I really don't need my phone to flash a red light each time I get email. Can anyone tell me how to change this so that it either doesn't flash at all, or only flashes with text msg or phone call.
View 3 RepliesAs my Subject line indicates our Blackberry Torch 9810 all of a sudden shut off and won't come back on. Plugged the charger in, took the battery out and put it back in, to no avail. The RED LED (left one on top) keeps flashing, first once, then after a short pause 3 more times and then repeats. I've looked everywhere to find what that sequence means and I can't locate that info anywhere.

I have also attempted to connect it to my computer but it fails to recognize its plugged in. Is there a way I can make it work without having to take it in to the shop?

The thing is that it flashes with red light only (not counting Wifi green light or Bluetooth connection - blue) when I receive a message. But when I miss any call, there is no flash light reminding me that! Friend of mine has older 9800 and he is getting blue flash light when having missed call. Also the red light reminding me missed incoming message goes off after a while. I would need that to flash until I read the message.

Turned it back on after the restore, no issues, everything worked fine then about 15 mins later the screen went white and had no functionality. i did a battery pull and nothing happens. screen is now totally black, it wont reboot and the LED just flashes red once, pause, then three times? Some time ago I apparently set my iphone to flash the strobe so I'd know a message had arrived when I was in a meeting with the phone set to silent. Since then I've decided the feature is too annoying and obnoxious so I went to switch this "feature" off. But I no longer see any option in the settings to change this back. What am I overlooking, I know it's probably right in front of me but for whatever reason I don't see it.

I pulled out the battery and that's when the flashing started I thought pulling the battery out again would work but it hasn't stopped it flashes several times stops and flashes again a min later. View 4 Replies View Related2 weeks ago i picked up a used BB 8310 off freecycle, the woman had upgraded and didnt need it so she wanted to give it away. Score!. I finally got around to ordering a new battery for it because she kept the one it came with, and the battery showed up saturday.I put the new battery in the phone turned it on and nothing. So i plugged it into the wall charger and all i got was the red LED for 2-5 seconds and then nothing. does the same thing when you plug it into the USB.Is this a bad battery or is the phone a total loss? im sad because i was so excited to use my new phone and i still cant.
