As my Subject line indicates our Blackberry Torch 9810 all of a sudden shut off and won't come back on. Plugged the charger in, took the battery out and put it back in, to no avail. The RED LED (left one on top) keeps flashing, first once, then after a short pause 3 more times and then repeats. I've looked everywhere to find what that sequence means and I can't locate that info anywhere.
View 3 RepliesI am currently not able to find any LED light settings on my 9810. The thing is that it flashes with red light only (not counting Wifi green light or Bluetooth connection - blue) when I receive a message. But when I miss any call, there is no flash light reminding me that! Friend of mine has older 9800 and he is getting blue flash light when having missed call. Also the red light reminding me missed incoming message goes off after a while. I would need that to flash until I read the message.

I have also attempted to connect it to my computer but it fails to recognize its plugged in. Is there a way I can make it work without having to take it in to the shop?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Torch was in the process of rebooting to save a deleted program. I had it hooked up to a charger (on the wall, not USB). It crashed twice while booting up, and on the third try the boot-up progress bar stopped 2/3 of the way across the screen and never moved. Then I got a message saying "Error 102, Reload Software." I downloaded Desktop Manager (version 2.3) for my Macbook, but the program wouldn't recognize my BB when it was hooked up with the USB. I tried pulling out the battery, changing USB ports, reinstalling Desktop Manager.

View 7 Replies View Relatedopying contacts from a Bold 9810 to another 9810.Using the BB Desktop Software I did a full backup of the device (which contained 400+ contacts), then did a full restore on a new 9810, but only 200 contacts were copied over.Next I tried to do a selective restore, but although the 400+ contacts were in the file, it was grayed out and could not be selected. How can I get all the contacts into the new 9810. (Side note: I was able to restore the 400+ contacts to a BB Bold).
View 1 Replies View RelatedDid a restore on my 9700 this morning backing it up with my save from Friday. Turned it back on after the restore, no issues, everything worked fine then about 15 mins later the screen went white and had no funcitonality.
i did a battery pull and nothing happens. screen is now totally black, it wont reboot and the LED just flashes red once, pause, then three times? BBDM wont recongnize the device when its connected?
The phone turned off one day and will not tunr back on. When you plug it into a charger the red LED light comes on, followed by 3 short flashes. It wont connect to any comupter. I have taken it to cell phone repair places and neither are able to do anything.

Called t-mobile and send my phone for repairing. Last tuesday I got my X10i back. "part replaced" was the message. It functioned again, acted a bit strange as usual but it functioned. Yesterday I went home from work and I put my X10i in my pocket. When I got home I took the phone out of my pocket and noticed it was turned off... nothing weird because almost everytime I put it in my pocket I have to enter my sim-code when I get it out............ or it is turned off.... last night my phone was on 2% and turned off, i didnt think much of it and when i got into bed put it on charge like i normally would..
the screen flashes up for a second or sony with the sony icon but then cuts out and when i have woken up this morning it is still doing this.
i have held the volume up button and the power on buttom, but nothing happens it doesn't even vibrate. I have also pressed the red button at the left hand side of the phone but again this doesn't seem to be doing anything.
I really don't need my phone to flash a red light each time I get email. Can anyone tell me how to change this so that it either doesn't flash at all, or only flashes with text msg or phone call.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry 8230 that won't turn on. When the battery is charged, the red light flashes very slowly (about 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off). When I plug the USB cable into the computer, I see the BB hard drive for a brief second or two, then it disappears. It will appear briefly again about 20 seconds later, then disappear again. Is the battery shot? Or could there be something else going on? The phone was on the charger all night.

There is a Reset button below that and when I press it, it just tries to restart my blackberry. It will load to a certain point and then come back to this Error message. I went to the website it suggests and it tells me to go onto my Blackberry Desktop Manager and reload my software. I tried to do this, but my Desktop Manager and my smart phone will not connect and so I can't reload my software.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI was so excited to have a Blackberry device and my choice was the Torch 9810 mainly for 3 reasons.
1- The big screen.
2- The touch screen with the sliding keyboard.
3- Latest OS.
As I watched and read so many reviews about it and compared it to the Bold 9900 and the Torch 9860. The reviews for the Torch 9860 were somehow negative, and the sliding keyboard was a win over the Torch 9860. Bold seemed to be a good phone but the bigger screen was again what made me go for the Torch 9810.
For a new Blackberry user like me, I couldn't really figure out much differences between the three phones.
Unfortunately the Torch 9810 is not yet here in Egyptian market and I was about to buy a Bold 9900 till I noticed it would be locked to my carrier and then I changed my mind. I asked a family member to buy the Torch 9810 for me from the UAE and I finally got it one week ago.
