register on the SIP server (the provider), but I do not have the IP Tel to do dialing using SIP. What is the solution? Fring, Nimbuzz and other 3rd party product: these days they require to use their own service, and they are not open for generic service to be used, also they have a bad quality.
I would to use the Nokia Built in, which is very good and it support g729 codec. So what is the advise to resolve this issue for N97? The fun thing that previous models have SIP client as settings and dialer.
Out of the blue, my phone has started adding +31 before all calls that I make using my contacts list.I'll select a contact that shows the number as "789-789-7890" and when it dials, it will show "+317897897890." There will then be a prompt that says the number can't be reached and I should dial again.This makes the entire contact list function worthless as I have to manually enter numbers in order to call them. All contacts seem to be affected.

The camera is much better than my last one but it's doing the same thing when I'm talking to someone. Yesterday I was talking to a buddy and all of the sudden he was on speaker phone and a Facetime call was started. When I hung up I noticed that the keyboard had pressed the 5 button several times too.My question is there a fix for this? Is it hardware or software? I've read both here and the fact that apple gave me a new phone last time I'm thinking it's hardware.

For some reason my voice dialing has changed so that now it looks up contacts in last name first order i.e. if I say john smith it looks for a last name "john" This is a new phenomenon that seemingly has been initiated by the device without intervention from me and I can't seem to get it corrected. the contacts folder is sorted by first name.

Also, I have received txt messages that are at least 2years old. How do I make it stop? I have removed the battery, entered the password 10 imes to get it to wipe the memory. none of this has worked. I want to know how does a blackberry take a number and move it to the speed dial registery without me knowing it? When you delete a number from your contacts, why does it not delete the number from speed dial as well? View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased my first Blackberry, the Bold 9930. I really love it. My previous mobile was an Apple 3GS. The only real thing I miss about the 3GS and find lacking in my new 9930 is the Bold's lack of an onscreen keypad for dialing phone numbers. The Bold's keyboard is great for typing on but is nowhere near as easy to dial phone numbers as my iPhone 3GS was. Adding an onscreen keypad to the Bold, similar to the one on the 9810 would make the Bold much more user friendly. Especially too people coming over from the iPhone or android phones.

While messaging my friend on the Android system messager, I was talking to another friend on Viber. So, since I don't have a bluetooth or headset, I would periodically bring the phone down from my ear and respond to the message. The problem is, if I was still on the message screen and brought the phone back up to my ear to continue talking on Viber, the phone auto dials my friend on the messaging screen. So I accidentally dialed the friend I was messaging several times before I realized what was going on.
