BB Software :: Winmail.dat File In Email Keeps Resending?
Oct 17, 2010
My work email is forwarded to my blackberry. There is an email that was forwarded that I read on my outlook at work from "Marty". I never read it on my blackberry, I just deleted it. That was about 1 week ago. Since then, the Marty email keeps coming through my Blackberry every hour. It is not showing up in my work email or spam filter at work. I logged into my Verizon account and blocked his email. I also created a filter on my blackberry to block his email...and it is STILL coming through. I have pulled the battery and updated my phone. Nothing will make this email go away. Please help! I forwarded the email to my work account. And it is blank. All of my other email is coming through fine/normal.
When I send an email with a Word attachment to myself on my BB, the attachment shows up as winmail.dat and will not open. What's going on? The Word-type app shows on my BB.
This didn't happen in the past and now if I send any type of attachment from work (png or zip for instance), the attachment only appears as a winmail.dat file on both my MacBook Pro running 10.7.3 and my iPhone running iOS5.1 The important thing here is the attachment is actually being set out correctly. I know this because if I pick it up using the web interface of my mail provider, the attachments are all present and correct. Therefore the problem lies somewhere in iOS5.1 or OS10.7.3
I have bought my n82 since 1 year already and was happily using it when I noticed that my messages are failing everytime and the phone is resending it (or rescheduling to resend it) and ALL the time it fails, and it reschedules to infinity.I paid this mobile from the sweat of my work and now it is failing after only one year? The destinator of my message sometimes call back and tell me that they have received 5 times the SAME message from me BUTTTT the phone is saying message rechedule (as it failed). What the hell is that? failing on myphone but successfully sent?
I have had this problem some months back. And I did a hard reset and firmware upgrade to 31version. It was ok for 3 months, and now the problem is BACKK.My message centre is good, I even tried to use the network of only gsm - no success.
I have a bold 9900 and when composing an email I can only attach picture, contact, or certificate. There is no option to attach file. This is using bis. Not on bes.
I have a blackberry 8520, it is working fine.. but, strange thing happend though..chronogically its like this..compose an email, write the recipient addresstype the subjectand write whatever messages right.. and so, i would like to attach a file (.doc file)so i press the menu button and choose "attach file"however, the notification poped up saying "The attachment file may be reduced in size."then it just ask me to select pictures from my pictures directory only, and i was unable to browse my .doc file that is located in my documents directory, since there is no "up" option in the menu.
When i try to email a photo that I have taken and is stored in my BB a window pop up says " the attachment file may be reduced in size". When the photo comes in the email it looks like a rendering rather than the photograph I took.
here what i have:Torch ATT with BESExchange 2007Outlook 2010My issue, when i received emails everything goes perfect, i read on my bb and outlook mark it as read, when i move any email to another subfolder on my outlook ost file (same mailbox) the bb automatically refresh that change so you can see that email in subfolder on bb, but when i tried to move an email to another file pst file bb never detects that change and keeps that email in inbox.
I receive all my work voicemails through my exchange email account as a wav file attachment.I have always been able to open and play these with my previous phones but they won't play on the 920, it says "sorry, we can't play this file on your phone".
whenever i make email, i can not attach more that 1 picture. and worst part is that the option is only for picture and contacts. other option for attaching file is missing.
I have got myself the new bold 9900 and I really like it. However, I am not able to attach FIles and Videos while sending emails; I only get 2 options when I press the attach button while I am compising emails which are pictures and contacts. I also have a friend of mine who gets the attach file option on his emails.
I have tried everything, from rebooting the device, to wiping out the memory, to uninstalling the software completely but my problem remained.
I do get a long list of options while I am sending a text or BBM message.
Seems like it should be a simple task, but is a hoop jumping nightmare on the 1020. I simply want to email a photo to my printer (Epson Artisan 730), which only prints pdf attachments (jpgs do not print with epson email connect). I've downloaded several apps that promise to be able to create a pdf from a jpg image file and then mail it, but none seem to deliver on that promise.
EDIT: Now have jpeg printing working via email. Problem was paper source and size. Unfortunately can only use 4x6 default size for photos. Still need pdf printing from the main paper cassette to get larger prints.
I have tried all combinations I can think of but cannot attach a file on the Droid to an outbound e-mail.
I start to compose, put in the address, move to the body, hit the menu button, select attach file, select a file..... and then I get dumped back out at the inbox and when I open the draft, there is the original e-mail address and a new one too. but no attachment.
On my laptop, Dropbox saves files locally to c:/dropbox but I can't find a similar location on my Xoom's file manager.I can ask the Dropbox people but I suspect they will tell me to ask in a forum where the file management system of my device is known.
I have an SMS string of like 50 messages. I would like to either save this entire string as some sort of file and email it, or, just forward the string in some fashion.Only options I've seen in the realm of FWD were to do one at a time.I tried to even copy/paste however, when I highlight the txt, it automatically stops at the start/ending of each message, which would take awhile.
I am currently using a BB 9700 Bold and unable to attach when sending email a file with size more than 5 Kb.Everytime I try to use a attachment more than 5 Kb, I am getting to following message : Total attachment size exeeds the maximum allowed size.
1. Is there any way to fix that?
2. What is the maximum size of attachment that can be used?
I have an iPhone 4s and want to transfer spreadsheet .csv files i receive in emails to my total station, which I can already connect to using bluetooth. The issue I have is I cannot send the file from its email as an attachment.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1, Bluetooth file transfer from iPhone
How can I change it to play through the phone's regular earpiece? I've looked at the Sound settings, and couldn't find anything. Sounds are processed by the phone's default sound app. The volume is controlled through the Media volume control.
is there any way of selecting the file type that camera image files and video files are saved as? I know that the SGS2 supports various file formats, but I can't find anywhere that actually lets you select the format type. I've checked through the manual, Googled and searched various forums without luck.
I have a Nokia 5800 XM. I am not able to receive any file via Bluetooth if that file is not openable by Nokia. ie., if I receive a jpg or mp3 file, it receives fine, and when I open it from Messages, it tries to open it, and then I save it from the Message to the Gallery. But when I try to receive some other type of files which is not supported by the mobile, it receives the message, but it fails to open the bluetooth message and as a result, I am not able to save it to the Mass Memory. It says Un supported files. Say for instance, I am trying to receive a docx (Microsoft Word) file, then I face this problem. Is there any way to save the file directly to any folder in memory without trying to open the received message?Had it been some protected files like .SIS or .SISX then I would agree, but It's bad if I am not able to receive general files.
Using the stock File Manager app I can see audio files on my Maxx HD's internal storage and also on the SD card. I happen to be looking at ringtone files. If I tap on the filename to play the ringtone, Amazon Cloudplayer pops up and shows all the music files on my SD card. No ringtones can be found. If I back out of Amazon Cloudplayer and use the file manager to try finding and playing ANY audio file on EITHER my SD card or the internal storage I get sent to Amazon Cloudplayer. I then have to use the back button to get back to the file manager icon in the App drawer. Same thing happens if I try to play audio files on my SD card. Amazon Cloud Player pops up. I don't want to use Amazon Cloud Player to play an audio file in SD storage.
If I connect my phone to my PC and navigate to the ringtones on internal storage and click on them they play as per usual (Windows media player). If I use my PC to play audio files on the SD card they play as usual. Why does my phone default to Amazon Cloud Player when I tap on an audio file in File Manager? What is the stock audio file player on the Maxx HD? Why can't I browse to an audio file with the file manager and tap on it and have it play? How do I fix this?
