I just changed from a bb pearl to a bb storm 9530. I got an unlocked phone and put my sim card in. I cannot get it to come up with my phone number. when i go to the call screen it comes up as 00000000000 and whn i check my sim card info on the phone it says my phone number but I cannot get the right number to come up on the call screen, and can't make or recieve calls.

Is there a away to change that? It does it for all contacts that have a fax number, the Phone icon shows up beside the fax number.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive a sms message sometimes, the original text comes through fine.However, a few minutes later I get small bits and pieces of the original message sent to me in about 10 separate text messages ( sometimes more ) from a California telephone number (I live in Mass.). When I call that number from my Bionic, it goes right ot my voice mail voice mail. When I call the number from a landline, it states that the call cannot be completed.

View 12 Replies View RelatedA couple weeks ago I put a needle (needle and thread) on my phone screen for like 2 seconds, the needle rolled to the side and went between the screen and he side of the phone, as I tried to get it out it went in further and was pushed behind the screen on Saturday I took the phone a part, managed to get the needle out and put the phone back together. Once it was back together I switched it back on and now the call/menu/return and end call buttons are not working. They do click when pressed but they don't actually do anything anymore. So I retook the phone a part just to make sure I didn't snag anything or move anything to which I found I had not.

Since then I replaced my battery and the phone came on with the clock and then the screen showed up. and could not do anything. Then the screen went black. Now when I try to recharge it only a green light appears and nothing else. Did I kill my battery and is the phone no longer good or it's just my screen and i can replace it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had my Storm since it came out. I take great care of it, only update with official revs of the BB OS. I only have a few applications. I turned it on a few days ago and got a white screen that had a JVM error 102. Called VZ tech support and they told me I had a corrupt file in the OS and asked me to unistall and reinstall. I have done this 5 times and still I have a white screen that has reset on it. Even doing a cold boot, nothing changes.

If someone calls me on a land line the caller id works great and name appears as in my contact list. If someone calls me on a cell phone I get unknown number. I have tried battery pull and tried changing encryption or the smart dialing settings.

Immediately there was a tiny crack that appears in the graphics of the screen, but nothing on the surface. Now anytime I try to get the screen to respond all that appears is that little crack. The LED is working, and I'm assuming that the phone is still functioning. I've tried pulling the battery two times now, but the screen isnt responding.

After dialing Verizon *611 or when calling voicemail, the number keypad is disabled and the numbers are gone or moved to different locations so I can not enter PIN. I am sure it is a software issue. Tried a hard reset with no luck. VZ authorized retailer believes he can fix this problem by wiping clean and reinstalling one app at a time. Has anyone else had same problem and any luck with a fix?
