BB Bold 9000 :: Call Failed - Cant Make Or Receive Ingoing Outgoing Calls - Texts But Internet - Email Still Works Fine
Mar 20, 2010i just purchased a replacement bb bold 9000 off ebay (it's an unlocked at&t handset that i bought after my bb bold got stolen... total bummer) and it was working fine all week up until last night when it stopped being able to handle incoming and outgoing calls and texts. The internet and email functions still work which is very peculiar. also some further info, when i put my sim card into another handset (in this case a nokia e65) all my normal call functions work and when i put another sim card in the bold the same thing happens (when i try to make a call it instantly pops up with a call failed warning). another thing is the bold shows full service coverage... currently the bold about shows... v4.6.0.304 (Platform 4.0.0.247) im on australia and for some reason i cant update the os to v5

Jul 23, 2015I had my S4 and I was able to surf the net and have a phone conversation at the same time. Since I recieved and used my S6Edge, no surfing the web and talking on the phone. Why did they do this? I loved being able to do both at the same time.

Apr 29, 2010Im using blackberry 8520 phone from few monthes. But unfortunately time to time my internet going to disconnect status. It says contact service provider when i goingt o use third party applications. BIt dosent correct the issue when i restart my phone either. But when i switch off the phone and replace battey. then wait few seconds and again switch on the phone internet is working fine for some time.Im curious about this issue hence its a intermittentl one. Do you anyone have experiance about this kind of issue.

Sep 7, 2010I recently updated this phone with the 5.0 version via desktop. Installation was successful, kind of. Sending and receiving text, internet, media, etc. all work fine. But whenever I make a call this phone goes off, the little red light blinks and then blackberry logo appears above a loading/buffering bar. Before the update placing calls went on without a hitch.

When I open the Settings application, and click on the option to check for Motorola software update, the following screen is displayed: "Check for update is not available at this time. Try again later." When I am on a Wi-Fi network, a similar message is displayed (no screenshot): "Your device is up to date! No update is necessary at this time." Can somebody please provide more information as to what specifically is causing the message in my screenshot below to appear?

Apr 11, 2011I've only just discovered the E63 and purchased one. The phone seems pretty nifty, not that I need all those bells and whistles. I'm having a problem with the MMS, GPRS / WAP settings for Optus Prepaid. When I popped in my sim card when first turning the phone on, I was automatically sent these 'settings'. I was able to find my way onto the Ovi store and downloaded a few themes, so it must have been working. Now, it won't connect at all, less than two days later.
I've been exploring the phone, but I haven't fiddled with any of the internet settings, nor MMS. I've contacted Optus and awaiting a reply, and have been onto the Zoo website to send myself the settings, but the phone won't recognise them and the settings pop up as a text message that the phone is telling me I cannot open, and there is no option to save them.

Jul 12, 2010I have a question about the way the phone uses its internet services. I currently have the original Blackberry Tour 9630 with Verizon, and the browser works off of my signal. So whenever I have a signal, I have internet. Is this new Bold the same way? My sister has it and we were in the car today and it said internet coverage was not found. I was just curious if it was strictly JUST wifi or if it runs off the signal AND wifi. If somebody could help clear it up for me that would be great.

May 12, 2012I've got a iPhone 4S factory unlocked. It's only a month old. When I put in my simcard it says either "No Service" or ".... TELIA 3G"
When there is no service I can't do anything but sometimes when I put on the flightmode and switch back I can get my carrier name and 3G, but still no phone service. I can go out on the web so the internet connection works but I cant make any calls and so on.
When I try another carrier in the phone, it works just fine! And there is nothing wrong with my simcard, because the card works in my iPhone 4.

Jul 20, 2011I was recently given an unlocked Blackberry Bold 9000. It is an AT&T phone, but I am using it on the T-Mobile network. For some reason, I am able to connect to WiFi, but when I do I am only able to use the internet. I am not able to use the WiFi to make calls or to send texts. My T-Mobile signal is pretty weak, so it would be nice to use the WiFi to make calls and send texts from home and work.

Aug 30, 2014I have an iPhone5 (16GB - 5 GB free space available) and iOS 7.1.1. A couple of days back my apps stopped connecting to Internet. Both 3G network and WiFi connections work as google app and chrome browser connect to internet. Everything else doesn't including safari, mail, whatsapp. Notifications for almost every app work.Â
I tried the following:
1. I Restarted almost everything: router, iphone, iphone with both Home and Power switches held together.
2. I tried upgrading to 7.1.2 but I kept getting s/w is unavailable at this time error. I tried removing the downloaded software. Now I get unable to check for update (not connected to internet) error.
3. I connected to PC and upgraded iTunes to latest version, but can't figure out how to make anything, that's not working, work
4. Also, I tried removing apps that I sparingly use.

Jun 29, 2015- My s6 Egde connects to wifi but no Internet connectivity, while 3G works without any issues.
- No problem from the Wifi end because I've another phone and it connects just fine over wifi.
- Plus, I have to actually turn off the Mobile Data so wifi can even connect (still no Internet though).
- When Mobile Data is on, Wifi says "Ready to connect when network quality improves" but as mentioned before, no problem with wifi.
