View 2 RepliesMy Torch is about 9 months old. I had no problems with it until about a month ago. It constantly reboots. It is not software. Sometimes when you close the slider, it goes dead and reboots. I have now seen that if the slider is open and you softly wiggle the screen part it reboots.. not always.. This tells me that it is a hardware problem. A factory fault if you ask me. My wife's Torch is 2 months old. Same problem. Also reboots for nothing. Work colleague, also a torch. Just over a year old. Same problem. Reboots 4 or 5 times a day. This is definitely not software. If you put it down too hard, or keep it in your pocket. A lot of the time it reboots...
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe situtation that my Blackberry Torch has recently been in is that the out of no where, the Blackberry will freeze up. The LED indicator will be lit up for a short period of time, for a total of two times. After that, the system reboots itself. During this problematic process, I cannot use the buttons at all to try to stop it or do something else.I have reinstalled the OS Software and have done a hard reset during the red LED indicates.I don't have warranty becase I have purchase this off my friend after his warranty was over and he got himself another phone.

I was trying to access the app world but then again my Blackberry id is not authenticated due to "network problems". However, the rest of the wifi devices here at home are working perfectly. It happens everyday and is getting worse Sometimes I lose it for 5 minutes, but 3 hours is ridiculous! I'm still connected to 3G. I can talk on the phone and I can use the browser for internet. But i can't get my work emails and my apps don't work. I tried resending my service books nothing I turned on and off all my services on the phone nothing. I run the connection diagnostics and it says Blackberry Registration: No. I updated to the latest leak .161 and that didn't help.I found a thread on Crack Berry where numerous others are encountering the same issue, so I don't think exchanging the device is going to help. Someone from Blackberry please fix this! This is a serious issue!

We don't have connection in subway, so pretty much every time I am out of the tunnel and find connection I get a reboot. It doesn't happen every time though, on some occasions it doesn't reboot.I thinl after last update it started happening more often, but I am not really sure about that since I noticed some occasional reboots before, but didn't put the getting out of tunnel and reboot together and after it happened several times I noticed.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.

I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.

When the cyanogen logo apears it reboot again. I can get into the phone a few times but it reboots again and I cant enter the twp to wipe or reinstall another room. my question is in regards to infinity blade ii. on the app purchase information it states;

i plug in the adapter and start infinity blade ii and nothing is outputted to the tv. there is also no option to enable it under the settings menu in the app itself. how do you get it to work? is it false advertising? is it an option only available to the iphone 4s and ipad 2? is it only available through airplay? will the feature be included in a future update?

My 1020 seems to have a problem when set to infinity focus...the pictures end up a bit blurry. The strange thing is that on autofocus the picture is perfectly sharp...which makes me think this is a software issue rather than hardware.
I uploaded 2 pictures to show you the issue. Both were taken on a tripod and 2 seconds self timer to avoid handshake. ISO was set at 100 and everything else left on auto except for focus mode.

I want to download Infinity blade onto my iPhone while it's 99 cents and I cleared off my phone to where it says I have 1.0 gb free in the about menu. When I go to download infinity blade from the app store it says I dont have enough space. Infinity blade is only about 530 mb.

The reboot bar reaches as far as about where the letter 'e' is in the word 'Blackberry' in the middle of the reboot screen. Then the red LED flashed and the Torch reboots again.
To stop the rebooting I had to pull out the battery, but once I put this in the reboots continue.
I have a blackberry torch 9800. I upgraded my AppWorld and rebooted my device, since then its rebooting continuously, I tried after replacing the battery (my friend has a similar phone). Removed the battery for 5hours and tries switching it on. Removed the memory card andtriied everything. Basically the black screen with blackberry logo is turning on, loading till the end and reboots after it loads completely. I don't want to take it to the store any exchange it for a new one, I need THIS phone cuz I have all my data and I have around 120 BBM contacts (I DONT want to lose them).

The phone now reboots in low coverage areas when switching from 3g to Edge. It will not happen when I have it set to 3G only mode. My phone is still under Warranty.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently acquired a Torch 9810, originally from Rogers but MEP2 unlocked and running on Fido with a 6GB data plan. It's my first BB, a choice that I made specifically because I was so impressed by my Playbook. There is, however, one thoroughly frustrating problem, which is that it suffers from random reboots. Symptomatically, there is a brief pause, followed by the backlight turning off (I can still see the previous content on the screen sometimes), followed by the red LED and then the BB logo with the loading bar. It looks similar to a soft reset or battery pull. These reboots seem to be completely random:
1) They take place over a wide range of activities, including web browsing, email reading and composing, Facebook, Twitter, built-in apps, even when looking through settings menus.2) The frequency seems to be random too, sometimes I can go for half a day without a reboot, but sometimes the phone will reboot twice in the span of a few minutes.
I tried reloading the stock Rogers 7.0.0.254 OS but this did not solve the problem.Thereafter, I have gone through 3 different 7.1 OS versions, each time using BBSAK to wipe my device to a 507 state. I have tried Telus 7.1.0.267, Mobilicity 7.1.0.378 and even the latest official OS for my phone, Rogers 7.1.0.391. My torch 9850 reboots seemingly randomly. However, It actually seems to reboot during times of inactivity such as just lying on the table.
