All of my contacts have been deleted by my phone. I know it sounds nuts. I did not do anything to delete anything that I am aware of. I don't go into those things for fear of doing that. It started last week when my phone was not showing my contact name with the phone number when someone would call me. I went to go and pull up a number today and my entire contact book was empty.
I have already tried the following:
-Battery pull, waited for 15 secs.
-Checked my address book filters-both boxes are unchecked

Before updating the Blackberry Storm to Version 5.0 I did a full backup of the device. Since the update I am unable to see any of the contacts in Blackberry Desktop Software on my Mac. I have tried a restore of just the 'Address Book - All' and still I can't see anything even though it states that there are 59 records.
Please tell me I haven't lost them all or whether I am doing something wrong.
I deleted my notes off of my Outlook on my blackberry and did not have them on my PC Outlook yet. Is there anyway of recovering my Notes from the blackberry.
I just updated my Storm to OS 5 using Desktop Manager and it backed up and restored everything except my existing MMS messages. Is there any way I can get these back? Can I find out if they are just not displaying somehow or if Desktop Manager backed them up and just didn't restore them?
I have a new Storm and have just suffered a major disaster due to the default setting that deletes old appointments in Calendar if they are over 60 days old.
Blackberry - change your defaults to retain any information FOREVER rather than hiding a default deep in the Calendar options set to 60 days which no-one knows about till it is too late - I have lost 4 years of critical project schedules and activities simply because I bought a new phone!! Judging by a couple of other posts on these forums others have also suffered this unwanted 60-day default. It is just so much more logical that the Users make a concious decision to have automatic deletion.
how I can recover my lost calendar entries - since they have been deleted out of my Outlook as well.
I have an issue with both Hotmail and Lotus Notes. Emails deleted on the Storm inbox disappear from the Hotmail / Notes inboxes but notes deleted from the Notes / Hotmail inboxes stay in the Storm inbox
For the past 3-4 days I've been having problems with emails being deleted from my handheld that I didn't actually delete. I have it set to keep messages for 30 days but emails I got on Thursday and Friday are already gone. When I deleted something else today I noticed that the saved messages I had are no longer on my handheld. I saw on another thread to increase my memory but it's currently at 39 for applications and 866 for the device.do I need more and how do I get it? If not is there something to do to?
i recently accidentally deleted the message icon from the home screen of my phone. it is not just hiddin and i cannot find it in show all. i also looked in applications in the options and couldnt find it.
Whenever I connect my Storm to my laptop to transfer videos on to the media card in my Storm, when I disconnect it, and go to media:video, every video that I have ever had on my phone is listed. A battery pull refreshes the list, and it then only shows the videos that are actually currently on the card. Is there any way I can refresh the list without rebooting?
I tired solution : settings - apps - all - contacts - force stop - restart... it did not return anything (did not return a contact number)
I added contacts from my other phone, manually adding them was a hard job.. since my old phone was a old nokia model (not smartphone) then after a day or 2... I noticed a notification called "SYNC" it said... too many contacts to delete... then i noticed all my contacts deleted...
Then I added some numbers again... but it got deleted again...and I also noticed... some random contacts have appeared on my phonebook, majority of them has pictures..of different nationalities.. and I don't know any of them, and i did not add them too, also... i checked if filter was the case.. the filter settings is fine...
I just got a new iphone 4s and i want all my contacts from my iphone4, i also want the contacts to be deleted off the old one but kept on the new one. but icloud wond let me keep them on the new one.
This morning all my contacts were fine, but when I went to send a text message this afternoon, I noticed that some of my contact names had disappeared and it was just their number in the message thread. As I looked through all the contacts that had just disappeared from my text messages, I noticed that all of them had been added since I got my new phone a little less than a year ago. Any contact I had on my old phone was still there. I turned my phone off and on, but it didn't work. Then I went to check if the contacts were still on my computer in the iCloud, and they were gone from there, too. How do I get them all back?
Alright so, I've never had a hitch with my blackberry since I got it in August 2011.Recently I could be talking to my friend on BBM and the next minute it's saying I no longer have them as a contact and if i'd like to reinvite them? It's starting to get really annoying because it happens about 4 or 5 times a day with multiple contacts. I've tried restoring my phone back to an earlier date, I've updated bbm and I'm now running out of options because I can't delete BBM and reinstall it because I don't have the option anymore.
I Had updated my xperia x10 about a month ago. Since then i am facing troubles with contacts. The contacts got deleted itself. Then i tried to sync my account but then also the contacts did not show up although they are present in my account at sony ericsson site. Even after using backup and restore application my contacts werent restored. My contacts have got deleted automatically more then two times.
How to restore deleted phone contacts? Somehow I managed to wipe the phone contacts, all other options in the people app are still there, whatsapp, google etc, but I cant find out how to reinstate the contact I deleted. I tried to restore from a backup, as the phone automatically backs up every 24 hours, but for some reason the option to restore back ups is greyed out....
Many of my contacts have been multiplied without any action from me. There are >150 copies of >50 contacts which can not be deleted. I assume the problem is linked to LinkedIn since all multiple contacts have the LinkedIn logo. Even contacts I have not added to my contacts have been copied, even those I don't have contact with in LinkedIn but suggested by LinkedIn. My email operator can't work.
Backed up before updating, even though the update assured me everything would be preserved. All the messages are still there, but the contacts are gone. Apps, photos, everything else backed up and restored with no problem, just contacts are gone.
I updated my iPhone to iOs 5.1 recently. I share my account with two other people and when i was restoring my contacts another person's contacts went on my phone. I deleted them and replaced them with my own since I wrote down my contacts just incase and as I did this it started to do the same to the person whos numbers were restored on my phone. When I tried to get the person's numbers back it downloaded the other person's numbers on my phone. How do I restore the person who lost their numbers and get the other numbers on my phone off?
i was trying to create a new i cloud account because my other one wasnt working good. As i deleted the current account it deleted ALL of my contacts ! way to restore theese contacts! i dont have them syncd im my mac or anything
