Over the past two days, receipt of emails using Gmail has not been instantaneous, or "pushed". This problem occurs intermittently, and at a serious delay of 45 minutes, to an hour.
View 9 RepliesIn the last 4 days I've had delays in receiving mails. It usually takes at 8 minutes for the mail to arrive. Although there are times it arrives faster it's never instantly (or up to 1 minute). I guess it's some sort of problem with my push notifications, I was wandering if it might be a hardware problem or is there anything I can do to fix this issue?

The recipient still has not got my email and I sent it 2 hours ago, I sent myself a test email and I got the same problem. Sent a test to a work emial and it arrived after 5 mins.
Also, my auto retrieve doesnt seem to work very well.
We are in the migration process of email Server, we will migrate all the users (POP 3) to Microsoft Exchange 2010. We had facing a problem for all the Blackberry mobile users, which mentioned that every single email will have to take 20 min to 30 min in order to transmit from Exchange Server 2010 to Blackberry mobile users. This is actually a big issue due to our top management users are blackberry users. We have performed a test, in which the email from the Exchange 2010 will only take 1-2 minutes in order to reach an Android phone or IPhone (using Active Sync).

Having reliability problems with SMS/MMS on 920? I would say right now the failure rate on MMS is roughly 80% and SMS is around 20%. I'm also noticing some seriously delay in some incoming SMS's (up to 20 minutes). It's 2012 and it's Nokia we are talking about... How can they possibly release a phone that struggles with the most basic of mobile phone tasks? I get that Nokia didn't receive WP8 until a few weeks before the device was released, but, I feel like I'm using a phone built with alpha/beta code.

Now, it has started receiving messages days later - most of the messages will arrive shortly after they were sent, but other arrive days later. It has also started notifying me of messages that I already received as new messages, multiple times. I have reset the phone twice, and the problem has persisted.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid Razr XT912. All of a sudden, I'm not receiving any text messages!! Messaging worked fine when I first got the phone (a few weeks ago), then a couple of days ago, there was a huge delay in getting texts (of a few hours to an entire day), and now, no text messages whatsoever (I know for sure that three separate people have texted me a few times and I've gotten nothing!). I dont' think it's a service issue, as I move around quite a lot and the messages haven't ever arrived (plus, I called my provider and they said everything was fine on their end, but I suppose that's what they always say).
Not sure what the problem is. I haven't made any big changes to the phone since when I received text messages without any problem. Calls/e-mails/updates/apps/etc.still working fine, but curiously, my weather widget stopped updating about a week ago, and still refuses to work, even though my coverage is allegedly fine.Ideas? The track-pad on my BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 stopped working so Sprint replaced my BlackBerry earlier today and I haven't received an email yet on my new BlackBerry. Email setup brings me to the screen where I, "Move Email Accounts", and after I click it, it says that the device change was successful and prompts me to enter my password. After doing so, it takes me to a screen to synchronize my contacts and when I click that, it says, "Activation failed. An error was encountered when sending the activation transmission." I REALLY don't feel like running down to Sprint again and asking them to configure the email for me. I need my emails.

My company just migrated over to a hosted gmail and I've added the email address to my BB and have configured the setting to IMAP enabled. I added the additional Lab to make sure the "show in imap" is checked off. However, I'm not receiving any emails. The ironic thing is that I'm able to send emails via my bb but when I reply from the outside address (reply via online), the reply message arrives in my actual inbox but not on my bb.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have recently had to reformat my 8900 and for some reason after setting up my gmail account i an receiving one copy of each email in my gmail folder and also recieving another copy of the same email in my messages folder. this means that i really am recieving 1 in the email folder and 2copies of the same email in the messages folder. i am using BIS and have tried deleting and re-adding the email account and also resending the service books. i tried looking around but couldn't see the same problem which makes me think it's something simple I'm missing. it's nothing to do with sent messages which i have no problems with.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been enjoying my new Galaxy S6 for the past couple days but one thing I've noticed is that I'm not receiving any Gmail push notifications. I only ever notice new emails getting pulled in when I open the Gmail (or Inbox) app, and it executes a refresh now that the app is open. If I'm not using the app or my phone's screen is off -- nothing.
I've tried a number of different things, including making sure Power Saving mode is turned off and ensuring that auto sync is enabled for my Google account. I've also made sure that all the appropriate Gmail labels are set to notify me.
One thing I've noticed, in the process of discovery for my Gmail issues, is that when looking at my Google sync information on my phone, the "last synced at" time is usually very out of date.. sometimes it's a couple hours ago, sometimes it's a day ago. I'm wondering if my phone is for some reason just not polling on a regular, more reasonable interval.
FYI I'm getting push notifications from other apps (including Hangouts) as expected.
I have a Gmail account set up on mail. Suddenly all I get is five emails that say "This email has no content" Followed by endless repetitions of the same thing all dated 12/31/00. I can't get any real email unless I go online on Google. Then my email is ok but I'd rather use Mail.

