Mar 17, 2011My wifi doesn't work ( i cant surf) with data services off. and if i keep data services on that is if my blackberry services..and surf the webpages ..my balance gets decducted..but i have unlimited blackberry plan. and on the first place my balance shouldnt be deducted because i am using my wifi ( in case my page gets open through wifif not blackberry services) and if i am using my balckberry internet either way my balances shouldnt get decducted.

May 10, 2012Just switched from a bold 9700 to bold 9900. Our mobile signal is extremely limited since we're out in the country so wifi is essential here.On my 9700, wifi worked perfectly with all applications but that doesn't appear to be the case with the bold 9900. Several apps are extremely slow or don't work at all. I think the reason for this is the 9900 isn't using wifi for some apps. I believe some apps are using wifi such as the browser and facebook but app world, google maps, scoremobile, whatsapp and tunein radio to name a few don't appear to be using wifi at all.

I can connect to wifi hotspots but I can't access the internet at all it is always "unable to connect to the internet" What should I do to get this to work? Jul 3, 2010Had issues for a couple weeks now and basically now WiFi connection is useless for it. Tried resetting the router, cleaned the sim, checked net speeds, closed apps etc and have a constant problem. One of the reasons I got the Z5 was the remote play for the PS4 and I think I've been able to use it twice. Every other time states connection too low. Can't watch YouTube on it states connection error. Can't even WhatsApp half the time.

Aug 10, 2011The only time I was successful in getting WIFI to work was connecting to the OPEN connection at a Lexus Dealership. I've tried numerous times to connect to my home wireless network without success. It shows connected, but there is absolutely no Intenet. This is inexcusable for such a prominent technology company as Motorola! In my view, I believe that Motorola has omitted the WEP key or WPA key in their WIFI set-up. Does anyone else agree to that assessment? I have an electronic engineering degree and have been involved with technology since I was in high school and I would think that Motorola would answer this problem with a software update. I am sure it affects all of their smartphones with supposed WIFI capability. Other than the WIFI issue it is a great smartphone even without 4G!

Nov 21, 2011I have a few problems with the Atrix 2 and curious if others see these things.First...I really like this phone. I like the size, the weight, the speed, the apps, etc. was annoying enough that I decided to use my bluetooth headset. The sound improved immeasurably by doing that. But, I noticed that while at work, listening to music, that I couldn't turn on wifi while I had bluetooth engaged. The music would haltingly play, like a skipping disk, until, finally, after about 30 seconds it stops altogether. As soon as I turned off wifi, the bluetooth playing would reengage where it left off and play perfectly.I also notice that with the plugged in mic or with my bluetooth headphones connected, if a call comes in while I'm listening to something, about 1/2 the time, the phone wouldn't ring or vibrate.

Oct 16, 2011I like to keep wifi active all the time when at home. So, I set the wifi sleep policy to NEVER (advanced wifi option) but...when the screen goes dark, my wifi immediately disconnects. I confirmed this by pinging the ip address of my Droid x2 from a computer. When the screen is lit the wifi goes active and I get a reply to the pings. When the screen goes dark after the 30 sec screen timeout, the pings no longer work, and I am no longer connected via wifi or 3g. In fact, there is no data connection at all.
I even tried the other wifi sleep policy settings, but they don't seem to change a thing. Bottom line is when I am connected to wifi and the screen goes dark, I loose all data connectivity & loose the ability to receive gmail and Touchdown email notifications.
I just recevice the X2, upgraded from the Droid X. I used to have a Droid X and the "never" sleep policy option worked just perfectly. Why is it not working on the X2? I am running 2.3.4.

Jun 17, 2014I've been using my Wifi connection (from home) lately, I had no troubles what-so-ever. I turned on my 3G network this morning, and again, everything's going perfectly fine with my connection. I came home around half 4 from school and decided to turn on my WiFi connection at home, what I've realized is that whenever I try turning on my WiFi network, the little sign that's usually at the top doesn't appear anymore. I tried resetting the network settings and closing and opening my phone, but.. This didn't really make any difference.I have tried reconnecting to my WiFi but nothing happened, my Bluetooth's never really turned on.

Jun 8, 2011I updated my Bold 9700 to OS 6.0 bundle 2475 . I'm using my phone connected to a wifi router that worked fine before update but now is unable to communicate.
The connection is ok (I can select my network in the list and the phone is connected) but the "Blackberry" icon doesn't appear on the main screen near the wifi icon and it's impossible to connect the phone to Internet or email.
Using 3G connection all work fine but I'm abroad and normally I use this wifi network on my apartment that works fine (I'm also using an iPhone that works great, it means that the network is ok).

Sep 30, 2015I have a SM-G900F (no carrier) European S5, bought like a couple months ago, not rooted or installed any custom rom, full stock on 5.0.
When I enable Mobile Hotspot or share the connection through USB, the other devices connect just fine, but no data is received at all.
* Tested with both a laptop and another phone
* To rule out carrier restrictions, I put the SIM in a Nexus4 and enabled Wifi tethering, then connected to it with the S5, works np, just not the other way around.

Oct 3, 2011I have set my Wifi Sleep Policy to "Never", because i like to strem my music with DLNA App to my HiFi, and i'm also downloading with Torrent App some TV Shows.Music Streamin works fine with Original DLNA app from Atrix, but only until the Display turns off. Then it stoped everything.I also set DLNA to never sleep and i also tried Battery set to "Performace". It simply doesn't work.With Torrent app from the Market also the same problem. I tried several apps. After the display is turned off there are no transfers.I own also Samsung Galaxy Tablet. With this device i don't have any of these problems.The funny thing is that the original DLNA app from Atrix simply don't stream the music after the display turnes off.

But when I switch to mobile data network it works fine and returns the results right away. I can not even use speech to text feature while on wifi it, it does the same thing as voice search on wifi. I am not able to find out what the problem is. The formatting was incorrectly checked causing all caps. Just changed the formatting to correct that.

Even with a strong 4g signial it will just say loading for up to a minute before it completes loading. Before the update the app would always load very fast. so, after some battery pull, decided to re-install the original SO. now i can see the name of my carrier and the full power of signal but i'm not able to make/receive phone call or text messages because it says: no service available.
i looked for any number to contact but i didn't find anything.
i've bought this 9800 to replace my iphone but i think i'll keep my iphone: with apple a problem like this will be solved calling the support center and receiving a new phone, with the blackberry.. it's better not to know! (one frriend of mine sent the bb to the support and it come back after 2 month still not working) any number to contact? or any person who wnat to buy my torch?
BB Torch :: 9810 Bluetooth Doesn't Work With BMW Car
Nov 4, 2011There seems to be plenty of discussion about the 9900 not working with bluetooth on BMW cars but is anybody else having problems with a Torch 9810?My phone won't connect automatically - or rather it claims to connect on the iDrive screen, but doesn't work/ I have to disconnect and then reconnect again. That is on a good day. Every couple of days, it fails repeatedly and I have to delete the connection in the phone (the car won't let me) and pair again. Sometimes this takes a while. I am running version 7.0.0 Bundle 1465 which appears to be the latest software. My car is a 2005 BMW 6 series and it works fine with my wife's older Blackberry (a Curve I think) and my old Torch 9800.
