I have bought a BlackBerry Tourch from South Africa and tried to use in in the United Arab Emirates. At first it was working just fine, but then I tried to install the Arabic language through the Desktop Manager; the installation process stopped and the phone is not working any more!
I am adding a line to my account for my grandpa, he isn't too fluent in English so I wanted to see which if any TMO Samsung sliders or flip phones I could install a russian language pack? I know you could do it with Motorola phones like a RAZR or V8 but Samsungs have big keypads and big displays so I need to stick to a Samsung.
Today I decided to install the latest maps available in ovi suite. When I install them I get an error "disc C full", it wants me to remove files to make space available. The thing is, that I now have 20.9MB of free memory there, so I doubt that it can really be insufficient. I think it's rather a bug. I would normally deinstall previous version and install the new one, but since I need this navigation, I can't risk that after deinstalling old one new program won't install anyways. So, any suggestions on what to do? There's nothing left to remove from phone memory.
Can anyone offer some advice that might allow me to re-install Ovi Maps on my N78. It was working fine until yesterday when I tried to install version 3.03 to get free drive and walk navigation. OK - I know the N78 is not listed as a supported device but I thought it was worth a crack. At the end of the day I have no functioning maps on the phone. I have downloaded the correct Ovi Maps 3.01 for my phone (nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.2_lm_rom.SIS) but when I try to run this (by double clicking file on PC with phone connected in PC Suite mode) it does not work. I get an error message on the phone to say the file is not supported and a message on the PC saying N78 does not support SIS files. My next attempt was to restore using Ovi Suite to a backup I did yesterday before I started to play with it. This has not worked.Any ideas? Do I need to try an earlier version of Nokia or Ovi maps? Phone is updated with latest software version 30.011.
I'm constantly getting "certicicate error. Please contact application supplier" when trying to install Nokia Maps 3.03 on my E63. I tried the following: # set date to 2008 # set software installation settings to "all" # set online certificate check to "off" All this didn't help. Does any one have any idea what can be done about this? tried to find out what firmware is installed but didn't figure out how to find this info. But there should be a way to install Nokia maps here.
I've got Ovi Suite 3.1.1.75 and I'm trying to install Map MyTracks app on E66. I installed a signed version, but somehow it was seen on the phone as an unsigned one. So I removed it and tried to install it directly via the phone but I got an error ("Installaton failed" or something like that). So I tried to install it again via Ovi Suite, but now Im getting error code 300.

whenever i download and install applications from ovistore it doesn't continue and ends up as error. and when i tried to sync again my phone to nokia acount (the one where nokia sends link to your phone to sync it) i never receive the message. the instruction in the manual syncing doesn't seem so helpful as i can't find the "To create the profile, select "Menu", then "Connect", then "Sync" part.
Once i click 'update now', it allows me to agree to terms and conditions, but once i select 'agree' it comes up with, "Unable to install update, An error occurred installing iOS 8.1.1". this happens every time i try to update.
I have tried in excess of 10 times to install Nokia Ovi Suite on my PC.I have visited this site and tried all of the suggestions, removing existing software, restarting, redownloading the newest version of NOS and installing to no avail. The error message I get every time is:
I tried to install Ovi maps 3.03 but during the installation, it says there's not enough memory and it asks me to delete something from the C:. But I didn't really put much in C: and I don't know what I can delete without affecting the system. So, when I open "Maps" now, the old version still pops out (it says 3.01 when I click into "About"),but apparently the installer in the PC suite thinks I have 3.03 already. What should I do?
i'm continously getting a 'system error' message whenever i try to install some apps, such as nokia battery monitor, Internet downloader and fmobi. this occurence only began recently after updating to symbian anna. i've installed many other apps and can still install other apps but i seem to have a problem with a select few. i have attempted to uninstall and reinstall the apps and also done a delete and restore after backup but still no change.

I recently upgraded ACT 2005 to ACT 2010, along with getting a new server and firewall. Once the new server and firewall were up and running, I needed a new user profile on my PC. After doing this, I can no longer sync my Blackberry Tour. Desktop Manager recognizes the device, but every time I hit the sync button I get an "unknown error" message.
Every time I try to install a java application on my wife's k800i I get the message 'operation failed'. I am sure I am doing things correctly because I do the same thing with my c902 and it works fine. Any ideas?
I can download the software but when I want to install it, it refuses. Always get the info:Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library and than Program: C:.. This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
I have tried to install 2 different games: Fieldrunners & Need for Speed Shift and I get the error can't load since out of memory? I don't have that many games (8-10?) and have plenty of memory. This is much less than I had installed on my HTC TB & Droid X and had no issues.
