So I've been using Apex launcher and Chrome is my preferred browser. However, I really don't like the Chrome icon and prefer the Sense Internet Icon. On Apex I can edit the Chrome Icon and change it - which I've done.
It only changes the icon in Apex. On my lock-screen, Chrome still has it's original icon. I presume this is because the lock-screen is still on Sense and not controlled by Apex.
New to Android and Sense 5, but how do you change the icons in the bottom dock with ones not in the dock?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've read a few threads on changing the Icons on the start-up screen, by altering the order that the application appear, and moving them so they are the first appliactions to on the applications screen. But I have Icons that are present on Home screen (desktop) that don't appear as an application on the application screen? Here is my delema: My current theme (VODAFONE WHITE) has the front page menu order of:
Voice Mail
Call Log
Email
Text/Media Messages
Calander
But I want to change the theme... except "Voice Mail" isn't an application and therefore its not a movable application to make it appear on the front screen. I would dearly love a new theme (vodafone white is lame!) but it offers exactly the menu I want..
How do I create "Voice Mail" to be an application so that I can move it to one of the first 5 positions and make it appear on the home screen?
Is there a way to add new icons for application groups? If so, how?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my sensation for over a week now. When I log out of some apps Sense often has to reload and takes around 5 seconds or more. This is happening daily. I have tried force quitting all non-essential apps then starting an app again to see if it still happens, it still does. It can happen with various app, such as maps, location, navigation, Firefox and others. I'm wondering if too much RAM is being used and Sense has to shut down then reload. I am keeping my usage to a minimum and not streaming any radio or so forth.

Lost my Desire HD yesterday, lovely insurance guys over at Geeksquad replaced it with a shiny new one today.I have connected it to my Sense account but it isnt pulling down any of my phone contacts.Did a bit of searching on here and swaw lots of other people having issues with DHD vs Sense and locations etc... not sure if the same issues affect contact sync?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI updated my phone (Incredible S) a couple of days ago to HTC Sense 3.0. I was pretty keen on it and I quite like the animations, however it didn't take me long to realise that it's a battery killer. After charging my phone overnight, I used to go to work and come back in the evening with 70% or more of the battery left. Now after the update, I can barely pull it off with 50% left, and I haven't changed my usage habits at all. I gave up hopes of downgrading back to the previous version, so I'm hoping for an update to HTC Sense 3.5, which from what I read seems to be more efficient.
I'm not really up for changing launcher though so I suppose there's not much I can do apart from that.
I want to purchase this phone but justs wanted to check what version of Sense & android it works on?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my boss' Lumia 1520. Would love to import photos to 1520 and since every photos are categorized in folders, I just copied all the folders to Pictures folder in SD Card.
What happens next is that these photos don't show up in Photos App. I checked the Storage Sense, it said that there is no photos (0KB), and the size of all the folders I have copied before are shown in Other Storage (~4GBs)
What I have tried:
- Format the SD Card using Storage Sense, then put the SD Card inside the phone and connect it to PC, then moved the photos to the phone using USB Connection. Failed.
- Put the SD Card into my Transcend Card Reader, move the photos into the SD Card then put it again into the phone. Failed.
- Renaming the folders in Files App in Lumia, then check the Photos App whether it has shown up in the album section. Failed.
- Renaming the folders in Windows 7, then check the Photos App whether it has shown up in the album section. Failed.
- Fully format the SD Card using Windows 7, and move the photos to the SD Card and put it again into the phone. In progress: formatting the SD Card.
Sometimes when somebody called me while the key lock is active my toucscreen does not sense i can't do anything this situation happens in every 2 or 3 days.I tried v10 and v20 it happens on two firmware
View 25 Replies View RelatedWe had our Fall time change Saturday, and my HTC One M8 failed to adjust for daylight savings. Well, parts of it failed.
The small time display next to the battery meter is correct.
The large time display in the Sense 6 widget is one hour ahead. When the screen is locked, the time is displayed correctly, but when the phone is unlocked, the time is displayed one hour ahead. They're probably two separate widgets? Tap the Sense 6 widget, and the local time on the world clock page is also one hour ahead.
Any way to get the Sense 6 widget to display the correct time?
This is not the same post as the other "hiding icons." I checked. What I was wondering was; is there a way to hide the 8 icons I have showing at the bottom of my screen, until I touch the screen? The idea is when my phone isn't in use I would like the icons to go away. Sort of like a screen saver. It's a BB Storm 2, 9550.

I have deleted it from the applications list and do not see it in the modules list but the icon still shows.I also have icons that have the "Hide" checked but are not really hidden. The icon looks as though it is transparent.

I purchased a Q9C on ebay. The phone is flashed is Sprint ready but the phone is branded ALLTel hence Sprint won't activate the phone. However, I have several old phones I would like to change the ESN of the Q9c with that of my other phone. View 7 Replies View RelatedA few of German S6 users who own a T-Mobile contract are a little bit in trouble. Since T-Mobile has activated VoLTE it is only possible to use this feature with a branded S6. So we tried a lot of things to change the CSC.
Flash the 4 parts firmware first then do factory reset and so one, but finally we get only DDE (this is Congstar without the possibility to activate VoLTE)
How to modify the CSC and extract the DDE files so that we flash only DTM.

why does my C3 -01 keep changing some settings by itself? I have it set to always ask before connecting to the internet because I dont want to run up huge bills but I often fint it has reverted to connect when required ! (I have never knowinyly connected to the internet other than by wifi) I sthere any way I can permanently disable the phones ability to connect via the network?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got a new MacBook Pro several months ago.Up until now, I've always synched my iPhone up with my work computer (PC). My work PC has all of my backups currently on it (with apps, photos, contacts, etc), and I've never attempted connecting my iPhone to my MBP.I'd like to begin using my MBP as the main synching computer, as my MBP has all of my music on it (2000 or so songs). Problem is...my iPhone currently has no music on it...so I can't just backup my current iPhone on my MBP.
Has anyone experienced this before? Any insight on how to properly transition to the MBP being my main synching source?Is there a way to connect my iPhone...transfer everything on it to the MBP's iTunes (minus music), and then transfer songs to the iPhone?
When I leave my iPhone on my desk the signal fluctuates between four bars and one bar throughout the day. it's either one bar or four bars and I don't change the phone at all. what could be causing this?

Aparently, I could not log into the phone, and so the phone is locked with an unknown id and password. So, the only thing the phone could do is to format all the bbm contacts etc, while I really need all the contacts.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had Blackberries for several years on T-Mobile, and I was always able to set up my mail accounts as either IMAP or POP3. I've switched to Verizon and when I set up my email accounts, they default to IMAP. I own my own domain and both IMAP and POP3 are supported.
I tried deleting my email accounts and setting them up again with an incorrect password so I could enter my own settings. However, I'm not given the option to select POP or IMAP. I prefer POP so that if I delete a message on my handlheld it will also be deleted from the server.
