View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently synced my hotmail email to my new blackberry bold, for some reason it duplicates my signature, which I set on my hotmail, every time I send an email. When I get rid of the signature and just sign my name, it says my name twice. I have made sure that I don't have a signature set on my phone, and so it is just my hotmail one.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyone else missing the 'Edit Signature' option under Email Settings on their 9650? I just noticed this afternoon it's not there. I'm running 5.0.0.810 on BES.Not sure how long it has been missing; if it has been gone since June since I switched from my 8330 to this 9650 or if it was when I upgraded from .732 to .810.
Just wanted to check, I'll probably try downgrading back to .732 to see if it brings it back.I've actually only got three options under Email Settings; Enable HTML, Download images and Confirm external image download.
When emailing, or more importantly replying to emails the signature is placed at the very bottom of the email string. The signature is not placed at the end of the body of the message. If this doesnt make sense to all of you let me go further - if you are sending a reply to someone, your signature will show as the last line or lines on the message instead of after your main text and before the original email.
This happened to me when I had a BB 8820 and now with the BB 9700 I am starting to notice it. What puzzles me is that it does not happen all of the time. Has anyone done any testing with different mail servers? Is RIM working on a resolution for this issue? I think that it is great that people have mentioned using auto text and so on but thats not a solution, that is a work around.
where is the setting for controlling the auto signature on outgoing email? Every email that I send adds my name at the bottom. Can I turn that off/on or change the signature?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S2 GT -19100 from Sprint. I am fairly computer/tech savvy and previously had an iphone which I jailbroke, but have moved on to the wonderful, open architecture of Android.Right out the box I downloaded Odin and quickly figured out how to root the phone. After customizing it and downloading numerous apps, I quickly realized that the phone has a bug that causes it to drop calls and lose it's signal. I waited patiently for an update, however when the update finally came out, it was apparent that my phone would not update. It would try to reboot and then it would hang on the message of E:"Failed to verify whole-file signature". I tried some simple solutions such as wiping out the data and doing a factory reset. When I tried solutions that involved loading something from the SD card, it gives an error that it won't mount. I don't know if that's because it is looking for an external card (which it doesn't have) or if it's not "mounting" the internal one.
I have ROM Manager on my phone which has a Clockwork Mod Recovery option that I tried using, but like the example above, it hangs on the same message.Another site suggested that when something like this happens, you need to flash the kernel. I was going to try and use Odin to do that, but I am unsure of which kernel would be appropriate. Half the problem seems to be figuring out which kernel I currently have. I do not seem to be getting the same information as other get when looking at "About Phone" in the settings. Here are all of my specs:
Model number: SPH-D710
Android Version: 2.3.4
Baseband version: s: D710.10 S.EG30
Build version: Gingerbread.EG30
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7
Other websites tell you to find your kernel version by checking the phone and that it should be something like: 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKF1-CL256340 root@DELL106. All I have is 2.6.35.7.
whenever i make email, i can not attach more that 1 picture. and worst part is that the option is only for picture and contacts. other option for attaching file is missing.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have got myself the new bold 9900 and I really like it. However, I am not able to attach FIles and Videos while sending emails; I only get 2 options when I press the attach button while I am compising emails which are pictures and contacts. I also have a friend of mine who gets the attach file option on his emails.
I have tried everything, from rebooting the device, to wiping out the memory, to uninstalling the software completely but my problem remained.
I do get a long list of options while I am sending a text or BBM message.
I am trying to upload the certificate signed by an MDM Vendor to [url].. but it is telling me the signature is invalid.

I clearly remember receiving email from (ex)coworker of mine sent from his E71. And in the footer it was very pretty line "sent from my Nokia E71". Whenever i sent someone message they get in the footer less of a pretty line, well, it's not even a line more of a commercial for ovi store "Ovi store new apps every day" followed by link to ovi store. And it is not same as setting up signature in my mail. Because coworker of mine didn't have anything in his signature settings.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to get rid of my email signature on my BES account. I previously had an 8830, and I could go into email settings and turn the sig on and off. I could change the wording, etc. It worked perfectly.
With my Tour, every time I send an email, I still have the signature that I created with the 8830. I can change the email setting labeled "Use Auto Signature" (don't remember what it was called on the 8830) to Yes or No, and it doesn't affect anything. If I select "Yes", and type in a new signature, it still uses the one I created on the 8830.
