I've been using my facebook app since last year when I bought my handset. BB curve 8520. Recently, I found out that I'm updating my FB status from my BB but when I look at my newsfeed, it won't appear. I kept on refreshing my page, uninstalling the app but it doesn't fix my problem. But when I go to my timeline/profile, my update was there but not on newsfeed.

I'm in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and although I have the phone set to automatically detect time based on location, the time is showing an hour behind.Even when I set the time manually, my google calendar integration is showing all appoints an hour behind.(Google calendar is set to Atlantic Time, and changing it to Eastern will simply mess with all of my appointments. )I've been looking into this, and know that I'm not the only one with the issue. When I check the Timezones settings, both Eastern and Atlantic are flagged as GMT-4, which is wrong.I made a post on the HTC forums regarding this, but am not getting a feeling that it's going to go anywhere.
Called Bell, they couldn't help me, but created a ticket to appease me. I'll call back tomorrow for an update.Anyone have any advice on how to fix it? I tried getting into the timezones.db, in the /etc folder, but not having much luck getting it open on my PC.
I have an annoying problem with my contacts-application. Sometimes when I get a call from a saved contact, ONLY the number is displayed as if it was an unsaved number. This also happends sometimes when I call a contact from my phonebook, it only displays the number and not the name.This even happends when I call a number/contact from my "Recent calls"-list. Both outgoing and incoming calls.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy C7 is running on Anna 22.014 (unable to update to 25) and I am not able to see all the pictures in my mobile under "PHOTOS".I can only see the pictures taken from my camera, but not those which I download from web, from PC or Bluetooth.Also, if I connect my mobile to PC via mass storage and delete some pictures from my phone memory. I can still see those picture thumbnails in "PHOTOS" which I am not able to remove anymore.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Bold 9900. I haven't used it much for about three months and when I tried and turned it on, it shows me the red cross on a battery. Initially I thought the problem lies with the batteries as they hadn't been charged for a few months. I tried different methods to bring it back to life and by luck, I managed to charge the phone and it worked for 2 days.
Then I tried to restart my phone. It had almost full battery then. It turned off and then the red cross on the battery came up again. So I thought it might be a problem with the software so I made the stupidest mistake by connecting it to my computer and trying to repair the software.
Now my Blackberry is not turning on and constantly shows me the red cross. When I do manage to charge it, it gives me error 507. And when i try to connect it to my computer and repair it, the red cross comes up when the desktop software is "waiting for device to initialise". I've had this phone for about 9 months and it worked fine until I neglected it for some months.
All of a sudden the emails that normally come to my blackberry are not showing in the messages folder as they usually would? All I can see in my messages folder is a duplication of my text messages? Which I already have in my text messages folder. Have I inadvertantly changed a setting here or is there something wrong with my phone? I can see the emails arriving and read them but once they are read they disappear!?

View 1 Replies View RelatedA client of mine has 6 curve 9300s. The issue is when they are sent emails from macs containing PDFs. There appears to be no attachment. The issue is not the size of the PDF (tried very small PDF). Its not the mac itself. (i know the issues of HTML email/plain text/rtf). If it is sent from outlook for PC, it is fine. 2 handsets (same OS version - the latest orange UK version), getting an email sent from the same mac, to email accounts on the same external host at the same domain. 1 works, 1 doesnt. The recipients use the same version of Mac mail and both see it fine on their mac. If i go into messages options, then the one that fails has the sub choice of Email Account Management, this doesnt exist on the one that works. Yet its the same version of software! The one that works now, didnt work yesterday until i upgraded to the latest OS version. That didnt fix it for the other one. I just want emails sent from a mac, regardless of format, to get to the blackberry.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently had a problem that cause much delays on delivering bbm messages, so i wanted to try to reinstall it and hopefully that will solve the problem. I reinstalled it (it already was the lastest version) and after that it went to reboot, the blackberry was still on charge at that time and when the boot went complete, only white screen showed and the led was on green. i pulled the charger off and the led went of and started the phone normally. i noticed the the bbm was not available in the auto run nor in the "Instant Messaging". so i went to options applications, and found that there it is available, so i uninstalled it and installed a new one

I installed CaughtU Pro and in the settings I chose to hide the app, a default pin came up on screen but not long enough for me to make a note or take a screenshot. Now I can't find the app to "show" it again. When entering app manager, the app is listed but I don't have the option to disable or uninstall it.
