Oct 25, 2011I have purchased my HTC Wildfire about a year ago from Bangladesh. It is made in Taiwan, shipped from Singapore and most probably made for Germany. My system software version is 2.1-update 1. I know 2.2 FOTA is available. Few of my friends have got it during January. But I haven't got any automatically. Even when I check manually, it says "No updates are available". I have tried (1) Soft reset by removing the battery for couple of minutes (2) changing the date forward & backward (3) Factory (hard) reset, (4) Through both mobile network and wi-fi ...but failed.

Aug 24, 2012Yesterday I installed windows 8 Professional X64, but now I'm not able to connect my Htc Wildfire S to my PC. HTC Sync ( v3.2.20 ) says "No device connected" I guess thats because I'm missing the Android Phone drivers. In device manager there is two devices without driver: Android Phone and RNDIS ( USB Tethering ) Device manager is not finding any driver for my phone when I press update driver. I have also installed latest version of Googles SDK manager and installed EXTRAS // Google usb driver package which didn't solve this problem either... Referring to googles help docs ( OEM USB Drivers | Android Developers ) I should download OEM driver from HTC site but there ain't any..

"You need to make sure you are viewing the emails in HTML mode in order for them to display correctly.If they still do not display correctly with html mode on this is either going to be an issue with the blackberry model you are using or the encoding used to read the emails on your device.Our helpdesk emails require Unicode UTF 7 or 8 encoding to be displayed correctly."

Oct 24, 2010I dont know what i have done or deleted improperly but I can no longer get android market to work on my X10 mini pro phone today. I have tried clearing cache and re-starting phone, turning off wi-fi and turning it back on again. when i click on the Market Icon i just get a white screen briefly for under a second and then it goes back to standby/menu screen I cannot get android market at all. I dont really fancy restoring the phone back to factory defaults to get it sorted out, is there any other way I can restore the market can I maybe download it and associated files from the internet somewhere. My phone is updated to 2.1 firmware by the way.

Sep 27, 2011I have been reading a lot of posts on here and all the problems experienced with the Defy and different versions of Android that I am just wondering what really is the best version to use on the Defy that has the least problems?I have seen posts saying that 2.2 is buggy but not as buggy as 2.1. But now I have recently seen a post where the OP is wanting to downgrade from 2.2 I believe back down to 2.1 due to problems.What exactly is the issue, is it the operating system (software) or the actual phone itself (hardware)? Do these different versions of Android work any better on other phones like HTC, Samsung, etc or are there just as many bugs/hangs/freezes?For now I think I'm sticking with 2.1. I like my Defy but I'm not convinced I should buy a Motorola product again unless the Google takeover drastically improves their customer services and product support, especially after-sales.

I dont know why its showing that & not downloading the android version. Should I update the PC companion software also?