I use Facebook for Blackberry.So here's my problem - a few days ago I checked my Blackberry Bold 9700 and saw that I had received 28 email messages and 8 Facebook notifications.However none of these emails or Facebook notifications was new. They were all ones I had already received that day.
I deleted them all, and guess what - an hour later and they all came back into my email inbox and Facebook notifications.When I went to sleep that night, I woke up with 136 emails and 26 Facebook notifications - ALL OF THEM THE SAME REPEAT EMAILS OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
I have been on forums and tried removing my battery and SIM card (not very technical, that) as well as resending the Service Books after doing this. Nothing has solved this problem though.I really hope someone can help please as I'm seriously thinking of ditching my BlackBerry and buying an iPhone where this problem doesn't occur.
I have 3 email accounts that I synchronise with the email app. I use this app to have all my accounts in the same place, including my gmail account. The issue is that when I send an email, a copy of it is stored in the imap sent email folder of the account. Gmail do not recommend this practice because it saves all sent email by itself, and there for, if the client also saves a copy of the email, there is two copies stored. That's my problem. When using email app, I find in my email account twice the mail sent in the conversation. (How) can I configure the email app not to store the sent messages in the imap server ? I am running ICS official realease from sony (PC Companion) since yesterday.

I believe that it just stopped syncing last week and I believe that it was following a Motorola update, but cannot say for sure. Under Data Delivery, both Background Data and Data enabled are checked green. However, this is interesting because Email and corporate sync is grayed out on that screen. When I go to Account, checking the sync options is not possible, but I can do a manual sync. Please note, at one time, these options to sync Contacts, Gmail and Calendar were available. I've pulled the batter. I really do not want to reset to factory default. Suggestions? (Please note this is a company Gmail account, not just regular Gmail.)

I don't know if my thread title makes sense but basically what I would like to know is what are the advantages of downloading the Gmail app vs just setting up a Gmail account through my BIS (Email Settings/Add Account)? My main objective here is wireless contacts sync. I have read a lot of negative feedback regarding Gmail on a BlackBerry but I will not really even be using this for email all to often, although I will from time to time.
What I have done is just added my new Gmail account through the native BlackBerry email setup and then downloaded Google Sync. I downloaded the Gmail app but I didn't really like the UI and I like to have all 3 of my email accounts go into the same folder.
When I get an email I like how the blackberry automatically opens up the email application if I pull it out of the holster.The only problem is that it pulls up the Messages inbox and not my gmail account inbox.Any way to fix this or do anything about it? I have the gmail enhanced plugin if that makes a difference.Also on a totally unrelated note is there a way to search the gmail server from the gmail plugin app?

View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes the native HTC Mail app in Sense UI, push gmail? Or any other IMAP connections that support the IDLE command? Or does only the native gmail app push gmail? I ask, because I have multiple email accounts on my phone, gmail, hotmail, etc.. gmail is on the native gmail app, which is currently pushing... but the others are in the HTC Mail app.
I'd rather have 1 app for everything, instead of bouncing between.. IMAP is IMAP.. which the HTC Mail app supports (for moving to and from folders).. but if it doesn't push using the IDLE command (like gmail app does).. then I'm stuck where I am.
There is a delay (~300ms) in the incoming audio stream when using the built-in sip client. i've spent days figuring out its cause. tried with a local sip registrar ([e72] [linksys spa921], both on the same lan) but the latency is the same. pings to the phone are in the 20ms range, so this couldn't be the source of the delay. i've played around with the codecs (g711, g729) and jitter buffer settings, and it didn't help either. my conclusion was that it must be the nokia sip stack which introduces the latency. then i installed fring and nimbuzz (i think they have a proprietary sip ipmlementation), same latency again... at last i wrote a simple j2me ping-like application to test the socket connection performance to my pc, and all the packets arrived in <30ms.
do you have any ideas? btw, does anybody know if the engineers at nokia were smart enough making it possible to focus the camera when the optical navi key is disable.
