My iphone contacts wont "stick"; the pictures are constantly changing and custom ringtones change also. I don't sync my contacts with my computer nor with icloud.

there is a plug-in for custom ringtones per contact! it is in the Extras repository open xterm apt-get install per-contact-ringtones you will notice that it is integrated with the contacts manager.after you open a contact, tap the menu and you will now have an option "custom ring tone"
View 23 Replies View RelatedMy contacts is in extras-devel and works great. it has a full screen widget you can turn on and off too.i have been able to create 4 groups of people/contacts and assign rings to them. (currently only see wav files) i am sure there will be some updates to make it better, but it is a great start. i have had no issues with it so far, so even the noob should be ok trying it.

I am attempting to create a custom tone, and have succeded in every step except for being able to find it on my phone. I understand it should be under settings/sounds/ringtones... but its not there, nor is there a section entitled custom tones as everyone i have spoken to says there should be?

Is there anything like custom ringtones for different email addresses? Some email accounts I've got set up on my phone (3GS, 3.1.2) get emails that there is no real urgency about; I'll look at the when I have time. Others I'd like to look at as soon as they arrive. A different sound for each account would help with this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have got the iphone 5 - 7.1.2 software update and I managed to go as far as making a custom made ringtone that shows in itunes as an m4r.
When I try to sync my phone it doesn't pick up the ringtones tho. I tried unchecking and syncing and then checking and syncing again but its not working.
I also can not choose to manually sync my phone. Whenever I click the button for it it disappears.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got this phone (new) and have been fairly happy. HOWEVER, I have one grief that I have yet to get resolved. Except for one of my contacts, I can not seem to set either mp3's or aac's as a custom ringtone for a contact. Though I have gone through the process multiple times, only my custom default ringtone plays when I receive a call.
I would appreciate any and all help that will assist me in getting this resolved. To say I am slightly frustrated would be an understatement.
I'm having trouble setting my music as ringtones on my X2. In the ringtone selection menu, there is a folder called "Music files", but the phone says it is empty, and if I try to access it, it says "Folder contents unavailable for selection". However, the music files are working with the media player without any problems.

I've tried doin' the add new profile but every time I go to try and add an exception, I can never find where it says "add exception" on my phone. I only need it for my husbands text messages. He's in the army and hes gone right now and when we're not able to be with each other, I wanted to make sure I would know when it was him texting.

After the update I pretty much lost the ability to automatically connect to LTE, it would mostly only connect by toggling airplane mode or the CDMA CDMA/LTE mode. Spoke with HTC which suggested remove and re-install sim card.I followed HTC suggestion.
After phone rebooted it connected to LTE but was stuck in Central Time Zone for about 4 hours, then the phone finally went back to Eastern Time Zone.My LTE issue seems resolved but the phone continues to revert back to Central Time 4 to 5 times per day for up to a half an hour each time regardless of where I am locally.I know I can manually set my time zone but I dont think I should have to do that.In CDMA only mode the phone is fine.

Provider is Rogers and I know that this in itself will create problems, but I was able to find a work-around for my cell (same provider, different phone). Any help would be greatly appreciated. One more thing, does one have to have a memory card in the phone to add custom ringtones?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been trying (unsuccessfully) for the past 5 hours to resolve a custom ringtone issue with my 9700 and it is driving me crazy!I have custom ringtones set for some of my contacts for calls and messages and they were all working perfectly. Then today, I received a text message from one of my contacts and noticed the tone was the from the default profile. I checked the contact setting and the custom ringtone was the same, but whenever messages from the contacts came in, it was using the default profile. Whenever I get calls from the contact, the custom ringtone works, but all of a sudden it just stopped working for messages. Then I realized this situation is the same for ALL contacts that I had a custom ringtone for. I am completely baffled. I've probably done about 100 battery pulls.
