Aug 24, 2010On our blog, we have received feedback about people not being able to make VoIP calls on the Samsung Galaxy S phones due to mic or audio problems. With Nimbuzz or Skype using Nimbuzz. (version Nimbuzz 2.0 for Android) Either way, they can't hear the person or the person on the other side can't hear anything. You can read some more details here - under the comments section. As you can see, we are trying to gather as much information as possible in order to figure out and solve any issue. But, I wanted to ask if anyone has experienced similar problems with any of the new Samsung Galaxy S devices? Have you been able to make calls over the internet without any quality, hardware or software issues?

Jan 31, 2016A few of German S6 users who own a T-Mobile contract are a little bit in trouble. Since T-Mobile has activated VoLTE it is only possible to use this feature with a branded S6. So we tried a lot of things to change the CSC.
Flash the 4 parts firmware first then do factory reset and so one, but finally we get only DDE (this is Congstar without the possibility to activate VoLTE)
How to modify the CSC and extract the DDE files so that we flash only DTM.

I have it set to always ask before connecting to the internet because I dont want to run up huge bills but I often fint it has reverted to connect when required ! Jun 9, 2010I got a new MacBook Pro several months ago.Up until now, I've always synched my iPhone up with my work computer (PC). My work PC has all of my backups currently on it (with apps, photos, contacts, etc), and I've never attempted connecting my iPhone to my MBP.I'd like to begin using my MBP as the main synching computer, as my MBP has all of my music on it (2000 or so songs). Problem is...my iPhone currently has no music on it...so I can't just backup my current iPhone on my MBP.
Has anyone experienced this before? Any insight on how to properly transition to the MBP being my main synching source?Is there a way to connect my iPhone...transfer everything on it to the MBP's iTunes (minus music), and then transfer songs to the iPhone?

Jan 3, 2012I've had Blackberries for several years on T-Mobile, and I was always able to set up my mail accounts as either IMAP or POP3. I've switched to Verizon and when I set up my email accounts, they default to IMAP. I own my own domain and both IMAP and POP3 are supported.
I tried deleting my email accounts and setting them up again with an incorrect password so I could enter my own settings. However, I'm not given the option to select POP or IMAP. I prefer POP so that if I delete a message on my handlheld it will also be deleted from the server.

HTC One M7 :: Changing Icons On Sense
Oct 25, 2013So I've been using Apex launcher and Chrome is my preferred browser. However, I really don't like the Chrome icon and prefer the Sense Internet Icon. On Apex I can edit the Chrome Icon and change it - which I've done.
It only changes the icon in Apex. On my lock-screen, Chrome still has it's original icon. I presume this is because the lock-screen is still on Sense and not controlled by Apex.
Galaxy S6 :: Changing DPI And Using Themes
Jul 8, 2015After flashing 5.1.1 (Xtrestolite) on my S6 I noticed an annoying thing. When changing my dpi to 480 (and also 520) and applying a theme I got a message after rotating my phone to landscape mode (for example in the browser or camera app.
A dialog appeared with the title "Keyboard cover attached" and the message "Unable to apply downloaded themes while the keyboard cover is attached. The default theme will be applied". Pressing ok applies the default samsung theme and the only other option is to rotate the phone back to portrait after which the dialog disappears.
The issue seems to be with the ThemeCenter.apk in the /system/priv-app/ThemeCenter folder, I'll check if I can patch it somehow but in the meantime I have a dirty workaround... after applying the theme you want just rename the 'ThemeCenter.apk' to something like 'ThemeCenter.apk.mod'. Reboot the phone and you can rotate the phone as you wish without getting the msg and the stock theme being applied.
Only downside is you can not apply other themes while having it renamed (read disabled). Going to Themes in settings gives a crash, but at least the theme sticks now. If you wish to change the theme again, just rename the apk back to normal and reboot. Most likely the default theme will be applied again but you can now change it (and after changing, same procedure... rename and reboot).

go into Wi-Fi settings > Advanced Wi-Fi settings > scroll down to MAC address at the bottom and jot that down. reboot phone and look at it again... did it change?
