Jan 7, 2012I am with Rogers and I started with the Curve-an awesome phone with no issues- then I bought the Playbook and it wasn't able to bridge so I upgraded to the Torch in August. The phone was such a pain, everytime I talked on it it would hit the speakerphone, so I gave it to my daughter a few months ago and bought the New Bold 9900 because I heard it was much better. So wrong. I am on my second Bold phone because it heats up and the battery doesn't last long at all.
Now I have had it freeze when I am typing, turning it on, scrolling, etc. It has now started erasing my emails on me, which I need for work and have now lost!!!! It randomly puts up this RIM error message. Rogers says it needs a task killer but I have no clue. I have bought Blackberry hones and Playbooks for my family and have been a loyal Blackberry user- laughing at my father and his inferior fruit phone and pad but I am starting to wonder. Is there something I can do
Xperia Z2 :: Deleted Message Stuck On Cannot Be Sent / Constantly Showing Red
Mar 4, 2015I tried sending a picture via text message. This didn't work and I got the message "Message cannot be sent" with that red frowny face. So I deleted the message from the conversation.The problem is, that this deleted message now seems to be stuck somewhere: when I go to the overview of conversations, the one I tried sending the picture now always has that red frowny face next to it, even though since then I was sending normal messages succerssfully. Also that sad frowny face sometimes comes up as a notification. I click on "clear", so it disappears, but then after a while it will come back.
I already cleares the cache for the "Messaging" and restarted the phone, but it's still there. Do you know how I can get rid of the red frowny face?
BB Curve 83xx :: Accidentally Deleted Contacts
Jan 12, 2010I tried to help my friend update his 8330... only the blackberry messenger. He is not an avid crackberry user, so did not have his contacts backed up on his computer, and of course he lost his contacts, except for the ones with email addresses attached to them for some reason. He lost all phone numbers. I was wondering if there is any way his contacts would have been backed up, either with verizon, on the media card, any way to get them back..... He is running the last official update from Verizon.

Jun 24, 2010security wipe (not done on purpose ) deleted all my contacts but nothing else . Is there any way by any means to get them back ? No sink backup was mad prior to this and just now have a computer to use to do this or anything else . the security wipe had something to do with spelling blackberry and entering a password . The reason was to delete a certificate but once I enetered the password the screen went white ----a progress bar appeared and when it was done and rebooted all my contacts were gone and the cert was still there.

My contacts constantly freeze, sometimes to the point where it takes 5 minutes to work through the kill all apps, force close, wait, etc to get to the dialpad or contact names and make a call. Not farmiliar enough with Android to figure this out.One of the reoccuring messages is - Activity Dialer (in application Contacts Storage) is not responding - Force Closed/ WaitI believe it has something to do with the contacts because I have also loaded the app Tikl, and when it asks for my contacts there is 20 or so of the same contact and it then freezes when I try to scroll through them...I have deleted a few apps that appeared to run without being loaded. I use Battery Dr. to kill the apps.

Feb 18, 2011I am on my third Blackberry 8520 and keep having the same problem. Every two or three days it freezes. The only way to "fix" this is to take the battery out and put it back it. Two or three days later, it will freeze and I have to do it again. This process also drains my battery life. I don't have many applications installed and the ones I do have come only from Blackberry App World. I also receive an App Error 523 message. I have called my carrier and gone through the different steps they recommend to solve this problem. None work. I am very dissatisfied and have come to the conclusion that the 8520 and all Curves are garbage and I am seriously considering leaving Blackberry. This also happened to me and other friends owned 8300.

The phone reboots itself approximately 5 or 6 times a day which is quite annoying as you have to deal with the irate persons who are continuously met by your voicemail as your phone is off or awaiting secrity info (PIN) without your knowledge.

Mar 29, 2010All of my contacts have been deleted by my phone. I know it sounds nuts. I did not do anything to delete anything that I am aware of. I don't go into those things for fear of doing that. It started last week when my phone was not showing my contact name with the phone number when someone would call me. I went to go and pull up a number today and my entire contact book was empty.

I added contacts from my other phone, manually adding them was a hard job.. since my old phone was a old nokia model (not smartphone) then after a day or 2... I noticed a notification called "SYNC" it said... too many contacts to delete... then i noticed all my contacts deleted...
Then I added some numbers again... but it got deleted again...and I also noticed... some random contacts have appeared on my phonebook, majority of them has pictures..of different nationalities.. and I don't know any of them, and i did not add them too, also... i checked if filter was the case.. the filter settings is fine...

Aug 28, 2014This morning all my contacts were fine, but when I went to send a text message this afternoon, I noticed that some of my contact names had disappeared and it was just their number in the message thread. As I looked through all the contacts that had just disappeared from my text messages, I noticed that all of them had been added since I got my new phone a little less than a year ago. Any contact I had on my old phone was still there. I turned my phone off and on, but it didn't work. Then I went to check if the contacts were still on my computer in the iCloud, and they were gone from there, too. How do I get them all back?

Jun 3, 2012However the last few weeks, it's been cutting out, Crashing, freezes up. Boots up, goes to the White Screen and goe's black, doesn't come on for at least 5 minutes before it boots up.I've been trying to reload its software but unable to because the phone freezes up and cuts off. So i have no clue what to do at this point. It has little episodes where it spazzes out goes white and the screen flickers for 20 seconds and shuts off. Battery pulls have been tried to fix the issue but even that isn't even working.i'm a Blackberry Guru myself but i've never seen this issue ever before on my Curve 3G. The odd occasional crash maybe due to over load on the memory, but this is getting beyond a joke, i can't even boot it up for at least 10 minutes or even a minute after it boots up it goes like Hell is decending into the thing.
UPDATE: I'm also being informed i'm not the only one with this issue, a fair few blackberries have gone insane in my area. Like if a hacker is tapping into the software and destroying it inside out with a virus or something. < An idea but not accurate.
BB Curve :: 9300 - Trackpad Constantly Freeze?
May 15, 2012I am having major issues with my Blackberry Curve 9300.The trackpad constantly freezes for up to 15 hours at a time. During this time the device is useless. I cannot scroll left to right, but sometimes I can still select by pressing the trackpad. This still make it useless as I cannot scroll to what I want to select.Pulling the battery does not fix this. I have good app memory so that's not the issue.

Oct 18, 2011For at least the last 6 months I've been having a constant problem with making phone calls from my blackberry. Whenever I make a call more 99% of the time I have problems where the person's voice on the other end of the phone is constantly breaking up.or the voice sounds distorted (the only way I can really describe this is that it sounds almost like someone's playing the sound back in slow motion with a lot of inteference noise mixed in). Other times I have attempted to make a phone call and after waiting to hear a ringtone while the screen reads "connecting" for a while, I get the "call failed" message. I would put these problems down to bad signal but when I make the calls my phone always has at least 3 bars of signal. At first I wasn't sure if the problems were from my phone or whether it was from the phones I've been calling, but today I've called 3 different numbers and had exactly thesame problem with it.
