BB Curve :: Not Turning On Except The Red LED Flashes
Jan 7, 2012My blackberry doesn't turn on,in the night I switched it off, this morning the only thing that works is the red led that turns off in a few seconds.

May 16, 20102 weeks ago i picked up a used BB 8310 off freecycle, the woman had upgraded and didnt need it so she wanted to give it away. Score!. I finally got around to ordering a new battery for it because she kept the one it came with, and the battery showed up saturday.I put the new battery in the phone turned it on and nothing. So i plugged it into the wall charger and all i got was the red LED for 2-5 seconds and then nothing. does the same thing when you plug it into the USB.Is this a bad battery or is the phone a total loss? im sad because i was so excited to use my new phone and i still cant.

Jul 23, 2010I was on my way home on the train and running low on batteries, but thought i had enough to quickly browse the applications.I'd installed the free Time app earlier that day and checked it out, and it wasnt really to my taste, so I decided to delete the app. It warned me the blackberry would need to restart which was fine, only it turned off and didnt come back on.I thought it had just ran out of battery but now after four hours of charging, and plugging it to my PC the blackberry still wont start. My laptop wont even recognise its plugged into anything and every button I press just gets the flashing red light.

Jul 26, 2011my sons blackberry curve wont turn on but the red light flashes twice then waits a few seconds and it flashes ahain . he has only had the phone a few months , also when i plug it into the blackberry desktop manager it doesnt reconise the devise and neither will it charge up , i hve changed the battrie and its still the same

May 17, 2010Did a restore on my 9700 this morning backing it up with my save from Friday. Turned it back on after the restore, no issues, everything worked fine then about 15 mins later the screen went white and had no functionality. i did a battery pull and nothing happens. screen is now totally black, it wont reboot and the LED just flashes red once, pause, then three times? BBDM wont recognize the device when its connected?

Jan 15, 2012As my Subject line indicates our Blackberry Torch 9810 all of a sudden shut off and won't come back on. Plugged the charger in, took the battery out and put it back in, to no avail. The RED LED (left one on top) keeps flashing, first once, then after a short pause 3 more times and then repeats. I've looked everywhere to find what that sequence means and I can't locate that info anywhere.

Unfortunately, I was on a trip and when I followed the directions at home it was to no avail. My phone is still flashing (which I might add is not a pleasant way to wake up).

May 29, 2012Some time ago I apparently set my iphone to flash the strobe so I'd know a message had arrived when I was in a meeting with the phone set to silent. Since then I've decided the feature is too annoying and obnoxious so I went to switch this "feature" off. But I no longer see any option in the settings to change this back. What am I overlooking, I know it's probably right in front of me but for whatever reason I don't see it.

Mar 15, 2010I have the blackberry bold 9700 the LED light to alert you of messages etc. Will not stop flashing. I pulled out the battery and that's when the flashing started I thought pulling the battery out again would work but it hasn't stopped it flashes several times stops and flashes again a min later. Feb 23, 2010Similar posts out here and can't find an answer: I have a BB Bold that was working fine today. Since 5:30 ET, it has gone to a black screen. When plugged in, the led light blinks 4 times, pauses, blinks 4 times, pauses, and so on. This blinking pattern has continued for hours. I unplugged and removed thte battery, and then returned the battery to the phone and plugged it in again with no improvement. The phone will not turn on and continues to blink as described. There has been no drop or moisture damage to the unit. Any ideas as to what is going on?

Dec 14, 2011The phone turned off one day and will not tunr back on. When you plug it into a charger the red LED light comes on, followed by 3 short flashes. It wont connect to any comupter. I have taken it to cell phone repair places and neither are able to do anything.

Tryed plugging it into a wall charger and laptop usb cable to charge, but each time the red time stay constant for about a minute and then it changes to flashing four times quickly then a short pause and then flashing four times again (and it just repeats this over and over again.)
