I have a problem with my BB STORM 9520: after a phone call I made, the keyboard is completely stuck on the Homepage.So, instead of having a regular BB homepage with the menu etc..I have the QWERTY keyboard not going away in anyway.If I type some keys, it brings me to the "numeric keyboard", the one you use to dial the numbers when you have to make calls.

View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen I set up my email I only get the option for regular email accounts to be set up and not the BES option. I have set up my gmail account and that is fine. I have also set up my email account from work to synch via the web exchange but not through the BES.I really want this option as I know it is the better way to be set up, we have BES set up on our work server I just need the option on my handset to do it!
View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to get the keyboard to STOP popping up automatically when one opens an SMS message using the Storm 9530 running v5.0.0.328 (Platform 4.2.0.128)? I do like the threaded messages - very handy - but I'm old and my eyes aren't what they used to be. That tiny little slit with one line of text just doesn't get it for me when trying to read the SMS messages. Anyone find a way to stop that keyboard from coming up automatically?

When you're in a group chat or individual chats the keyboard does not appear when you click inside the text box or choose show keyboard from the menu. I've heard this from a few other people I know that have the Storm 2. This is very frustrating. Please help!!!!!!!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got a new BlackBerry Storm 9520 a few days again, and am now experiencing difficulties with the display.On the main menu (in portrait view) instead of showing application icons, it shows an oncreen keyboard which i cannot remove. Several times the keyboard has presented with jumbled letters and numbers, but then reverts back to QWERTY view.I am confused as to why this is happening.

It is because there are no email service on my service book. Even I add or remove email in BIS account serveral time and register for host routng table and clear service book. I've never been able to obtain email service in my service book. Email I add in BIS are @three.blackberry.com and @gmail.com but both of them not work.
I call 3 Customer Care for many time already but they fail to resolve problem. They told me that they already correct service book for me. They told me that the device I have might have a problem asking me to send to service center to check. In my opinion, I didn't make sense to me. Why other service book are working fine except email serivice? Why I cannot obtain only email service? Pin messange, Messenger and Browsing are working OK.
I bought a 9520 couple of months ago and face a peculiar intermittent problem. When I try to dial a phone number, none of the digits(except 0) get displayed on the screen. It happened a week ago and then after 3 -4 restarts came back to normal. But its happened again and is very frustrating coz am unable to dial any new numbers. This occurs only when you try to dial a number.

However I changed my keyboard settings to full qwerty for a bit and then forgot to change it back before the phone locked. Now I don't know which letters correspond to the numbers of my password!

It is a royal pain in the a** having to go back and forth between the two keyboards when you are typing numbers with decimal points. However when I try to swipe it down, the keyboard does disappear. Is this a common problem with the 5.0.0.425 or is it just me who is unlucky?

Has anyone noticed that the device software v5 upgrade has a bug? I am unable to activate the alpha keyboard to enter registration codes for my purchased applications. Only the numberical keyboard is working.

But now I can't seem to bring up the vkeyboard on the home screen to allow me to enter the code. All the instructions say to open the menu and select "show VK" but that's not showing in the menu. Also, I mapped it to a side key and it brings it up everywhere BUT the home screen. Did rim disable this ability?

However, if I open the email account (and find no new messages), and then close it to go back to the home screen, magically the icon has disappeared. A fix, right? Except when I relock the phone, the same issue keeps recurring.Battery pulls and restoring the OS does not help.

I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.

View 8 Replies View RelatedHas a Storm and it just shut off on. When I pull the battery, the red light comes on for a few seconds and the screen and buttons light up. Then, it starts over. 20 minutes later and it's still in that same cycle.
It's rocking Verizon's official 5.0 and she doesn't do anything to modify or hack it. I've never encountered this before.
I'm wondering if the OS became corrupt, but we're @ Red Lobster and there's nothing I can do now.
