For at least a day now my phone (Torch 9860) doesn't respond to me switching it on. I have tried taking the battery and sim card out and this makes no difference. I have also attempted to connect it to my computer but it fails to recognize its plugged in. Is there a way I can make it work without having to take it in to the shop?
View 1 RepliesAs my Subject line indicates our Blackberry Torch 9810 all of a sudden shut off and won't come back on. Plugged the charger in, took the battery out and put it back in, to no avail. The RED LED (left one on top) keeps flashing, first once, then after a short pause 3 more times and then repeats. I've looked everywhere to find what that sequence means and I can't locate that info anywhere.

I upgraded my AppWorld and rebooted my device, since then its rebooting continuously, I tried after replacing the battery (my friend has a similar phone). Removed the battery for 5hours and tries switching it on. Removed the memory card andtriied everything. Basically the black screen with blackberry logo is turning on, loading till the end and reboots after it loads completely. I don't want to take it to the store any exchange it for a new one, I need THIS phone cuz I have all my data and I have around 120 BBM contacts (I DONT want to lose them).
View 1 Replies View RelatedDid a restore on my 9700 this morning backing it up with my save from Friday. Turned it back on after the restore, no issues, everything worked fine then about 15 mins later the screen went white and had no funcitonality.
i did a battery pull and nothing happens. screen is now totally black, it wont reboot and the LED just flashes red once, pause, then three times? BBDM wont recongnize the device when its connected?
The phone turned off one day and will not tunr back on. When you plug it into a charger the red LED light comes on, followed by 3 short flashes. It wont connect to any comupter. I have taken it to cell phone repair places and neither are able to do anything.

Called t-mobile and send my phone for repairing. Last tuesday I got my X10i back. "part replaced" was the message. It functioned again, acted a bit strange as usual but it functioned. Yesterday I went home from work and I put my X10i in my pocket. When I got home I took the phone out of my pocket and noticed it was turned off... nothing weird because almost everytime I put it in my pocket I have to enter my sim-code when I get it out............ or it is turned off.... But this time it wouldn't turn on.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have the Torch (9800) OS version: 6.0.0.668.I've had it for just over a year without problems but recently it will freeze to the point where I have to do a battery pull because it won't resolve the issue otherwise. Even then sometimes it doesn't come back on. It will slowly flash red (LED light) and the screen will remain black.It's done this twice where it won't turn back on at all. Eventually it does but the last time it did this, it didn't work for 2 days before coming back on (of it's own accord). I updated the software when it finally came back on as I was told it could be a software issue so I now have the OS version stated at the top of this message as opposed to 6.0.0.600.

last night my phone was on 2% and turned off, i didnt think much of it and when i got into bed put it on charge like i normally would..
the screen flashes up for a second or sony with the sony icon but then cuts out and when i have woken up this morning it is still doing this.
i have held the volume up button and the power on buttom, but nothing happens it doesn't even vibrate. I have also pressed the red button at the left hand side of the phone but again this doesn't seem to be doing anything.
I really don't need my phone to flash a red light each time I get email. Can anyone tell me how to change this so that it either doesn't flash at all, or only flashes with text msg or phone call.

The thing is that it flashes with red light only (not counting Wifi green light or Bluetooth connection - blue) when I receive a message. But when I miss any call, there is no flash light reminding me that! Friend of mine has older 9800 and he is getting blue flash light when having missed call. Also the red light reminding me missed incoming message goes off after a while. I would need that to flash until I read the message.

When I plug the USB cable into the computer, I see the BB hard drive for a brief second or two, then it disappears. It will appear briefly again about 20 seconds later, then disappear again. Is the battery shot? Or could there be something else going on? The phone was on the charger all night.

It's my boyfriend's iPhone & we've dropped it plenty of times in the past going on 6 months now, so you can imagine it has plenty of cracks & the back had come off to where we taped it back on. Recently - a few days to a week ago I dropped it & it seemed fine until I tried taking a picture of our cats and the camera opened to a black screen. Everything else works fine except the speaker when we call out we have to put it on speaker for someone to hear us - already tried cleaning out all the ports. I don't want him to go to the iPhone store and have them complain about all the issues wrong with the phone and go extreme bill on him either. Yes I have tried restarting his phone, I just don't want to completely reboot it when it's under his mom's account & her iCloud. & The front facing camera works.

Last week I restored my iphone 5 and I also updated it, it worked normally but the only problem was that battery was dying pretty fast. After charging it I turned it off and after a day when I tried to turn it on again it just didn't want to do that. I thought that battery died, I tried to charge it but there was no signs of charging, I tried turning it on, even pressed home button and power button but nothing was appearing, it was completely dead. Earlier I took it to this store and tried to change the charger and also to check if it was the battery but even after that phone stayed dead. I don't know what could be the problem. I tried everything.
