IPhone :: 4s Personal Hotspots Speeds?
Mar 28, 2012I have the iphone 4s and recently found out that my network allows me to tether other products to the iphone by using the Personal Hotspot option, and the data is included in my mobile bundle. I am looking at purchasing the new iPad, and perhaps just going for the wifi version as I can then use my iphone personal hotspot when another wifi network is not available.
My network is Orange UK - who have recently announced that they are to have a full 4g network up and running by the end of the year. If my iphone picks up a 4g signal, will this automatically make the wifi hotpost created by the phone for the iPad quicker than if it was connected to my phone with a 3g signal?

Jul 27, 2012at the hotel I am in the US there is free wifi--my provider is from another country - Using the hotspot of the hotel my bb connects only to internet and I am not receiving emails and I am not able to use the bb chat. what can I do? this has never happened to me. I usually just scan for networks available..login to the hotspot and everything works.

Nov 19, 2012I've had this issue before with Windows Phones where I ordered an HTC Titan from AT&T and it wouldn't allow me to use Wifi Hotspots even though I have it enabled on my Rogers account.
Does anyone know or can test it the new Windows Phones have the same issue? I'm interested in ordering a Cyan Lumia 920 from USA and unlocking it, but don't want to do this if Wifi tethering is locked to AT&T.

Jun 24, 2011I have been traveling a lot recently and taking advantage of using the airport lounges to relax before boarding my flights. The Admirals Club (American Airlines), the Red Carpet Club (United Airlines), the Chairman's Club (US Airways) often offer complimentary wifi access, usually via T-Mobile. Typically what you do is navigate to a web page co-branded with the airline's logo and click on "Wifi access" or a similar link.The problem is that the T-Mobile hotspot categorizes the Bravo as a phone, not a PC browser, and never takes you to the specific page for that airport lounge; I kept getting sent to a page where I was supposed to log in with a T-Mobile username. I finally gave up and called T-Mobile hotspot support who pointed me in the right direction even though they don't sell the Bravo.
Open your Bravo's stock browser.Enter about:debug in URL field and press Go. No visible feedback is given after the command is entered. Select Menu --> More --> Settings. At the bottom of the Settings list you should see 9 items in a section called Debug.Select the UAString item and choose Desktop.Press the back arrow to return to the browser. Feb 20, 2012I'm having trouble with my 4G Xoom; I've visited Tim Hortons and Dunkin Donuts, and have logged onto their free wifi, but each store uses the same SSID, and if I pull into the parking lot, my Xoom switches from 4G to wifi to connect. Now I believe the saved profiles are corrupted on my Xoom, as when I leave these establishments, my Xoom will not automatically go back to 4G, and requires a reboot to switch over. I would like to just clear my wifi settings and saved hotspots, but can't find a way to do this. I just wiped and restored my tablet, but it restored all of my hotspot settings and reloaded them. Dec 12, 2015I am not rooted. I can access my phone through Windows 10. But I cannot see all my folders. The 2 that I am having problems with are my Camera and Music folders. Some of the files are there. When I use ES File Explorer I can see and access them fine. Right now I cannot pull off any of the photos or videos I take. This all happened after upgrading to 6.0.1. I have tried 2 different cables and 2 different computers with the same results. I have made sure that USB Debugging is enabled. I also made sure that I had PTP and MTP enabled. Aug 27, 2011I m fed up with my Nokia N8 New Anna Symbian Software as after updating to it, i m unable to use Ovi Store. It gets stucks on My Stuff Page..... I gave my N8 to nokia care 3 times regarding this problem, each time they format it. Reinstall Anna and Ovi. But still the same problem. Infact I deleted my Ovi Account 3 times and made a new one 4th time.... I thought may be this problem is because of that, as i have download History in those account. I Have tried all possible Tricks and Methods posted on This Nokia Support Forum. I have tried the Following Tricks and methods:
1. Reinstalling Anna and Ovi.
2. Istalling Ovi Store manually by unsinstalling it.
3. Updating Ovi Store form version 2.12.042 to 2.12.043
4. Manually Installing all QT files.
5. Deleted my 3 Ovi Account and created 4th Account.
But still the same problem. M trying these all since last 5 days continuously...
