i have just got a reconditioned BB torch after my previous one couldnt be repaired. I have set it up fine, except when I try to log in to BB App world it says it is having trouble connecting to the BB App world server, Verify your network connections and try again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got Googe maps, BTC Mapper, and Endomondo on my phone. They all use GPS to track you, plot where you have been, and save tracks for you to chek out later. They work nice. I use them a lot for walking, running, and bicycling.My question though, is the GPS actually using the GPS satellites in orbit, or is it using triangulation off several cell towers to get my location?If it is using GPS satellites, why is it that if I turn off all connections (Mobile Network Sprint & Wi-Fi), I lose all GPS connections as well? If this device is atually getting signals from the satellites, what difference does it make if I am in a cell coverage area or not?I've read that, yes, the location is retrieved from the satellites, but to plot it on the maps takes the cell connection. If that is the case, is there an app that just logs longitude and latitude every second and stores it in a file that can be dumped to a map at a later time?
The reason I bring all this up is because, later this summer, I plan to go on a 2-week long cruise that will visit about a dozen different Carribean islands and I'd like to track my location. At sea, I won't be able to pick up a cell signal. Will the GPS tracking apps like google, still work? Even if I can't get a cell signal, my GPS should still be able to pick up satellite signals
My iPhone network connections (WiFi/4G) are extermely slow after performing the update to IOS 5.1! Speedtest.Net results over 4G = 0.15 Mpbs down and 0.05 Mpbs up ans that's will FULL bars! AT&T claims that there are no network issues in my area and they are not throttling my device. Even over WiFi it's taking FOREVER to download apps from the app store, etc.

I've been using my iphone's data to connect to the internet on my pc and my ipad for ages. The last few weeks, it kept dropping out and I had to turn personal hotspot off and on again to reconnect. Yesterday however, a new problem arose. I turn the hotspot on and both my pc and my ipad are not even showing my iphone as an option to use as a wireless internet connection. I have reset netowrk settings'' but the problem persists.

Im having an issue with my unlocked Rogers Blackberry Bold that is on the Fido network.I keep getting intermittent connection switching from; 3G, 3g, 2G, 2g, Edge, EDGE, GSM, gsm. you get the idea Im in an area where I have fully coverage, but seems that something is wrong with my BB. Prior to this all was working fine, never a problem til now.I took my sister's sim card [Rogers] and placed into the BB, and it worked fine, was on the EDGE network but didn't drop or anything.Also I am unable to view the "Network Technology" in the Mobile Network Options. What do I do?I ran a diagonistic and here's what i got.

Today I stopped receiving emails and got a message from BB asking me to verify my addresses/PWs through the set up. Problem is each time I put in the details it says 'Username is invalid. A user name must be at least 4 characters.' it's a full email address so is more than 4 characters!

I set up an account through the blackberry but then I couldn't for the life of me remember what password I put on it. So that became a nightmare and I ended up deleting that account and set up a new one through the computer.
Now whenever I try and log into this, like app world to try and get things set up and started - I get the error message "enter the username associate with this smartphone".
So I enter in the new username/password I set up and it doesn't work So of course I did try getting all the blackberry programs set up on my computer and hook the phone up to my computer - but my house is a dead zone for cells - so I can't get it set up because I can't access my 'data plan' in my house.
I've registered my phone, I've taken the battery out all that fun stuff - but it's still not working! This is driving me BONKERS - I can't set up emails, bbm anything because I can't log into my account
We lost our BES serer at work and had to set up a new one. To re-activate my device i was required to wipe it. I am now back on the network, but have lost my internet email account. I go to the setup screen and my 3. Accounts show. I am asked to verify but get the message that 'your session cannot continue'. I cannot re-activate the accounts, or delete them or add new ones.

Now however, I received a message asking my to verify my email address, so in setup, email accounts, there is a list of my accounts. When I type in the password and type verify - I get a message "sorry, unable to continue your session."
Looking online, I've read that I need to register my phone with 02 my service provider. So, when I go to the correct page and enter my pin and IMEI for my phone I receive another message "Your account is not accessible via the HTML browser..." Again, looking online this is due to my phone automatically registering.
I have seen that you can change this in the same email account option where you add emails, but, when I click on the email account option like mentioned before, it presents me with a list on my emails to verify but no other options. I don't know what I need to do now to start my emails coming through again.
"Just got my Blackberry Torch 9810 and I can't connect to AT&T's Network! I get an error saying that there is insufficent network coverage and yet when my girlfriend tries on her Pantech Impact, sitting right next to me, she has no problem. I'm able to make and receive calls and I have 3 bars showing in the signal strength indicator.
I just asked this question over on the AT&T Blackberry Forum but I haven't got a response yet so I thought I would ask it here too.
Since then, I called AT&T for help and they told me that it is probably because when I received my phone I should've left the new SIM card in it and activated it, rather than just popping in my old SIM card, is this true? In the past, I think I've just inserted my old SIM Card and everything worked as it should without performing a new activation.
I got a new 9810 in April 2012.Very happy with all the features of the phone EXPECT it keeps loosing network. I submitted it for repairs and was issued a New phone. Exactly the same problem- had the new phone for a week.I have tried Automatic & Manual Network selection, both 3G & 2G.I have updated the software and not installed any themes. It can't be a Network issue as i used my old curve without problem while I waited for my new phone from Vodacom.

I have tried the solution above, i get a text mesg/ SMS message saying your device has been registered with the network.....but when i go back to email set up , i get the same message again to register via the routing table.
My handset was originally a verizon wireless handset, i'm now using it on O2 (UK) , I've had O2 trying to sort this issue out for more than a week now to no avail.They have check my IMEI/ PIN which turned out to be all ok.
Service books are all in order, routing table has about 60 entries(O2 uk seem to think thats normal).
Tried to connect to wifi through my router at home. While the phone listed my home network as a saved network QWD-59989 WPA2 Personal, it fails to connect. I get a message to verify saved network's security settings, but I do not know where to find the settings. Also, what is the passphrase - is it the router key?
