my phone blocks and unblocks without me pressing the button. sometimes it blocks for about 20 minutes and there is nothing i can do. i just have to wait. sometimes im typing a message and it keeps blocking and unblocking.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 9530 (4.7.0.148) has started running slow at times for no reason that I can find. Simple things like un-locking the screen, deleting an email, switching to the home screen, highlighting a folder, and of course opening an app, can take up to 15 seconds. This doesn't happen all the time but is frequent enough to be annoying.
I haven't installed any apps that I can trace it to and my memory level is about the same as it has always been. I only have the normal 5 apps running in the background along with Berryweather. I do frequent battery pulls too.
I have had this OS since it came out and it has worked well for me. I have the phone set up just the way I want it.
Any ideas what could be causing my BB to slow down for no apparent reason? I have searched the board for ideas but haven't found a similar issue. I think somewhere I saw someone mention that over time the phone could accumulate a lot of old "junk" on it and this could slow it down. Could this be my problem? Should I wipe it with JL Cmder and then re-install .148? Would I be that much better off upgrading to 5.0.0.328? I would prefer to stay with .148 so I don't lose some of my apps but I'll upgrade if I have to.
I added a ms exchange account from my company and now the options to use a pattern for unlock are greyed out. Also under owners, it shows that exchange account.

When I press C and connected the cable the software checked connected phone and replied product can not be identified, remove the cable and reinsert the battery. I did so. But now phone is not working when I try to switch it on, the screen just blinks with a light but no text on the screen. I tried to flash the phone too but it is also not wokring XS++ shows something link this.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5. Its not rooted. But I am running Nova Launcher as my default launcher. It causes my lock screen to kinda glitch out. The letters and numbers on the pin lock screen are turning into solid white blocks. I know if I restart my phone, it fixes it. But I'm just curious as to what causes it.

I did not update to lollipop so that can't be the answer. My screen turns o.n itself when I don't have any notifications. Also, my sound changes itself from silent, to vibrate and ring all by itself.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis happens when I'm using apps that have a large percentage of white screen space (Google Books, browser between page loads, etc), or at least that's the only time I've noticed it.The whites on the screen are usually a cool white, but sometimes the entire white area of the screen will abruptly shift to a pinker hue and then back after several seconds. The first few times this happened I wondered if it was some kind of response to ambient light, like the auto dimming feature. However, I can't force it to happen, even by tilting/moving the phone or covering the light sensor right after it happens.
Does it sounds like an indication of a malfunctioning screen and something I should talk to Verizon about replacing? It's not a problem, just puzzling, but I just purchased the phone about two weeks ago so if this is a sign of a defect I want to fix it before it does cause problems.
I'm having problem with my storm phone ever since it was dropped in water. I left it to dry for a week. Since then I replaced my battery and the phone came on with the clock and then the screen showed up. and could not do anything. Then the screen went black. Now when I try to recharge it only a green light appears and nothing else. Did I kill my battery and is the phone no longer good or it's just my screen and i can replace it.

I turned it on a few days ago and got a white screen that had a JVM error 102. Called VZ tech support and they told me I had a corrupt file in the OS and asked me to unistall and reinstall. I have done this 5 times and still I have a white screen that has reset on it. Even doing a cold boot, nothing changes.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Storm 9530 that I bought on eBay. I accidently dropped my metal water bottle on the bottom half of the screen. Immediately there was a tiny crack that appears in the graphics of the screen, but nothing on the surface. Now anytime I try to get the screen to respond all that appears is that little crack. The LED is working, and I'm assuming that the phone is still functioning. I've tried pulling the battery two times now, but the screen isnt responding.
View 1 Replies View RelatedUpgraded phone from Samsung Galaxy S4 to Samsung Galaxy S6. Incoming TXT continues to work normally, but I cannot send an outbound TXT while VPN is connected. If I disconnect from VPN, TXT works fine again.
Same carrier - Verizon. Same messaging app - Samsung Messaging. Same VPN provider and account. Using OpenVPN on both. Also tried the VPN Client that PIA provided -- same results.
Same results whether I am using WiFi, or if I disable WiFi and only use Verizon normal wireless. Wife's GS5 using same OpenVPN and same SMS app and same network works perfectly.
I contacted my VPN provider, PrivateInternetAccess, who promptly blamed my Wireless Provider, Verizon. They stated that I had to tell Verizon to provide a "NAT unrestricted IP address".
On my lock screen and on some of the other screens on my phone instead of text I am getting large blocks covering the text. This goes away for a short period after restarting but always comes back after a few hours.

Shortly before this happened, the phone would not sow the words im typing and they would only show up after pressing the space button after which the phone would freeze and require a battery pull. The phone has been giving me problems for a bit so I thought this was one of the many problems but now the phone cant show anything although the backlight will be on. I thought it was a software issue (I started using the phone brand in November when it was brand new so I didnt expect this to be a hardware problem) and tried upgrading and downgrading with the same results.Looking at this forum this looks like a very common problem amongst Storm phones. Since I bought this phone off an online auction (in South Africa which means I cant 'return it to my carrier') and the Warranty type was listed as carried by the manufacturer is there a way I can return this phone to RIM for repairs sonce the phone is only 3months old and I still have some warranty?

View 4 Replies View RelatedVery often my Iphone 4s (with full coverage and 3G signal correctly dispalyed) loose connection to the internet, then it continues to look for 3g connection for a long time with no joy (so it never switches automatically to Edge...) and by then it can't do calls (if I try calls ends immediately...) neither sends sms. It stays blocked, restarting sometimes doesn't work, the only solution I've found so far is to witch off/on the 3G function. After that off/on, iPhone starts immediately to work fine again, in 3G modality too. I'm not 100% sure, but I noticed this problem only after updgraded to iOS 5.1. Any way to figure it out without disabling/enabling 3G all the time?

It's not a new thing that my phone restarts alone time to time(!) but recently I notice that any time I touch the 'backup and restore' app to close it from the 'on going' applications (what does it there?), the phone blocks directly and have to enter my code as if it was restarted again.
