The screen is frozen, but the phone responds when it is closed. I hear the trackpad, but it doesn't move, nor do any of the keys work. I have removed the battery - left it out overnight, still won't respond.

Before the update I was having trouble with my Trackpad, so I deleted the social feeds and blackberry messenger as an attempt to improve the battery, the battery did improve and so did the problem with the trackpad. But when I did updated my phone software blackberry messenger had come back and I was unable to delete it and then the trouble with the Trackpad started again. If that is the trouble how can I delete it so I can use the trackpad again?

Sometimes I can hit the ok button highlight and can continue using my phone, but as of lately more often than not, I must pull the battery as the phone locks up.BB support was unable to help. Sprint my carrier has been unable to help and wants me to drive another 30 miles to a "tech store".

So I tried to upgrade my OS from 4 to 5. It was successful but I wasn't able to scroll down to press the OK button. After a couple of hours trying to scroll down, I pressed the OK button. But my trackpad and keyboard is not functioning well because when I pressed the home button my BB is not showing the home screen, instead it shows me my phonebook.

When i go to Keyboard settings and "Use my writing style", under "My Words" there are none! And I've typed them many times. Tried "Learn from Gmail" and "Learn from Messaging" still none. Also if i pressed q,e or some other letters it would close the text message I was writing. The trackpad is very responsive and when the unit is closed the track pad works great but about a week ago the trackpad stopped working when the keyboard slider was open, after a few swipes it would come back to life however now the problem is worsened to the point where the trackpad is unresponsive when the kb is opened but as soon as I slide the kb back the track pad comes to life, this is the second unit that I have had problems with in 30 days. I have tried all the standard stuff like pulling the battery for a few hrs and such.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy atrix works with the hd dock and saitek backlit usb keyboard fine. I also have a gigabyte bluetooth mouse thats works with the ocassional dropout. The problem is I just got a motorola bluetooth keyboard with trackpad and it doesn't work in webtop mode. The mouse portion of the keyboard works sometimes and then drops out, but I can't type anything. The caps lock light will not even come on. When I undock the phone the keyboard will work and then disconnects randomly. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. Hopefully this will be fixed with a software update.

Whereas in the past (like even early this afternoon) I would be able to see emails or texts - or if no email or texts it would say 'No messages' - I cannot open either emails or text and therefore cannot create, read, or anything else. Now the bottom half of my keyboard totally stops working, but the problem can be fixed by respringing or restarting the device. I restored the device to its original settings and I have not been able to recreate the problem, so I assume it lies with something I recently installed. my screen froze on my 1020. None of the "screen" buttons would work but the physical side buttons would. I rebooted a couple of times (depressing the power and volume down). It worked once but then froze up again. Taking out the sim and putting it back in seems to reboot the phone, which works, sometimes, but freezes up again as soon as the screen lock is activated.

I am unable to switch off the phone or move the screen, it's just frozen and it's showing that the phone is locked although it has been unlocked and moved to another screen prior to freezing. I am now restoring the phone to it's factory settings and it is still being processed.
I can see that itunes is working on this, but the screen remains frozen and switched on. If this doesn't work and I think that it won't.
